9 Deer / MANIK
Greetings Beloved Kin,
Peak Tone 9 raises the Intention of Patience to see the big picture. There is said to be suffering to bear for lack of insight if we fail to complete this step. Tone 9 is all about completion. Number 9 holds the value of 3 x 3, the exponential Power of Divine Trinity.
Love is the Creator’s Power over all the darkness in the world. We’re drawn to maturity by every climb to claim our own Consciousness of the Truth. Deer/MANIK stands in position 7, representing the Truth of our Power to create our own reality. The Deer’s gift is the Vigilance to Look to See Love in every direction. The Deer establishes the Divine Truth with foot to firmly planted in all 4 directions.
The Deer’s Mission is to always look for Love and to pray on behalf of the whole for the Truth to be known for the Highest Good of the whole. By Divine Design, what we look for is what we will see. Human’s seed was planted on Mother Earth where the Beauty of Love is the Truth from the micro to the macro, Above, Below, and within. We could never look and not see the Beauty of us all. If nothing else, the Human body is a miracle. So much more is the Consciousness we were given to see and know the Truth.
The glyph illustrates the Hand, another name for MANIK, reaching to grasp a thread of Light with the power of plasma to forge a circuit to the Greatest Power of the Universe. When we offer a Human hand to the Will of the Creator, a Hand Above will never let go. We only have to ask once. If we’ve ever asked for the help of Divine Agency, the prayer was Answered according to the Word of the Highest One.
We forget when we’re turned away from the Light and all we look to see is the darkness. Mother Earth never fails to turn us around to the Sunrise that promises a new day and another chance to See all the possibilities of Love again for a brand new beginning.
To complete the Truth and to manifest the Creation, by Human Nature we need to see the Reason why Love will never fail us. Humans will always fail us by the Truth of our limitations and the emotions of our Ego. Unconditional Love is beyond our reach to carry out in a way as perfect as the One Above. We can only Ask to Know and look to see with every passing day to Remember. Reaching is all we have to do, and carrying on with an Intention to Love from every beginning.

A Hand Above and a Hand Below
Deer/MANIK is the Destiny Kin of the Mayan priest, the one who follows a path to the altar and counts every day as an opportunity to reach Holy Ground. The Deer stands in silence, believing that the Whole Truth and nothing but the Truth is held in the Hand Above. We can only stand on the Truth we know, and kneel to the One in Humility. A Divine Creator controls the Time we see the Truth, so Love will always be a Mystery revealed as a Miracle.
Faith is everything we need to carry on. Love is the Light in the darkness of the Unknown and Unseen.
Hebrews 11:1 KJV
1 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. 2 This is what the ancients were commended for. 3 By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.
We only have to look to see that every creation by God and by Human began in the Unseen realm of our Imagination. All the Beauty that is was created from the Mind of the Highest One. It’s the truth we could see even in the question, “what’s for dinner?” The reality that comes to pass was created from the invisible thoughts of our imagination. The mystery was veiled on purpose to grow the Faith that was needed to live in a world where every Human was given the Power to Choose. Welding the power of the Choice with all our Human limitations, we were destined to be “failures” in the eyes of another. Our Divine Justice was the promise of Unconditional Love, and the Consciousness to live and learn.

Deer/MANIK is an earthly nahaul of a Guiding Light with the power of Harmonic Resonance. Lower vibrations are drawn into sympathy by a “pure tone” of Love. All we need to be Happy is One Person who sees us as worthy, who upholds our Faith in our Dreams and shares the burden of our sorrows.
Forgiveness is as close as Human can come to Unconditional Love, after we look to see the fault in another. At an altar we remember the One who only looks to see our Highest Intentions and the sorrow of every failure.
When we claim the Truth of Love by Faith we never have to defend our self in a world where others fail to look to see the whole picture. Number 9 is a Symbol of Divine Trinity, Above and Below. Expressed as 3 x 3, the “X” is the symbol of the exponential power of Love. ALL things are possible when we reach for the Creator’s Hand of Love.
MANIK resides in the West, the direction of the Unknown. Holding the Element of Water, the Truth is known by the Living Water that flows through the Heart. Water is the substance that carries Life to every cell of Human’s body and to the Mind that reaches to know. The fires within are ignited by every Sacred Breath of Air that’s needed to maintain our Consciousness and our Life. Human can go without food and water for a time, but without a Breath of Air our Time is limited to about 3 minutes.
Water is used by the Mayan priest for Blessings, Purification, Initiations, Baptisms, and for the Consecration of a dedicated path, a promise offered below to the One Above. We kneel in Humility with every Promise, knowing from the beginning the best we can offer is an Unseen Intention to Love. That’s all we need to stand on the Truth that’s seen from Above.
The Deer holds all the Spiritual Tools we need to stand in silence without defense. The Mayan priest holds the Medicine Bundle that was passed down through the ages from the One who came before. The most important tool was the Staff, the Unseen Truth that reflects the Highest promise – a Divine Provision for every Human limitation. That’s the One and Only Truth we can stand on no matter how we fail, when our Intention was to Love.
The Deer is known for the mystery of disappearing after it’s been struck by an arrow. There’s a hunter’s myth that there’s a hollow place high in the chest when the Deer exhales, where an arrow can pass right through. With every cry for help, we create a place for the arrows of the world can pass right through us. We create the place when we allow the suffering of Human injustice to pass on by.
In the 4th uinal we found the stability for our Human legs to stand. In the 5th uinal, we are being empowered to walk in the footsteps of Love that came before. In the big picture, Loving is the only way that makes Common Sense. Humans never know the whole Truth of what we Love until it’s gone. The farther we find our self in the woods, the more we long to see the Light again from Above.
Wherever One kneels in prayer on behalf of the whole, there’s an opportunity for another join in Divine Trinity. A Divine Creator counts every day of our Life and knows exactly when we need to see the Truth that will save us. Kneeling at an altar is the place where miracles happen every day… it’s a Miracle, when we remember to Ask for a Hand from Above.
in lak’ech, i am another you

