SPACEWEATHER.COM NEWS: 09/25/2024
BRIGHT MORNING COMET: Set your alarm for dawn. There’s a bright comet in the morning sky. “The celestial wonder C/2023 A3 (Comet Tsuchinshan–ATLAS) is gracing the sunrise of the Northern Hemisphere!” says Alireza Vafa, who sends this picture from the Alborz Mountains of Iran:
“Mount Damavand—the highest peak in the Middle East—provided the perfect backdrop for this cosmic event,” he says. “As the clock ticked down to just 40 minutes before sunrise, the comet revealed itself, shining brilliantly with a magnitude brighter than +3. Its brilliance was somewhat subdued against the illuminated dawn sky, but this is merely the beginning of a dazzling display in the days to come.”
He’s right. The view is about to improve. Every day this week, the comet will climb higher in the morning sky, reaching a peak between Sept. 26th and 29th. For some observers, the comet will be as high as 16 degrees above the horizon. This chart prepared by Nick James of the British Astronomical Association shows how the comet’s height above the horizon depends on latitude. Note that it is visible in both hemispheres.
On Sept. 27th, the comet will pass by the sun near the orbit of Mercury where it will receive a brightening dose of solar heat. Then it will proceed toward Earth for a close encounter (0.47 AU) on Oct. 12th. Around that time, the comet might be bright enough to see in broad daylight. Stay tuned!
CRACKS IN EARTH’S MAGNETIC FIELD: How do you know it’s autumn? Cracks are opening in Earth’s magnetic field. Researchers call it the “Russell-McPherron effect.” Solar wind flows through the gaps to fuel geomagnetic storms even without a CME impact. Spectacular auroras over Norway this morning were caused by magnetic cracks opening during the early hours of Sept. 25th.
Near Earth Object (NEO), “Mini Moon”
There have been numerous headlines about a new “mini moon” that will be captured in Earth’s orbit and orbit it for 56 days, from September 29 to November 25, 2024. NASA defines it as a Near Earth Object (NEO).
The small asteroid was discovered on Aug. 7 by the Asteroid Terrestrial-impact Last Alert System (ATLAS), a NASA-funded program. Now named asteroid 2024 PT5, it will be captured in Earth’s gravitational pull between Sept. 29 and Nov. 25. After that, it will escape Earth’s orbit and be pulled toward the sun before continuing its travels around our solar system. (Source: USA Today)
Don’t expect to see it without a large telescope. Compared to Earth’s moon, which has a diameter of 2,159 miles, asteroid 2024 PT5 is just a tiny spec measuring at about 33 feet wide. That’s about the width of a city bus. The NASA JPL Small-Body Database states that 2024 PT5 won’t be visible to most amateur telescopes due to its extremely low absolute magnitude of 22, which is too dim even for backyard binoculars or telescopes.
While there will be much to learn from this, I get the feeling that “mini moon” makes a better headline than a NEO object the size of a city bus. It’s been hard to find much information from NASA or other major astronomical sources. If you search for information you’re more likely to find reliable information from keywords “near earth object 2024 PT5.” Statistical data is offered by NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory website Small-Body Database.
Today’s Sun: 09/25/2024: Sunspot AR3836 has a ‘beta-gamma’ magnetic field that harbors energy for M-class solar flares.
The possibility of Auroras from an M-class solar flare are likely to produce brighter lights in the sky than the “mini-moon” due to the crack in Earth’s magnetosphere. An M-Class flare could create a G3-Class CME under current conditions, which are more likely from an X-Class flare.
Mayan Time
10 Wisdom/CIB represents the Human mind in its highest state of consciousness. Tone 10 is the Intention of Manifestation of the Truth of a new reality. CIB shares the wisdom to think for our self, applying our own discernment to the Truth. Its “key to the kingdom” is Forgiveness. We are double-minded by personal bias when we hold resentments. That’s when we choose the Truth that serves our Ego. Today is Time Ordered to see and claim Our Own Truth that creates our own reality. (Don’t take anyone else’s word as the Truth. Seek the Truth from the Highest One. Ask then look to see and listen to hear. The Truth always speaks for itself and doesn’t leave any lingering questions.)
Maybe the “mini-moon” is a Sign of something we didn’t see coming or going.
THE TRECENA OF DEER/MANIK: A DEDICATED MISSION OF LOVE

