Comet Nishimura survived it’s hairpin turn around the Sun.

SPACEWEATHER.COM NEWS: September 18, 2023

SOME COMETS LIKE IT HOT: Yesterday, Sept. 17th, Comet Nishimura (C/2023 P1) made a close approach to the sun deep inside the orbit of Mercury (0.22 AU). The comet survived. Petr Horalek photographed it emerging intact from Mount Lysa in Sabinov, Slovakia:

“Because of the glare of sunset, the comet was not visible to the naked eye, however I was able to photograph it using a 5 second exposure at ISO 1000,” says Horalek. “The comet’s brightness is hard to estimate. Considering other stars and the comet’s location over the horizon, I believe it to be magnitude 2.0 to 2.5.”

Horalek’s estimate agrees with that of other experienced observers. If the comet remains this bright, it could become easy to see as it recedes from the sun in the evenings ahead. Stay tuned for updates. (Links to more photos on Spaceweather.com, 09/18/2023 Issue)

MEANWHILE…

AND ANOTHER CME IS COMING: A huge magnetic filament erupted on Sept. 16th, hurling a CME almost directly toward Earth.

NOAA and NASA models agree that the CME should hit Earth’s magnetic field on Sept. 19th. NOAA says early on the 19th, NASA says late, which gives a sense of the uncertainties in their respective forecasts.

The impact could spark G1 (Minor) to G2-class (Moderate) geomagnetic storms. During a similar G2 storm on Sept. 12th, auroras were photographed in multiple US states as far south as Colorado and Missouri. It could happen again this week.

THE TRECENA OF NIGHT/AKBAL: A Light that Shines in the Darkness

Visit the 13-Day Trecena Guide Page for the “Tzolk’in Field Guide: A Daily Practice for Personal Discernment.” My gift for the Tzolk’in round offers an overview for each 13-day trecena and the aspects of each day of the Tzolk’in round. The page also offers a link to resources for your own practice of counting the days to conceive your own discernment of the Meaning of Time.

NEW SEASON – VOLUME 2: Tzolk’in Seasons 3 and 4 (PUBLISHED SEPTEMBER 20, 2020)

NOTE: You can also look at dates from a different direction. What is the Destiny Kin number of your day sign’s 3rd tone? You may have overlooked a life-changing day. Use the Kin Calculator offered on the Daykeeper’s Resource Page for a date six years before or after. If you are just starting to count the days and don’t have a journal from the last round, when something major happens in your life you can look to see if there was a major event on that same date before. You can also look for Signs in the “distance of time” – the number of days between one day and another, from the Time and Date Calculator linked on the resources page. Example – 33 days is a symbol of a day that you actualize the Truth from the beginning date.
