SPACEWEATHER: Transit of Titan and Red Rainbows, 07/16/2024

Titan Transit – Photo by Philip Smith of Manorville, New York, 07-16-2024

SPACEWEATHER.COM NEWS: 07-17-2024

A RARE TRANSIT OF TITAN: This doesn’t happen very often. On July 16th, Philip Smith of Manorville, New York, watched a rare transit of Titan across the disk of Saturn.

“The time was 4:38 am EST,” says Smith. “It was very hot and uncomfortably muggy with some light clouds at times in the path of Saturn. I was not going to let that stop me from viewing this unusual event!”

Titan transits are rare because they can only be seen when Earth is crossing Saturn’s ring plane. This happens approximately once every 15 years. The latest ring crossing is beginning now and will continue into 2025. During that time, multiple rare transits will be observable by amateur astronomers around the world.

SYNCHRONICITY: “god” of the Winds
By Greek mythology, the (12) Titans came before the Olympian “gods” (ie. Family of Zeus). Astraeus was the youngest Titan.

ASTRAIOS (Astraeus) was the Titan god of stars and planets and of the art of astrology. By Eos (the Dawn) he was the father of the Stars and the four seasonal Winds. The arrival of these Winds was heralded by the rising of certain constellations. Astraios also had a daughter named Astraia (Astraea) who was the goddess of the constellation Virgo.  (Source: theoi.com)

Red rainbow,  Gustavo Meneses photographed from Madison, Wisconsin, on July 15th (2024)

RED RAINBOW: Rainbows are normally red, yellow, green and blue–in short, all the colors of a rainbow. But the rainbow Gustavo Meneses photographed from Madison, Wisconsin, on July 15th was simply red.

“A thunderstorm with extensive bolts of lightning rolled in at sunset,” says Meneses. “When it cleared up, this red rainbow appeared on the opposite side of Lake Mendotab.”

What made the rainbow red? It was the only color available. All of the other colors of the rainbow had been scattered away by air molecules and dust particles in front of the low-hanging sun.

faint secondary rainbow is also visible in Meneses’ photo. While the bright primary ‘bow is caused by light reflected once inside raindrops, the second ‘bow is caused by light reflected twice. That makes this a double red rainbow.

SYNCHRONICITIES MULTIPLIED:

That explanation was “Greek” to me. I found an explanation I could understand that revealed more about the wavelength of colors. There’s a limit to the colors the Human eye can see, but at some nano level they are seen by the “mind’s eye.”

LIGHT IN THE AIR
Perfectly reflected light appears white because it still contains all of the same colors. However, gas molecules are smaller than the wavelength of visible light. When light hits a gas molecule, some of it may get absorbed. After awhile, the molecule radiates (releases, or gives off) the light in a different direction. All of the colors can be absorbed, but the higher frequencies (blues) are absorbed more often than the lower frequencies (reds). This process is called Rayleigh scattering.

WHY IS THE SKY BLUE?
T he blue color of the sky is due to Rayleigh scattering. As light moves through the atmosphere, little of the red, orange and yellow light is affected by the air. However, much of the shorter wavelength light is absorbed by the gas molecules then radiated in different directions. It gets scattered all around the sky. Whichever direction you look, some of this scattered blue light reaches you. Since you see the blue light from everywhere overhead, the sky looks blue.

WHY IS THE SUNSET RED?
As the sun begins to set, the light must travel farther through the atmosphere before it gets to you. More of the light is reflected and scattered. As less reaches you directly, the sun appears less bright. The color of the sun itself appears to change, first to orange and then to red. This is because even more of the short wavelength blues and greens are now scattered. Only the longer wavelengths are left in the direct beam that reaches your eyes.

(Source: UC.edu, from Class Textbook, “Oh! So, THAT’s why the Sky is Blue!)

Red is the easiest color for the Human eye to see without a lot of “nano-adjustments” to focus on all the colors. Red is the color of light used for dark rooms and astronomy dark sites, to keep the eyes dialated in the dark. So, it has to do with a longer wavelength that allows more time to see it?

Wavelengths of the Colors: Nanometer and Tetra Hz Frequencies

The wavelengths of visible light are:
Violet: 380–450 nm (688–789 THz frequency)
Blue: 450–495 nm.
Green: 495–570 nm.
Yellow: 570–590 nm.
Orange: 590–620 nm.
Red: 620–750 nm (400–484 THz frequency)

(Google: Color Frequencies)

I wasn’t expecting to find that the color frequencies graduate in order of the 7 Chakra colors. Our mind’s eye vibrates at the highest frequencies. This also adds some insight for the Pantone color scale. I’ve always wondered how someone picks the “color of the year.” Maybe it’s a progression. They could also alternate through a contrasting color up or down the scale. (If you know, let me know. Maybe we could figure it out, looking at the colors in order of years.)

We are attracted to colors in a Divine Order by what’s easiest for us to see. RED is the color that calls our attention to the light. Light directly from above is White, the next easiest colors to see are the Sun’s colors (red, orange, yellow).

If I ever see a red rainbow, I’d clearly call it a Sign of something. 🙂

THE TRECENA OF WIND/IK: TRUTH OF THE CREATOR’S WORD

5 Transformer/CIMI (Cherokee, Twins/TAKATO’KA) – Day 5 of 13 of the 1 Wind/IK trecena

Descriptions by Ian Xel Lungold (12 Sun/AHAU), wisdom and Tzolk’in calculator preserved on MayanMajix.com

Galactic Tone 5: Empowerment. At the center of the cube we find Five. Five is an intelligent, organizing force which manages communications and materials, knowledge and application. Fives are natural net workers who gather what is needed. These persons can probe directly to the core of any situation making them excellent investigators.

Transformer/CIMI: Cycle of life, death, and rebirth. Transformer persons achieve goals and emotional wealth. Transformer people can become highly respected business persons. They have the ability to help others through any and all transitions with tranquility due to their spiritual strength and guidance. Communities often benefit from Transformers discipline and organization skills. They strengthen the life of pregnant women and guide them through the transitions of maternity. Establishing contact with the ancestors activates innate psychic abilities, gifts to be used as tools to assist others. Transformers can have the ability to send evil intentions telepathically, this is their undoing. From these acts they lose power, easily fall into a victim role and begin to manipulate with a vengeance. A good day to tie all loose ends.

A GOOD DAY TO: Tie all loose ends.

Cherokee, Twins/ TAKATO’KA: Twins symbolize the Female Sun and Male Moon, whose union keeps the world going round. Cherokee myth has the Morning Star heralding the Sun, Venus, also being the Evening Star as representing the TWINS. The energy brings major changes all throughout life, riding the tsunamis of earthquake and upheaval, making their own waves wherever they go. They undergo powerful transformations, alternating like a flashing neon sign. The challenge is to master Balance while experiencing Chaos leading to re-birth and abundance through infinity.

[Text in italics was the primary source of inspiration for my journal. These are the sources that started my journey and they are the reference for interpretation each day. By providing the original text, I hope to offer a way to see what inspired my thoughts and by including all the aspects – allow for something more to inspire you. Mayan descriptions are those written by Ian Lungold. Cherokee descriptions came from multiple sources.
