A Whole Investment for the Harvest of Light to Manifest a New Life
StarWalk News: September 11-17, 2023
From September 11 to September 17, the Moon will visit the constellations Cancer, Leo, and Virgo. This week, the planets Venus (mag -4.8), Mercury (mag 2.0), and Mars (mag 1.7) will be the brightest dots near the Moon.
On September 16, the Moon will meet Mars in the constellation Virgo. The planet will have a magnitude of 1.7 and will mostly travel the daytime sky. The 1-day-old Moon will be 2%-illuminated and hard to observe. Observers from the southern latitudes will find the duo in the evening sky after sunset. Also, a lunar occultation of Mars will be visible from North America and northern parts of South America.
The New Moon in Virgo: September 15, 2023
The New Moon, literally and figurativevly, turns to take in the Full Light of the Sun. The September 15 New Moon in Virgo has taken in the Light of the Blue Super Moon from it’s perigee, nearest position to Earth in 2023. The New Moon is raising the Spring Tides to their peak, September 17, 2023. A “spring tide” – also known as a “King Tide,” refers to the springing forth of the tide during the new and full moon. The Blue Super Moon in Pisces offered the Intention to raise our Faith to Believing in Powers Greater than our self.

A garden plot in Kansas tended by my ancestors and the generations that followed. The Earth there is fertile, dark and sandy loam.
The next new moon is on Thursday September 14, 2023 at 9:40 PM EDT or September 15, 2023 at 1:40 AM UTC. It is the last new moon of the Summer 2023 season as the third new moon after the Summer Solstice. As the new moon for the September Full Moon, the September 14th new moon is called the New Harvest Moon, and the new moon in Virgo. FullMoonology.com
The September New Moon presents the last chance for planting seeds for crops that will mature quickly before the first fall/winter frosts, while the water table rises in the Earth. September is the time of the “Indian Summer,” a second Summer before the Fall Equinox.

Radishes, Spinach, and Swiss Chard are the recommended vegetables for planting in Kansas. Lettuce is another seed that can mature quickly. This New Moon presents some urgency to “make hay” for the last of the growing season before Winter. This is also the time for clearing the garden and turning the soil. Radishes, cabbage and other root vegetables were among the staples that could be easily stored up to last through the winter. Our Grandfathers and Grandmothers took advantage of every opportunity to create a harvest as a means for survival to the next Spring.
The Astrology of the New Moon in Virgo
The New Moon in Virgo calls forth an intention to nurture the Creation of a New Life. It’s time to clear our garden of life, and to choose the Seeds of a Dream we know can survive through the darkness of the Unknown. The New Moon in Virgo calls for a whole investment of our Heart for the Dreams we know will last. This is a Time to turn away from Love that’s here today and gone tomorrow.
The Creator’s Love is the Light of Forever that will see us through. It’s time to depend on our self and to nurture our own Life. Virgo shares the analytical, objective reasoning to the duty. Mars is the planet that raises our passion to carry on in a good and worthy way in its position next to the Moon.
What whole investment can we make to claim the Power and the Meaning for the Time? We can capitalize on the Time given to clarify and purify our thoughts and intentions. Human was given the power of theurgy to call upon a Hand of Divine Agency through our rituals and ceremonies. They are “actions of Faith” that Human can See to Remember the Experience.
This is time to invest our self in an experience that we will remember as we prepare for the Dreamtime of Winter.
- We can continue clearing away the rubble of our life that no longer serves us. We can purify our body, soul, and our sanctuary through a clearing of sage and sweetgrass. Bay Leaf (laurel) is another aromatic that’s usually on hand that has been used down through the ages to burn to clear the air. Eucalyptus cleans the air, and can also be brewed as tea. This is a worthy time for ritual bathing. We can receive the blessing as a source of descending Light.
- We can write a list of the Dreams – the Seeds of our Intentions – that we will nurture in our Heart. We can claim the end from the beginning through the Magic of Gratitude to Count our Blessings for prayers that are already answered by our Intention that looks to see the Truth that they will be a blessing to the whole.
- We can make a tea ceremony to bless the body and our mind when we make the whole investment of Time to bless the water and the ingredients we use for a purpose of Intention.
- The most important investment is the Time we offer our self to invest our own best effort in our meditation and prayers, as a tangible experience our subconscious mind will remember.
We have a little time, but the days are short until the Spring Tide, September 17, 2023. It’s worth the Time that it takes to choose our own way. May we remember and Honor the blessings of Mother Earth that are extended for another short season of Light. A Divine way is to Give Back and Pay Forward. I found a suggestion online to return the remaining tea and the ingredients as an Offering back to Earth. The more ways we invest our Heart, the more we’ll remember the Love that’s here today, and the Love that will carry on tomorrow.
There is a “second Light” of Divine Possibilities that will descend at the Fall Equinox, before we reach the Harvest Moon, September 29, 2023. May we walk a Divine Walk of remembering that a Supreme Lord of Creations is the Divine Witness to all the Love we invest for our highest purpose. May we invest in our own ever-lasting Faith in the One that knows the True condition of our Heart and is here and now to lead us through all our different ways.
May we seal a Divine Covenant of Love through a choice to forgive, so we can know and remember that our failures in the past are as far away as the East is from the West. May we remember the prayer of a Savior for anything that still feels too hard to forgive. A Divine Father can forgive for us when our heart is willing and open to a Divine Way, and a prayer we Know will be answered from Above.
One of the challenges of Virgo is over-thinking. We can ask for help and the willingness to let all matters rest in the Hands of Divine Agency. As we share our prayers for abundance, may we ask for the same blessings to be poured out on the whole. May we raise a Voice of Gratitude for what a Divine Mother and a Divine Father can do, so the Sound will be magnified by the water of the Spring Tides within and ripple through the whole.
love, in lak’ech, i am another you

