Fledge Watch
You can clearly recognize different faces, especially by the curl on Gizmo’s lip, like Mother. Surely Jackie and Shadow recognize them. Maybe their face is the symbol of their name and identity.
They See You Too: Birdwatching with Respect
Time, slow down! Fledge Watch is fast approaching: on May 13th Sunny will be 10 weeks old. Since the typical fledge window for eaglets is between 10 and 14 weeks of age, we may have to wait for the big day a bit longer. (FOBBV Eagle Cam YouTube) This post “shares some tips and advice on Respectful and Ethical Birding Practices.”
FOBBV reports Gizmo as 4 days younger than Sunny. They are the Last and the First of 3 eggs. There were 3 days of mourning at the loss of eaglet #2. The Fledge Watch is officially on.

Sonny is the star gazer and little brother Gizmo gazes at Sonny.
Happy Mother’s Day to Jackie,
Jackie has been consecrated into Motherhood by Gizmo and Sonny. Today, Sonny hit her full on. She merely turned her head to watch most of the shot roll off waterproof feathers on her back. FOBBV has explained that the eaglets are marking her as their territory. (Shadow carries on in his spotless tuxedo.)
Gizmo knows his best friend is about to take off. There is brotherly love between them. Maybe Sonny will wait and Gizmo will take off early.
Happy Mother’s Day all the Mothers who can’t wait for the Day, and then after, wish they could do it all again.
love, Debra
PS. Dad spent the night in the nest with the kids last night. That’s usually Mother’s job.
There’s never a dull moment. The prevailing question is WHEN.
The Great Invocation:
“From the point of Light within the mind of God,
let light stream forth into the minds of men.
Let Light descend on Earth.
From the point of Love within the Heart of God,
let love stream forth into the hearts of men.
May Jesus Christ return to Earth.
From the Centre where the Will of God is known,
let purpose guide the little wills of men –
The purpose which the Masters know and serve.
From the Centre which we call the race of men,
let the Plan of Love and Light workout,
and may it seal the door where evil dwells.
Let Light and Love and Power restore the Plan on Earth.”
In the Name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, forever without end. AMEN.
“In Illo uno unum,” ~ “In the One, we are One.”
Mayan Calendar Time
The Seed/KAN symbolizes the Wisdom of Light and Truth written in the Seed of our Life. The Maya honored the Seed of corn that shares Human’s 260-day cycle, and the Seed that leads to the Abundant Harvest. It’s Time to prepare to receive the Light of the Holy Spirit.
Tomorrow, May 12, 2025, is 5 Serpent/CHICCHAN, the symbol of the Power of the Holy Spirit that animates the new Seed of our Life, through a Quickening of Spirit, and “Lightning in the Blood.” Our Spiritual Gifts are awakened by the Sixth Sense of the Heart. 5 is the symbol of Empowerment that facilitates a Major Life Change.

4 Seed/KAN (Cherokee, Dragon/UKTE’NA) – Day 4 of 13, 1 Crocodile/IMIX trecena
Descriptions by Ian Xel Lungold (12 Sun/AHAU), wisdom and Tzolk’in calculator preserved on MayanMajix.com
Galactic Tone 4: Stability; the cube is most stable of all forms and establishes volume by definition of height, length, depth and breadth; 4 directions establish orientation. The energy of 4 sets the parameters, which establish the freedoms and barriers needed to create a game, work, or relationship.
Seed/KAN: Family, sexual activity and the magic of germination are the characteristics of this sun sign. Natural net workers, Seed people strive to free themselves and others from debt or oppressive patterns of the past. Abundance is gathered by Seeds as if with a cast net. Seed persons are public defenders who work toward uniting community by discovering hidden traps and secret influences of others. To generate true abundance, Seed must learn to appreciate all gifts and lessons received and conduct profound investigations into its self. In the absence of gratefulness and the courage to face oneself, Seed finds itself in less than less fertile environments.
A GOOD DAY TO: Plant, make new contacts, reconnect with others.
Cherokee, Dragon/UKTE’NA: Fertility and pro-creation from generation to generation. The word dragon means ”eye, to look at, to see clearly”. In China ley lines are called “dragon lines”; orgone energy, pyramid power, or magnetic force. Pyramids and kivas are collector portals for this energy, known as vortexes. Dragon energy beats a path everywhere, stirring things up with a big stick in tune with the beat of the drum, heartbeat of the Earth.

Happy Mother’s Day, Debra! Beautiful eagles.
Their loving ways grab my heart through their expression of brotherly love. Jackie looks like a mother who’s given her all, and carries on in dignity. Happy Mother’s Day back to you. love, Debra
