A Clarion Call to Life
THE TRECENA OF REED/BEN: CONNECTING THE CIRCLE OF LIFE
MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
5 Earth/CABAN (ka ‘bahn), Cherokee, Heron/GUWI’SGUWI, Destiny Kin 57
January 30, 2024 (01/30/2024); Last Round: May 15, 2023 (05/15/2023)
Greetings Beloved Kin,
We know what we’re made of on Days guided by Earth/CABAN. We are the fertile soil for the Life of our Dreams. Everything Human knows about Life we learned from Earth. She’s the comparison for everything else we would hope to find on another home in the stars.
Mother Earth holds the Abundance for everything we need. The grass could never be any greener somewhere else. There are more vistas on Earth than we could ever experience. Living in Harmony we hold the exponential power to figure things out. When it serves the Highest Good of the Whole, there’s no end to Life in Abundance to infinity. Earth/CABAN is the “Identity Imprint” with the Mother of us all.
Tone 5 raises the Intention of Empowerment, representing the Center of the Cube as a Central Force of Intelligence that manages Resource for their Highest Application. By Divine Design in the 5th Hour, after we’ve surveyed the work at hand, we gather the tools, the paints, the ingredients for Creation before “the work” begins. We don’t have to follow. We do, when the end is an expression of Love.
From a Higher Perspective, Tone 5 empowers us with the proof that “we can.” We have everything we need. We imagine the beginning and the end we can see as the elements of Divine Inspiration. Tracking our thoughts, we’ll always find the Inspiration came first before we saw the end. Creation begets creation. We don’t want to be interrupted from the state-of-mind when we’re experiencing creation. Creation is manifested as a Divine Communion, when our Hand is dedicated to the Creator’s Masterpiece.
The Beauty of Earth in form and function is the Muse for every creation that’s Inspired from the Heart of Sky. She shares the Fire that burns in the Heart.
Earth/CABAN is a Clarion Call to live with all our Heart. CABAN is the Call for every Great Migration on Earth. Migrations are guided by a geomagnetic sense of direction, triggered by the Light of the Sun and the length of the Day. We are aligned from within and set on course by a Clarion Call known to all living things made of Earth.
Symbols of Empowerment: 01/30 breaks down to 555555, plus another for Tone 5 makes 7 x 5; 5 CABAN’s Destiny Kin is 57. The power of a symbol is raised to Consciousness for every time we see it.
The Clarion Call is a Sense of Knowing “we can” and a burning in the heart that Knows “we Will.” We can live with ALL our Heart when we imagine the Creator is always by our side, seen in a million ways if we only take in the Beauty of Life on Earth. The Creator is the Light of Life in all things, and the Light of the Life within.
Day Ollin (Movement, known as Caban in Maya) is governed by Xolotl as its provider of tonalli (Shadow Soul) life energy. This is an auspicious day for the active principle, a bad day for the passive principle. Ollin is a day of the purified heart, signifying those moments where human beings may perceive what they are becoming. A good day for transmutation, which arrives like an earthquake that leaves in its wake the ruins of rationality, order and the preconceived.
The thirteen day period (trecena) that starts with day 1-Acatl (Reed) is ruled by Chalchihuitlicue, goddess of lakes, rivers and seas, goddess of horizontal waters. This trecena signifies the transitory nature of all that we may gain in life: it is a reminder to view success and failure, gain and loss, as matters of fate and not as matters of personal worth. The elementals do not reward nor punishment our efforts but, rather, construct the maze within which we might perfect our hearts. The 13 days of this trecena reveal our hearts to us, based on whether we have decided to live within the house of shadows or to seek the secret of happiness elsewhere. These are good days to travel to new places; bad days to hide in fear.

Ollin simply means Movement. At the center of the Aztec calendar the Ollin points to 20 Times of Knowing the Truth from a perspective that shatters an image we held before. Transformation that was hard to see in everyday steps is realized all at once, and we can apply what we Know we can do. Whatever the realization may be, this is not a day to just “go along.” A Divine Life is waiting for us to choose it.
The Cherokee Day sign is the Heron, a nahaul of perpetual migration. The Heron is also a symbol of the Phoenix. Transmutation sets Fire to matters that no longer carry any weight. We’ve been bound in a cage and the Creator opened the door.
Maybe there’s been a matter that’s held you back, and you were carrying the full weight for the Time you’ve waited for the Divine Inspiration that sets the creative wheels in motion. There’s a Time for every meaning and purpose. You’ll know when it’s Time.

