GLOWING RED RING OVER ITALY: For a few milliseconds on Nov 17th, an enormous ring of red light appeared in the sky over central Italy. Valter Binotto photographed it from the small town of Possagno in the foothills of the Italian Alps:

ELVES LOCATION: Possagno is located in Northern Italy, a destination linked to the famous artist, Antonio Canova. Canova is considered a sculptural genius. Among his most remembered works is the landmark Tempio Canoviano  (Temple of Canova), inspired by the Pantheon in Rome.

Temple of Canova is a Roman Catholic parish church designed in a severe Neoclassical style.
