The Power of the Light
SPACEWEATHER.COM NEWS: 09/17/2025
SOLAR WIND IS TORMENTING THIS COMET: Comet SWAN (C/2025 R2) is experiencing the gale, too. “The comet’s tail is extremely active,” reports astronomer Gerald Rhemann, who recorded this much action in only 10 minutes on Sept. 16th:
“These changes are powered by the solar wind,” he says.
Indeed, the comet is feeling the full force of the solar wind as it glides through space not far from the orbit of Mercury. Every twist, filament and knot in its tail is propelled and sculted by the action of the sun.
A wider-field view of the comet captured by Michael Mattiazzo in Australia reveals an even more dramatic example. “Comet SWAN’s ion tail was showing a major disturbance last night,” he says. “There is a wild corkscrew more than 5 degrees long. It must be getting hit by a CME.”
Sometimes, CME impacts can completely disconnect a comet’s tail. It happened to Comet Encke in 2007. Comet SWAN could be next. Stay tuned.

EXITING THE SOLAR WIND STREAM: Solar wind speeds are still above 600 km/s (1.3 million mph), but the gale is starting to dissipate as Earth exits the high-speed stream that arrived on Sept. 14th. Geomagnetic storms are not likely today.

A Rare Sky Show in Leo: See Moon, Venus, and Regulus Close Together on September 19
A rare celestial meet-up is happening on September 19, 2025: the Moon, Venus, and Regulus will shine close together in the morning sky, with a lunar occultation of Venus visible from some regions.
What you’ll see in the sky
On September 19, the Moon, Venus (the brightest planet in the sky), and Regulus (the brightest star in the constellation Leo) will appear close together in the morning twilight. In some parts of the world, the Moon will even briefly hide Venus from view.

In the morning sky on September 19, the Moon, Venus, and Regulus will appear close together, forming a compact trio:
- The Moon will be a thin crescent, only 5% illuminated. Since it’s just three days before New Moon, its darkened side will likely be softly lit by earthshine, caused by sunlight reflecting off Earth, which appears almost fully-illuminated from the Moon’s point of view.
- Just next to it, the planet Venus will shine very brightly (mag -3.9), easily the most prominent object in the group.
- Slightly farther away, the bright star Regulus will appear as a relatively faint point (mag 1.4).
Mayan Calendar Time and Synchronicity
The trecena of Monkey/CHUEN is the Dawn of a New Creation of the world, under the Rule of the Lord of all Creation. CHUEN represents our Higher Self with the Consciousness of the Power of Creation. CHUEN’s intention is to express the Beauty of Love. Venus is the symbol of Beauty and Love, rising next to the Moon and Regulus.
Regulus is a multiple star system that serves as the brightest star in the Leo constellation, often called the “Heart of the Lion,” and can be easily identified at the base of the Sickle asterism. Its name, meaning “Little King,” reflects its prominent position and historical association with royalty.
September 19 completes the Core Days of Creation on 10 Sun/AHAU. Leo is the symbol of the Sun that manifests the Light of 2 who shine together as One. On September 19 we emerge from the cocoon of the Galactic Butterfly with the Wings to Fly.
In the Jewish month of Elul we celebrate a Time when “the King is in the field.” Our consciousness is raised to the presence of “God with us.” The month of Elul ends on September 22, 2025. The Day that follows the Solar Eclipse begins the celebration of Rosh Hashanah. A New Solar Year begins at sundown.
On Rosh Hashanah all things return to their origin.
Your soul, too, returns to its origin.
And from there you can start to rebuild your entire being.

It’s Time to prepare for an intention to cast darkness away for the Light that shines for the future. 3 Reed/BEN calls us to a Sanctuary to Dwell in the Light and to pray for the Salvation of our Brothers and Sisters as our brethren, born as children of the King of the Universe. Comets were seen as Signs of Spirit by the indigenous tribes. We are being pressed on all sides to carry out the Will of the Creator. God’s Light will shine through us to turn the world around.

3 Reed/BEN (Cherokee, Reed/I’HYA) – Day 3 of 13, the 1 Monkey/CHUEN trecena of Creation
CORE DAYS: The 7th Uinal of the Tzolk’in represent the center column of 20-days, which carry the Intention of Balancing. In the Center we are returned to Unity. Our discernment of duality comes into balance. The Maya believed this to be the axis mundi – the center of the world that connects Heaven and Earth, where the four directions meet; where communication from lower realms may ascend to higher ones and blessings from higher realms may descend to the lower realm and disseminated to all. The Core Days may be experienced as a time of personal mystery where the crystalline structure is formed with the wings to fly.
Descriptions by Ian Xel Lungold (12 Sun/AHAU), who’s wisdom and Tzolk’in date calculator is preserved on MayanMajix.com
Galactic Tone 3: Action. Three is basic movement and communication, which begins as a vibration. Three energy is very eloquent in all types of self-expression. Communication is how Three establishes a point of agreement between any point “A” and any point “B”. Three persons are rhythmic to the core and are often restless, as motion is their nature. By working closely with the energy of Three, any person becomes more able to predict motions of all kinds.
Reed/BEN: Reed persons are the spiritual essence, protectors and guiding light for family and home. They are competent speakers who will take up a cause. Very tough and analytical, Reeds endeavor to bring peace, harmony and order to all o their relations. Reeds are blessed with great skill at negotiations and consoling which are very often put to the test. Although Reeds need a lot of appreciation, may have marriage or business problems because of inflexible vies and high expectations, which erode affinity. The lesson for Reed is to be like a garden hose, not a steel pipe. Bless or repair your house.
A GOOD DAY TO: Bless and repair the home.
Cherokee, Reed/I’HYA: Symbol-Reed is the Earth, reflection of the Star Chaga of Pollux. Reed made up the Magician Twins who led the journey to bring back to life the daughter of the Sun. The Casket is Gemini. Energy for Intellectual minds, creation, re-creation, new directions, breaking the ties that bind. A trailblazer and leader. From the East, direction of success and happiness, no matter what route is taken, always ending up in the Light.
