4 Wisdom / CIB
Greetings Beloved Kin,
CIB is the symbol of the mystic ferryman that holds a torch aloft to carry us to the other side. CIB’s totem Owl holds the vision of the Eagle, with the means to see through the darkness of the unknown, and to see “what’s behind.”
CIB is a Time to honor the Wisdom of the Ages. The glyph illustrates the Mind in its highest state of Illumination. History repeats itself. Beyond the Wisdom of our own experience is the Truth of the Times before. We’re inclined to share what we’ve learned with a new generation. The new generation is inclined to think it only applies to the “old days.” There is wisdom in every experience that’s learned the hard way. The Truth stands forever. We only need to apply it to a new Time and Place.
The One Truth we can always know for sure. We don’t know everything. Truth Evolves over Time by the Sum of the Whole Change that’s taken place since the “First Light” of knowing. The Wisdom of the Old and the New is a measure of “what it means” tomorrow.
CIB turns our thoughts to the archeological treasure of the Past. The Unknown Future in the Past is perfectly clear as the Hindsight of Today. How would you live yesterday, if you knew what you know today? If we can’t change the Past, then the Truth we know Today must be good enough by Divine Design to change tomorrow.

We can’t deny that Time changes things. The trecena of Reed/BEN is about the Truth we share with our children, by thought, word, and deed. By Human reason, the best example is being perfect by following all the rules. In our youth we lacked the experience of forethought. We tested the rules to learn the Truth Our Way.
We’ll keep learning on an ever-expanding scale of suffering. The “good ole days” are the illusions of yesterday. We weren’t held accountable for what we couldn’t see with our own eyes. Now that’s in question. We all have to discern the Truth for our Self.
We never get away with anything. The Creator saw everything from the beginning. Our Spirit suffered the choices we made. The Maya still observe a tradition to check in on the neighbors on Times marked by Reed/BEN. We’re closer together now, yet we’re further apart. We can expand the territory and check in on the neighbors beyond next door.
The Sanctuary of Home is the place we learn how to live in the world. We are intended to create our own life. The duty from the beginning is to teach our children to stand on their own. Wisdom is the application of the Truth of our own Experience with consideration of the Wisdom of the Past, and that One Truth that we Still don’t know a thing when it comes to Divine Possibilities.
The totem Owl can see through the darkness of the Past and the Illusions born of Ignorance and Irresponsibility. The Truth is the Divine Medicine that always stings and leaves a blow to our Ego. Wisdom requires the Courage to know.
Wisdom/CIB resides in the South, the down-below place where we learn who we are by the Creator’s Intention of Right Relationship with one another and with the Natural World. When those Divine Conditions aren’t right, we can’t grow to our Highest Potential. Our Body and Soul lives by Spirit and is kept whole in the Equilibrium of the Golden Rule.
There’s Divine Truth in the Darkness and the Light. From Human’s perspective, we’re hopeless. The Wisdom of Divine Truth is the Provision for all our Human limitations.
Wisdom/CIB is the Mayan symbol of the “mystic ferryman that holds a torch aloft for the passage to the otherside.” Some think of the Owl as a Sign of Death. The Truth about our Human ways always leads to the death of our Ego.
We can look beyond the Truth of our latest Revelation. What happened before? We’ve lived through the Dark Ages before. The Creation isn’t finished until the Miracle is a Dream for everyone.
Tone 4 raises the Intention of Stability. In the 4th Hour of Light the Maya surveyed the field of corn. We create a strategy before we begin “the work” of Creation. We can Understand that we don’t know the whole story, until we’ve lived the Truth by our own experience. We don’t have to learn the hard way, when our Intention is to Understand all the Reasons that came before.
Proverbs 9:10, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.”
Forgiveness is the Offering that is the Key to the Kingdom. Through Forgiveness we see clearly, the Truth of Love we didn’t want to see before.
May we pray for Humility and an Open mind.
love, in lak’ech, i am another you

Descriptions by Ian Xel Lungold (12 Sun/AHAU), wisdom and Tzolk’in calculator preserved on MayanMajix.com
Galactic Tone 4: Stability; the cube is most stable of all forms and establishes volume by definition of height, length, depth and breadth; 4 directions establish orientation. The energy of 4 sets the parameters, which establish the freedoms and barriers needed to create a game, work, or relationship.
Wisdom/CIB: The old ones. Wisdom of the ancients. Wisdom persons are aligned with the ancient memories that wait in the stone of temples and sacred sites all over the world. Wisdom people grow luck like a crop using a balance of prudence and tenacity. The tremendous inner strength of this sign enables silent introspection to discover areas of oneself that contain wisdom more valuable than any trove of archaeological treasure. Wisdom persons are valiant defenders of family and community. They may become hardened to life and sentiment turned cold. In these cases, they need much forgiveness for their uncaring errors. Periodically connecting with nature and or visiting sacred sites will bring great stability to wisdom persons. A good day to sit on a rock.

Cherokee, Owl U’GUKU’ O’JJ: Symbol is the Owl is Arcturus, the brightest Star in the Constellation Bootes. The Cherokee Bear constellation (Ursa Major) includes the Big Dipper plus four stars in Bootes. Owl is a hunter, who stands for the wisdom and ability of all great hunters, the cunning of a fox, the tenacity of a bulldog and strength of a bear. Energy for deep thinkers, strong-willed, rigid convictions, bold and authoritative. Owl is the Mystic Ferryman who guides Earthlings on the return path to the stars holding the torch aloft.