NOTE: You can also look at dates from a different direction. What is the Destiny Kin number of your day sign’s 3rd tone? You may have overlooked a life-changing day. Use the Kin Calculator offered on the Daykeeper’s Resource Page for a date six years before or after. If you are just starting to count the days and don’t have a journal from the last round, when something major happens in your life you can look to see if there was a major event on that same date before. You can also look for Signs in the “distance of time” – the number of days between one day and another, from the Time and Date Calculator linked on the resources page. Example – 33 days is a symbol of a day that you actualize the Truth from the beginning date.
11 Sun/Ahau (Cherokee, Flower/Gun’tsi) – Day 11 of 13 of the 1 Dog/OC trecena
Descriptions by Ian Xel Lungold (12 Sun/AHAU), wisdom preserved on MayanMajix.com
Galactic Tone 11: Resolution; 11 assists every new thing to find it’s place in the universe in the process of ‘fitting in.’ some modifications must occur. Eleven is the energy of dynamic actions facilitating change, simplification and improvement.
Sun/Ahau: Day of the ancestors and connection to their guidance. The divine face of the sun – lord, musician, singer, dancer, and marksman. Suns are artistic, heroic athletes, visionaries with wise judgement who lead and defend the people. So much is expected from themselves and by other people that unfulfilled expectations are a certainty. An accumulation of these disappointments may lead Sun to evade responsibilities, not accept corrections and even build resentment and disdain towards others. Suns should simplify their lives to be able to rise and shine with unconditional love once again.
A GOOD DAY TO: Ask for the Wisdom and the continued honored memory of our Ancestors.
Cherokee, Flower/GUN’TSI EK: Symbol is the Sun, place of abode of Great Spirit. The Sun creates, nurtures and is the super communicator, the way station that relays messages and energy from other stars in the galaxy; provides energy for channeling information from the Ancestors; speaking the Living Language of Light, which ignites the consciousness in others. Gold is the color of courage and opportunity of wealth. Creative arts, master craftsman expressing divinity and wisdom through their creations. The face of the flower follows the Sun gathering the fire of creativity, illuminating harmony and balance, resonating peace and continuity within the human spirit. This is the Sign of the Chalice of the Infinite, Caldron of Creation.
