SPACEWEATHER: Venus Approaches Inferior Conjunction

Venus Sprints from Evening to Morning Star

SPACEWEATHER.COM NEWS: 03/20/2025

VENUS APPROACHES INFERIOR CONJUNCTION: This weekend (March 23rd), Venus will pass between Earth and the sun–an event astronomers call “inferior conjunction.” It’s a special time to observe the second planet, because around inferior conjunction the disk of Venus turns into an otherworldly crescent. Maximilian-Vlad Teodorescu photographed it today from the Institute of Space Science in Romania:

“This was one of the hardest imaging sessions yet, as rolling clouds, strong winds and poor seeing combined with Venus’ proximity to the sun to complicate photography,”says Teodorescu. “It was worth the effort to capture Venus as a very thin crescent.”

Teodorescu has been monitoring the transformation of Venus as it approaches inferior conjunction. The bottom panel shows a selection of his photos since January. He plans to add one final crescent: “I will attempt to image on the day of conjunction as well,” he says. Stay tuned!

HAPPY SPRING EQUINOX: March 20, 2025

AURORAS LOVE EQUINOXES: Today is the first day of northern spring. That’s good news for sky watchers because auroras love equinoxes. Researchers call it the “Russell-McPherron effect.” At this time of year, cracks form in Earth’s magnetic field. Even a weak stream of solar wind can penetrate to spark a good display. Happy Spring!

Venus has been an evening beacon in early 2025, but that’s about to change as the planet heads towards inferior conjunction on 23 March, the position in its orbit closest to Earth.

Thereafter, it will begin to emerge as a morning object in the sky.

The Meaning and Synchronicity of Time

New Cycle:
Venus’s inferior conjunction can be seen as the start of a new cycle, similar to the energy of a New Moon, representing renewal and fresh beginnings in relationships, values, and finances.

Venus Retrograde:
Venus stations retrograde on March 1st, 2025, and will conclude on April 12th, 2025. Retrograde motions is a Resolution on behalf of the future. Venus retrograde signals a time of reorientation, reflecting on values and connections, engaging with creativity and renewing our relationship to the world. (The 11th uinal of the Tzolk’in round is a cycle of Resolution.)

Venus in Aries:
Venus will begin its retrograde journey in the sign of fiery Aries, and conclude in watery, mystical Pisces. Aries is the Beginning of the astrological cycle. Venus retrograde is a Resolution of Self-Identity, an Intention stand in integrity with our self and to love who we are, as we are.

Venus is emerging into the Light and in the Northern Hemisphere, the Spring Equinox also moves us from the Darkness of Winter into the Light and Warmth of Spring.

It’s the Season of New Beginnings, and the Seeds of new Intentions we can sow to reap an Abundant Harvest. It’s a Time for self-reflection. Whatever we plant in our thoughts will multiply. Choose Good Luck and plant by the Light of Love. Intentions aligned in Divine Trinity are the Seeds Destined to Grow and Multiply Life, Love, and Happiness. Knowing Thyself is the 1st priority to define what Love we have to share with the whole.

The 13-day trecena led by Offering/MULUC is Time ordered for a Healing of our Emotions, and Time for honoring our Feelings. MULUC is the symbol of the “Christ Spirit” – a Power to Heal on a Mass Scale. (So is Venus a symbol of the Scion in the Mayan tradition, as the 2nd brightest Star to the Sun.)  Both signs fall in synchronicity with a Season of Resurrection.

Galactic Tone 4: Stability; the cube is most stable of all forms and establishes volume by definition of height, length, depth and breadth; 4 directions establish orientation. The energy of 4 sets the parameters, which establish the freedoms and barriers needed to create a game, work, or relationship.

Road/EB: The bearer of time and conductor of destiny; also known as Human; these persons open the road and guide to the future groups, communities and individuals alike. Likable, obedient, dedicated hard workers and organizers, Road persons are fortunate in business and travel. Many become caretakers of the poor, sick, or old people, where they may make personal sacrifices. Road is sometimes referred to as the sign of grass, which is the most bountiful of all life forms, but is also the most humble. Road persons are affectionate and emphatic; they are easily hurt but slow to anger. Holding in of negative emotions and unexpressed resentment can lead to illness, a poisoned opinion of others and a false bravado for this sun sign.

A GOOD DAY TO: Do some community service.

Cherokee, Rattlesnake Tooth/KANU’GA: Symbol is Rainbow, a delicate display of electromagnetic rays of the SUN. The Natal day sign of Medicine, the Shaman, the Priest, the Healer, and the Sorcerer; Guardian of the Way, Keeper of the Keys of the secret Kingdom. Rattlesnake Tooth in the Sky is the Rainbow. It is a brilliant display of the Sun ray’s in seven colors, violet, indigo, blue, green, yellow, orange, and red. Day and Night, Sun and Moon, Physical and Spiritual join in a glorious display of the Heavens. To project this image requires water and Light, the great healer of all life.
