Another side-trip off Route 66 is Colorado Springs, Colorado. It’s well worth the time to travel 350 miles North for the Garden of the Gods, 7 Falls, rushing waters, the smell of the pines, and other beautiful attractions from Mother Nature in the Rocky Mountains. I’m leading you the LONG way on Route 66, but that’s the best way to stop and smell the roses.
