Greetings Beloved Kin,
13 Storm/CAUAC marks the Ascension of the path of the Deer/MANIK. The Deer reflects the Means and the Only Way to manifest a Life of Beauty that holds a Divine Meaning and Purpose.
Ephesians 6:12
12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this world’s darkness, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
With each round of the Tzolk’in we are reborn as a new Seed of our Self, Free of Karma. The Creator always sees us as we were in the beginning.
Our own vision of our self is corrupted by Choices led by the Ego. When we fall short, evil finds its way into our life through our doubts and fears. The Liar jumps in to tell us, “You’ll never be enough. You might as well give up, and give in.”
The Deer’s path is the ONLY WAY to make it through. Love has to be a Choice of Free Will. Our Ego tells us otherwise – if only we made enough money, if only we looked good enough, if only we were older/younger, “if only” – to infinity. The harder we try, the more we realize it’s impossible. When we follow the thoughts of the liar, we lose faith and end up on the road of never-ending sorrow.
The ONLY WAY that works is the Choice to kneel at an altar in Humility, accepting the Truth of all our limitations. Through the Offering, we are Atoned by the Truth of the Creator’s Unconditional Love. The Creator doesn’t “see failure.” We had to fail, to learn.
MANIK holds the Element of Water that passes through the Heart. Every lie holds an element of Truth. But the Whole Truth includes a matter of Unconditional Love. No choice we made in the past will define us, only the Choices we make for the future. In the end, we’re defined by the “sum of the whole change.” That’s the Truth every Human Being is offered through the Promise of Answered Prayers.
When we employ the Vigilant Eye of the Deer, we can’t fail as long as we’re willing to see the darkness and the Light. Life is complicated for all the reasons we make choices to “go along.” We have to make Conscious Choices or there will always be someone else to blame.
When we Choose the Deer’s path, we are connected to the Highest Power Above. A Hand Above will never let go, no matter how many times we fail. Our Divine Intention will be the Truth that stands.
The rune of Algiz is a symbol of the Sage and the Tree of Life. Like the antlers of the Deer, we have to reach beyond our Human Power to succeed. Only a Power Greater than our self can raise the Tree of our Divine Life. The runes are a language of lines and angles. From one perspective it’s easy to see the symbol of Human with hands reaching to the up above. The effect of the Divine Cause are the directions of the angles. Algiz reflects two angles from Above that point directly to the Heart. We can’t reach for the Higher One without knowing the Answer to our Prayer, by the Love that flows through our Heart.
It’s a “hard road” when we forget. It’s a Divine Road, when we Remember.
May we keep a Vigilant Eye to track our doubts and our fears. Pay attention to the lies that follow so you’ll see them coming a mile away. The Deer can take the arrow to the heart that passes right through.
It’s impossible to get too far off-track, when you kneel before the Highest One every day. Then you’ll remember how you’re always enough, when a Hand Below and a Hand Above hold the Power of Divine Trinity.
1 Corinthians 13:13
“And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.”
We can’t help but succeed with these three Divine Intentions. It’s impossible to believe without faith, and without Love our life will never mean a thing.
There are greater mountains to climb. We know we can, when we remember the Hand Above. The Highest One will win the war between good and evil with every humble offering of Faith, Hope and Love.
love, in lak’ech,
Debra, 9 Eagle/MEN
PS – ANOTHER BIG LIE – No one will ever know. (WE KNOW, and GOD KNOWS.)

Galactic Tone 13: Ascension. Thirteen assists us to go to the next higher step, propels us to try something new or to try again. Thirteen energy takes us over the next mountain just to see what is there. Thirteen carries the last success to the newest effort. Thirteen is a number associated with the Ascended Masters, creation, expansion, and manifestation.
Storm/Cauac: Day of the blessing of rain, giver of all life and lightening, a gift of nitrogen to Mother Earth and ozone to Father Sky. Cauac is also associated with the moon and the cycles of the moon, which are the meter of the feminine aspect of creation. The essence of Storm is the feeling of unity, security and warmth experienced in the home while the tempest of trouble rages in the world outside. Perpetually youthful, Storms exist to experience the ecstasy of freedom. They have the great capacity to both learn and teach. Their constant quest for novel experiences often leads to difficult tests and storms of emotion. Looking at these difficulties for the lessons they indeed are, will enrich our lives rather than destroy. Cauac individuals teach much through their electricity of being. Lightning energizes earth, this same energy energizes humans. Divine connections can be accessed.
Cherokee, Redbird/TOTSU’HWA: Redbird’s symbol is Alcyone of the Pleiades Star in constellation Taurus. Alcyone is the Central Sun of the Universe, heart of heaven. Lightning is the visible evidence of the presence of Redbird Spirit in the Sky, daughter of the Sun Spirit, sign of Fire, Sun’s alter ego on Earth. Redbird is a feminine sign; the hand that rocks the cradle. The symbol of nurturing, the lightning nurtures and energizes, with energy for zest, curiosity, imagination, and ideas. Lightning adds spiritual force to the human by way of “lightning of the blood” of a healer, directly body to body vibration. The key to spiritual communication and access to the wisdom of the Ancestors lies in the ability to bestir the blood to speak. Sacred stones such as flint, obsidian, crystal are created by lightning striking the ground.
