A BIG HOLE IN THE SUN’S ATMOSPHERE: Minor G1-class geomagnetic storms are possible for the next 3 days (May 19-21) as Earth passes through a wide stream of high-speed solar wind. The gaseous material is flowing from a hole in the sun’s atmosphere, which stretches across most of the sun’s southern hemisphere. The million-kilometer-wide structure is shown in this extreme ultraviolet image from NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory:
This is a “coronal hole”–a region in the sun’s atmosphere where magnetic fields have opened up, allowing solar wind to escape. Coronal holes look dark because hot glowing gas normally contained there is missing. In this case, it is en route to Earth.
We’ve seen this coronal hole before–approximately every 28 days since February. Here it is in March, and again in April. It has been spinning around with the sun, emitting a stream of material akin to a giant lawn sprinkler. The stream encounter was particularly effective in March when it sparked auroras across many northern-tier US states.
More Solar Light is on the way from a large coronal hole and Sunspot 4087 with a ‘beta-gamma-delta’ magnetic field that poses a continued threat for X-class solar flares as it continues to move across the face of the Sun into Earth-directed territory.

Galactic Tone 12: Understanding. This number’s energy is a gift of great capability, of retrospection. It is this ability that allows Twelve to connect disassociated parts into a (new) functioning whole. The energy of Twelve is that which presents a new piece of understood information or accumulated experience to be applied.
Road/EB: The bearer of time and conductor of destiny; also known as Human; these persons open the road and guide to the future groups, communities and individuals alike. Likable, obedient, dedicated hard workers and organizers, Road persons are fortunate in business and travel. Many become care takers of the poor, sick, or old people, where they may make personal sacrifices. Road is sometimes referred to as the sign of grass, which is the most bountiful of all life forms, but is also the most humble. Road persons are affectionate and emphatic; they are easily hurt but slow to anger. Holding in of negative emotions and unexpressed resentment can lead to illness, a poisoned opinion of others and a false bravado for this sun sign.