HOLDING THE WAY OF THE JAGUAR: The Power of Gratitude
I’m grateful to Witness the Beauty of Life, and to Know the Reason is Love.
THE NEW MOON, JUNE 18, 2023
We were given the Light of the Full Strawberry Moon to see the first fruits of the Season of Full Sun. The Longest Day of Light lies just beyond at the Summer Solstice. May we prepare our Hearts for the Offering of Divine Intention. Human’s heart was designed with the capacity to Feel the Sorrows of the Whole. May we take in plenty of Living-water that can be shared as a blessing of Light to the Whole. May our hearts share the burden of suffering with those who live in need of clean water. We are ONE body. Through Love we can help to sustain the whole.
June 18, 2023 marks our Ascension to Higher Ground on 13 Monkey/CHUEN, the Human Creator and Alchemist of Love. May we create our future with the Magic of Gratitude to create Faith as “Confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” Before we see it, may we count our blessings for the bounty that will be offered by the Light of the Harvest Moon. (Berries were acknowledged by the Ancient Ones as a Divine Harvest, tended and cultivated by a Hand Above. Berries are among the superfoods on Earth.) Can you imagine the human who has never tasted a strawberry? The Elders taught that it is a Divine Service to eat for someone who goes without. As the blessing before every meal, they shared the way of touching our food and offering the first/best bite to Spirit at our altar or as an Offering to Life outside on Mother Earth. (What was your Divine Ancestor’s favorite food of Summer? My Grandma Naomi loved strawberries in the Summer, and Brach’s old-fashioned chocolate cream drops at Christmas. She hid an extra stash. We laughed. We had zero interest in them. I still buy them for her at the holidays and eat one or two. They’re better than I remembered.)

9 Deer/MANIK (Cherokee, Deer/Ahwu’sdi) – Day 9 of 13 of the 1 Storm/CAUAC Trecena
Descriptions by Ian Xel Lungold, 12 Sun/AHAU, from MayanMajix.com
Galactic Tone 9: Patience. The energy of Nine is one of the getting a better perspective of the bigger picture. With the energy of Nine plans or patterns begin to come to completion. Nine requires patience and perseverance that is found in the bigger picture, otherwise there is great suffering from the lack of insight. The completion of cycles of action is all-important to Nine.
Deer/MANIK (Hand): Deer are spirit tools. Silence itself is a spiritual experience for Deer. For Deer life is a pilgrimage. Deer are dominant persons who defend the people and will make sacrifices for others. The spirit of Deer upholds the pillars of the four directions. With the power inherent in the number four, Deer pushes away bad influences or negative energies. Skill and quality of work are very important to Deer. They are presented with tools for every task in life and it is with these that they are able to rise above limitations. Deer has a habit of keeping every tool it has ever used. This leads to clutter and indecision, loss and procrastination. When confronted with promises not kept, Deer becomes stubborn, manipulative and evasive.
A GOOD DAY TO: Be of Service to Others
Cherokee, Deer/Ahwu’sdi: Symbolized by Constellation Galagina, the Stag, known as Taurus, the Bull. It does not include the Pleiades and Hyades clusters which in Cherokee are viewed as separate. To feed, gatherers of food and supplies, they enjoy rituals, ceremonials, feasts, the souls of hospitality, sociability. Freedom versus security issues often inspire leadership and unique solutions. Combined with artistic and inspiring energies in harmony with lunar cycles, they nourish the clans. Totem-Deer: A priest or shaman, a powerful person in general, to overwhelm an individual with one’s personal power, divination; inclined to become a teacher, healer, guru, civic leader, or politician. Ability to create harmonic resonance.