The glyph illustrates the 3 Divine Thoughts for Knowing. First is the straight line that begins in the East, as Human’s first thought of objective consciousness (ie. “what is it?”). That thought automatically turns to our Imagination (if we think “what it is” is relevant). We imagine “what it means.” The 3rd thought is the Discernment of Divine Trinity, when we leap beyond Human understanding to imagine Divine Possibilities. (Tesla would likely repeat the 3 thoughts 3 times. The more we look, the more we see.)
The Signs suggest the Heart of Sky is attracting our attention to an Empowerment As Above, So Below. The more time we have to see things from every angle, the wiser our choices will be. And, the wiser our choices, the less time it will take in the long run. From the Creator’s point of view, once you Know you’ll reach the end, it’s already the Truth.
It’s hard to say what we may feel as the Earth moving beneath our feet. Like an earthquake, the unexpected nature of the experience may be an earth-shattering revelation of Truth behind the scenes. My pilgrimage to Ek’ Balam was a one experience of knowing I was exactly where I was supposed to be for some Reason beyond my understanding. There were signs of synchronicity from the beginning to the end. I saw the Signs but I didn’t expect where Faith would lead me in the future.
We can take inventory of all our Blessings using the “earth magic” of Gratitude to build a Sanctuary in the Sky. We only need an “X” to mark the spot. Our Reality in Spirit is always more than we can imagine.
love, in lak’ech, i am another you

THE JAGUAR’S EARTH MAGIC OF GRATITUDE:
I’m grateful for the beauty of Life everywhere you look on Mother Earth.
We can Heal the Earth with our Love and Attention. This is Time to honor the blessings of Earth that never end from here and now to our place in the stars.
THIS IS A GOOD DAY TO: Give Thanks to Mother Earth for all her gifts. ~ Ian Xel Lungold.
Matthew 6:31-33 NIV
31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

Galactic Tone 5: Empowerment. At the center of the cube we find Five. Five is an intelligent, organizing force which manages communications and materials, knowledge and application. Fives are natural net workers who gather what is needed. These persons can probe directly to the core of any situation making them excellent investigators.
Earth/Caban: Earth/Caban: Keeper of the garden of Earth. Profound synchronistic connections to Earth’s natural cycles and energies provide power of creations and memories of ancient wisdom. Earth persons help dispel bad intentions, habits and ideas. This makes them very good counselors and masters of all arts. Studious and intelligent, Earth persons endeavor to bring a flow of natural order to all aspects of life. Being connected to the dynamic forces of nature, Earth persons need much liberty to facilitate their expression of migration or the sending of long distance communications such as the whales, elephants, birds and many other creatures. Sometimes Earth’s delicate sensitivities are upset resulting in quakes of emotion even the display of volcanic temper.
In a Sanctuary within, we can Express how we really feel. Reed/BEN is teaching us to turn to a Sanctuary for everything.

Cherokee, Heron/GUWI’SGUWI: Sign of movement, of perpetual motion, recycling, regeneration; environmentalists fighting for the underdog. Heron is mentally alert, rational, yet opinionated; has a great faith in people and in the divine plan, holding the magic of ministry, medicine, marketing and matchmaking; healing abilities, especially with crystals; negotiation and mediation energy. Heron is symbolized by Deneb, located in the Northern Cross beside the Milky Way. “The Northern Cross is the Tree of Life, Beside the Milky Way River & Perched atop is Guwi’ sguwi, the Cherokee Heron Spirit Bird, comparable to the Egyptian Phoenix. One Myth has it that a Beautiful Young Maiden (the Heron Spirit Bird) fell from the Tree of Life in the Sky Vault, & Found no Place to Land on the Primordial Sea. Turtle came to the Surface of the Water & gave her a Place to Land. She nested & Laid her Cosmic Egg, From which came all Life on Earth.” (Cherokee Astrology: Animal, Medicine in the Stars, Raven Hall)
The Creator can create a place where there was no place before.
