Nitrogen Ruled: The Purple Color of N2+

PURPLE NITROGEN AURORAS: Earth’s atmosphere is mostly nitrogen (78%), yet auroras are seldom the color of this omnipresent molecule. Usually, oxygen paints the Northern Lights with its colors–red and green. Yet during this week’s geomagnetic storm, nitrogen ruled. The purple color of N2+ is everywhere in this Sept. 2nd photo from the Haukadalur hot springs in Iceland:
“The aurora display on the morning of Sept. 2nd lasted for more than 90 mintes says photographer Dieter M. Zube. “Especially the nitrogen colours came through nicely.”
Similar and even more intense displays of purple were seen in Scotland, New Zealand, the UK, Quebec, Lake Superior, Ontario, and the flight deck of a Dreamliner.
What happened? We don’t know. Conventional wisdom holds that nitrogen auroras appear during intense geomagnetic storms. Yet the storm on Sept 1-2, 2025, was hardly intense. It peaked at category G2, which is only moderate. Nevertheless, something in the mix of energetic protons and electrons raining down on Earth’s atmosphere activated ionized molecular nitrogen and caused it to brightly glow. Consider it a beautiful mystery.

THE STORM IS SUBSIDING: The Labor Day geomagnetic storm is subsiding as Earth exits the wake of a CME that struck Earth on Sept. 1st. Minor G1-class storms remain possible on Sept. 3rd as reverberations from the CME’s impact gradually decay.

Mayan Calendar Time and Synchronicity
Storm/CAUAC represents the Lightning energy of the Storm that turns molecules of Air into “Living Water.” CAUAC represents the renewal and regeneration of a Storm. The Nitrogen of the Storm is the building block for life.
Nitrogen is a fundamental building block of life because it is an essential component of amino acids, which form proteins, and nucleic acids (DNA and RNA), which carry genetic information. It is also a key part of chlorophyll, essential for plant growth. (Google: Nitrogen building block for life)
CAUAC represents a Power Above that offers renewal and regeneration. Storms may break the weak branches of our Tree of Life, but what is left behind grows stronger. On Storm/CAUAC we “see the light” that we’re still standing, and the only explanation is an Act of God.
Tone 2 poses the question – to be or not to be. The survivors of a Storm know there’s a reason they were spared is a Miracle that proves there must be a Divine Reason for it.
Just as God’s eye is on the sparrow, his eye was on us and God declared the Divine meaning and purpose is shall be revealed. Storms call us home to a Sanctuary within, when only God could save us. Our Heart is bound to the Highest One who saved us. What the world hoped would destroy us, was turned to our highest good by the Author of our Creation.
CAUAC represents the “lightning in the blood” that runs through us when God claimed us as his own. The trecena of Flint/ETZNAB shares unexpected Truth that strikes like a thunderbolt, exactly when we needed to know.

Galactic Tone 2: Mysterious as the question ‘to be or not to be?” Two is the recognition of the separation of self from all else and the desire to be rejoined. Walking a balance while making choices of all kinds, light/dark, male/female, good/bad, Yin/Yang, is the energy of this number. Experiencing the differences between one and another is the use and purpose of this number.
Storm/Cauac: Day of the blessing of rain, giver of all life and lightening, a gift of nitrogen to Mother Earth and ozone to Father Sky. Cauac is also associated with the moon and the cycles of the moon, which are the meter of the feminine aspect of creation. The essence of Storm is the feeling of unity, security and warmth experienced in the home while the tempest of trouble rages in the world outside. Perpetually youthful, Storms exist to experience the ecstasy of freedom. They have the great capacity to both learn and teach. Their constant quest for novel experiences often leads to difficult tests and storms of emotion. Looking at these difficulties for the lessons they indeed are, will enrich our lives rather than destroy. Cauac individuals teach much through their electricity of being. Cherokee, Redbird/TOTSU’HWA: Lightning is the visible evidence of the presence of Redbird Spirit in the Sky, daughter of the Sun Spirit, sign of Fire, Sun’s alter ego on Earth. Lightning adds spiritual force to the human by way of “lightning of the blood” of a healer, directly body to body vibration. The key to spiritual communication and access to the wisdom of the Ancestors lies in the ability to bestir the blood to speak. Sacred stones such as flint, obsidian, crystal are created by lightning striking the ground.

Scarlet tanager, Piranga olivacea, “Chac yuyum” in Yucatec Maya (formally classified in the tanager family Thraupidae, now within the genus of the Cardinal family Cardinalidae). Scarlet tanager’s plumage and vocalization are similar to the cardinal songbirds. Adults males plumage is bright scarlet red with black wings and tail, while scarlet females have yellowish underparts, olive tops, brown wings and tail. Juvenile scarlet birds show complex variegated plumage. They breed in May and stay until October foraging high in tree tops. Red is the easiest color for Human to see as a frequency that doesn’t require our eyes to make an adjustment to see it.
Purple Only Exists in our Imagination
There is something unique about the color purple: Our brain makes it up. So you might just call purple a pigment of our imagination. Purple is the discernment when the Human eye can’t perceive the difference between red and blue.
Purple is a color of Royalty. It is associated with the Crown Chakra.
