Multiple X-Class and M-Class Solar Flares

STRONG SOLAR ACTIVITY RESUMES: The quiet has broken. During the past 24 hours, sunspot 3936 has produced two X-class solar flares (X1.1 and X1.5) and a score of lesser M-flares. This morning’s X1.5-class eruption (0414 UTC) was so strong it triggered a secondary blast in sunspot 3932 more than 200,000 km away:
This is actually a double X-flare. Both explosions pictured above crossed the X1 threshold. Extreme ultraviolet radiation from the flares ionized the top of Earth’s atmosphere, causing a shortwave radio blackout approximately centered on Australia. Ham radio operators in the area may have lost signal below 20 MHz for as much as an hour.
We don’t yet know if these flares hurled CMEs into space. Stay tuned for updates later today when SOHO coronagraph images reach Earth.
UPDATE: NASA MODEL FORECAST CME
GEOMAGNETIC STORM WATCH: Moderate (G2) to strong (G3) geomagnetic storms are possible on Dec. 31st when a CME is expected to hit Earth’s magnetic field. The CME was hurled into space yesterday by the eruption of a magnetic filament connected to sunspot 3939. If a strong storm materializes, Northern Lights could descend to mid-latitudes in the USA and Europe.

NOTE: Circled Sunspot 3936 triggered the explosion from Sunspot 3932. Multiple sunspots are positioned in the “danger zone” where the Parker Effect of Sun’s rotation directs CME’s toward Earth (3936, 3932, 3933 and 3928).

CORE DAYS: The 7th Uinal of the Tzolk’in represent the center column of 20-days, which carry the Intention of Balancing. In the Center we are returned to Unity with the whole as our sense of duality comes into balance. The Maya believed this to be the axis mundi – the center of the world that connects Heaven and Earth, where the four directions meet; where communication from lower realms may ascend to higher ones and blessings from higher realms may descend to lower ones and be disseminated to all. The Core Days may be experienced as a time of personal mystery as we recreate ourselves in the image of the Highest One.

Galactic Tone 2: Mysterious as the question ‘to be or not to be?” Two is the recognition of the separation of self from all else and the desire to be rejoined. Walking a balance while making choices of all kinds, light/dark, male/female, good/bad, Yin/Yang, is the energy of this number. Experiencing the differences between one and another is the use and purpose of this number.
Road/EB: The bearer of time and conductor of destiny; also known as Human; these persons open the road and guide to the future groups, communities and individuals alike. Likable, obedient, dedicated hard workers and organizers, Road persons are fortunate in business and travel. Road is sometimes referred to as the sign of grass, which is the most bountiful of all life forms, but is also the most humble. Road persons are affectionate and emphatic; they are easily hurt but slow to anger. Holding in of negative emotions and unexpressed resentment can lead to illness, a poisoned opinion of others and a false bravado for this sun sign.