THE TRECENA OF DEER/MANIK: THE SERVICE OF LOVE
The Highlights, Peak Energies, and Times of Synchronicity for this trecena are included on the 13-Day Trecena Guide.
The “Tzolk’in Field Guide” is my gift to download that includes the Count of Days with the aspects for each Destiny Kin and highlights for a personal practice with each trecena. It’s designed as a companion for daily practice.
Visit the 13-Day Trecena Guide. to download a free copy. Volume 1 covers the first two seasons of the Tzolk’in, and Volume 2 covers the 3rd and 4th to the end of the Tzolk’in round.
The Deer/MANIK trecena is the 3rd trecena in the 1st Season, Volume 1. The guide includes the overview for each trecena and the aspects for every day, so you can discern the Meaning of Time as it applies to your own Time and Place. It’s interesting to calculate the major dates in your life. You might discover they happened on the same Tzolk’in date. The calendar is written within. The Order is what we are naturally inclined to do. When you keep a daily journal to track your thoughts, you’ll see history repeat itself when the same matters are on your mind on the same day of every Tzolk’in round, only on a higher scale. One time around I overcame a fear of driving through Seattle rush-hour traffic. The next time, I was overcoming my fear to make a solo pilgrimage to the Mayan ruins of Ek’ Balam.

10 Wisdom/CIB (Cherokee, Owl U’GUKU’) – Day 10 of 13 of the 1 Deer/MANIK trecena
Descriptions by Ian Xel Lungold (12 Sun/AHAU), wisdom and Tzolk’in calculator preserved on MayanMajix.com
Galactic Tone 10: Manifestation. What were once intentions or ideas, hopes or fears become physically present with the energy of Ten. What is focused upon with attention and intention becomes real with Ten. Ten is a powerful energy that carries a great responsibility.
Wisdom/CIB: The old ones. Wisdom of the ancients. Wisdom persons are aligned with the ancient memories that wait in the stone of temples and sacred sites all over the world. Wisdom people grow luck like a crop using a balance of prudence and tenacity. The tremendous inner strength of this sign enables silent introspection to discover areas of oneself that contain wisdom more valuable than any trove of archaeological treasure. Wisdom persons are valiant defenders of family and community. They may become hardened to life and sentiment turned cold. In these cases, they need much forgiveness for their uncaring errors. Periodically connecting with nature and or visiting sacred sites will bring great stability to wisdom persons.
A GOOD DAY TO: Sit on a rock.
Cherokee, Owl U’GUKU’ : Symbol is the Owl is Arcturus, the brightest Star in the Constellation Bootes. The Cherokee Bear constellation (Ursa Major) includes the Big Dipper plus four stars in Bootes. Owl is a hunter, who stands for the wisdom and ability of all great hunters, the cunning of a fox, the tenacity of a bulldog and strength of a bear. Energy for deep thinkers, strong-willed, rigid convictions, bold and authoritative. Owl is the Mystic Ferryman who guides Earthlings on the return path to the stars holding the torch aloft.

No surprise we have cracks in the earth’s magnetosphere, Debra. After all the crap corporate entities have put into our air and stratosphere. Ugh
It’s actually far far away from earth’s atmosphere. Though, I wholly agree with your sentiment re. space trash. It happens when the sun crosses the center of our alignment at the Fall Equinox. So, the good news is it’s a “God thing.” Interesting that it happens when the “King is in the Field.” Energy has been a roller coaster lately. much love, in lak’ech, Debra
Ah, I hear you, Debra. Yes, so many layers to consider. I think I was thinking of the Ozone.
Oh, and I was thinking of HAARP.
