SPACEWEATHER: CME Headed to Mars and Auroras on Jupiter

Stormy Weather in Space

SPACEWEATHER.COM NEWS: 05/15/2025

AURORA WARNING ISSUED FOR MARS: Yesterday’s X2.7-class solar flare hurled a CME into space. It won’t hit Earth, but it will hit Mars. According to NASA model (above), the CME will reach the Red Planet on May 18th. The impact could spark global auroras and erode a small amount of the planet’s carbon dioxide atmosphere.

FIZZY TRI-HYDROGEN AURORAS ON JUPITER: NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope has discovered a new type of aurora fizzing and popping on Jupiter. Unlike auroras on Earth, which come from oxygen and nitrogen, Jupiter’s arise from a completely different compound: Ionized trihydrogen (H3+).

“We expected Jupiter’s auroras to fade in and out ponderously, perhaps over a quarter of an hour or so,” says astronomer Jonathan Nichols (University of Leicester, who led the observing team. “Instead, we observed the whole auroral region fizzing and popping with light, sometimes varying by the second.”

Trihydrogen auroras have been seen before, especially on Neptune, but these auroras on Jupiter are changing faster than models predict. “The overall temporal variation of Jupiter’s emission is not well understood,” says Nichols and his team in a paper just published in Nature Communications.

Jupiter’s auroras also feature “extinction events.” Bright regions in the auroral zone can suddenly go dark in a matter of seconds. This graphic from their paper (Figure 3) highlights one such event:

Figure 3

“The radiance at this location increased steadily for the several minutes [before it] dropped precipitously, reducing in brightness by around 40%,” say the researchers.

Why are these auroras so dynamic? The answer could lie on one of Jupiter’s moon. Io is an intense source of volcanic activity, and its eruptions pepper Jupiter’s upper atmosphere with energetic particles. These particles, in turn, react with molecular hydrogen (H2) normally present in Jupiter’s atmosphere to produce some of the trihydrogen (H3+) required for auroras. No other planet in the solar system has a volcanic moon like Io; perhaps that explains why Jupiter’s auroras are so variable.

Mayan Calendar Time

8 Star/LAMAT is the Day sign of the Scion, exalted in the Zenith Hour of Light. To become the living personification of the Creator’s Light, we’re called to shine our light equally in all directions. Venus shines in the Darkness and the Light. LAMAT is the Day of “pure luck” when whatever we hold as the object of our affection will be multiplied to abundance. Good luck or bad luck depends on the thoughts that take up free rent in our mind. It’s a Day to make the Lord the highest object of our affection. By the Power of the Holy Spirit, we can when we set the Intention, when we forget, we’ll remember. 8 is the symbol of Justice – as we sew, so shall we reap.

The high tides of the Full Moon can stir up our emotions. Solar radiation storms may double the impact. The Full Moon in Scorpio can be a transformative event (chaos), potentially bringing sudden twists of fate and major personal changes. The full moon in Scorpio is also believed to be a time for healing, shedding old patterns, and embracing deep inner change. The effects of the Full Moon can carry on through the last quarter, May 20, 2025, and the forecasted Solar storms may be a double-dose of healing energy. Have you been feeling on edge? Claim it’s a double-dose of Divine Medicine and Solar Radiation therapy. God will provide for those that love him.

James 1:2-4 NIV
Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

1 John 4:16 NIV
16 And so we know and rely on the love God has for us.
God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.

The Sun is dealing a blow to Mars, the planet of war. Jupiter is the planet of luck. An “extinction event” may be a sign of luck that’s reached its end for those who refuse to change their ways.

Numbers 6:24-26 – By the Power of the Holy Spirit

24 “The Lord bless you
and keep you;
25 the Lord make his face shine on you
and be gracious to you;
26 the Lord turn his face toward you
and give you peace.”

The eaglets at Big Bear Lake are a comfort to one another on the threshold of their major change. The fledge watch is officially on any day now. Gizmo has been working hard to get up to speed with his big brother Sunny. (They’ve been a little testy at mealtime.)

8 Star/LAMAT, Cherokee Rabbit/NOQUI’SEGWA – Day 8 of 13, 1 Crocodile/IMIX trecena

Descriptions by Ian Xel Lungold (12 Sun/AHAU), wisdom and Tzolk’in calculator preserved on MayanMajix.com

Galactic Tone 8: Justice. Harmony and balance are the intent of Eight. Eights carefully weigh all evidence to reach a balance of justice. Eight is the power of organization demonstrated in the statement, “As above, so below.” From simplicity to infinity, the energy of Eight organizes all levels of creation. Some Eights are “Neat Freaks”.

Star/LAMAT: Star energy is multiplication of all things to abundance. Star has been associated with the fertility of rabbits for its ability to multiply. As each sun in the sky, Star persons shine equally in all directions. This natural tendency of harmony and balance can become compulsion, motivating Star to be too agreeable and too generous, rejected gifts cause fear and resentment. When a Star believes it has been given too much, they are weakened or may even collapse. In this “Black Hole” state, Stars are prone to verbal jousting and arguing to force their point of view on everyone.

A GOOD DAY TO: Ask for Abundance for all Relations.

Cherokee, Rabbit/NOQUI’SEGWA: Symbol-Venus, The Morning Star cycle of 260 days and Evening Star cycle of another 260 days, inspired the 13 numbers, 20 Day sign Sacred Calendar. Rabbit is the Trickster of Cherokee culture, matching the Coyote in other nations. The personification of Light and New Life, Sunrise, the scion (a first-generation descendant) of the Moon-Father of earth children, the Rabbit is fertility, be fruitful and multiply. Represents softness, gentleness and vulnerability. LAMAT– Totem Rabbit. Energies of re-birth, regeneration, ripening, harvest and abundance. This person is overflowing with love energy in all areas of life. Spiritual growth is natural and with ease due to the unconditional love energy that flows.
