MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
Life begins with the in-breath of Spirit and upon the final out-breath, ends with the Spirit’s ascension from the body. Together, Tone 13 and Wind/IK illustrate the full circle of life and connects us through all the days in-between. Wind carries the voice of our Creator and is capable to draw our attention to the present moment. We may experience a new sense of ourselves. We see ourselves destined for Greater Things.
Wink/IK brings the Breath of Spirit and Life to effect a New Awakening and to bring to life a new Personification of Love in the World. At Galactic Tone 13, we stand on Higher Ground with a whole New Horizon of Possibilities. We are reborn with new Life, new Inspiration, new Love and Power. All we need now is a Dream.
We are about to enter the trecena of Night/AKBAL, the place of the Unknown where All Things are possible. A new Expression of our Love is about to be born as Divine Guidance from “the beyond” helps us fire the seeds of a new inspiration.
Today is a day to acknowledge and celebrate our accomplishments. Our Ascension means that we have been reborn by a new Truth that is now our own. Like a rite of passage, we can celebrate all the work we invested to reach this new horizon and the new possibilities made possible by our effort.
To all my relations, may we be grateful for the Wisdom of Love gifted to us by the Creator, and to the Ancient Ancestors who preserved this wisdom. May we feel the Caress of the Wind that breathes New Life and Spirit, and carries our prayers to the Great Spirit.

13 Wind/IK (Cherokee Whirlwind Agalu’ga)
Galactic Tone 13: Ascension; Thirteen assists us to go to the next higher step, propels us to try something new or to try again. Thirteen energy takes us over the next mountain just to see what is there. Thirteen carries the last success to the newest effort. Thirteen is a number associated with the Ascended Masters, creation, expansion, and manifestation.
Wind/IK: Breath of spirit, breath of life. Winds embody the power of dissemination and planting of good seeds or ideas. They are dreamers and planners with powerful imaginations. Wind persons make great orators and they spread the word of spiritual inspiration as if carried by the wind. Wind is the power behind the movement of natural cycles such as weather, erosion, and cultural change. As the wind, these persons are extremely changeable and adaptable. They may appear inconsistent and fickle to others. Wind can be destructive to self and others by put on airs. When wind strut and boast, expanding on facts and accomplishments, they are building the dark clouds of trouble that may become hurricanes.
Cherokee, Whirlwind Agalu’ga: The Cherokee symbol of the whirlwind is a double spiral helix in rising smoke and related to the direction of the North. In Cherokee, the constellations are represented by 12 birds (dancers) and the 13th bird is the Whirlwind, the lead dancer.
NEW DAY KEEPERS: My sacred intention for the new Tzolk’in round is to offer more personal support to those who may want to learn more about ways to draw personal meaning from the calendar. I will be offering an Introductory Guided Course for Day Keepers in the near future. Contact me if this is something you would be interested in! Also, if you’d just like help identifying your Day Sign, I’m more than happy to help. Blessings, in lak’ech Debra (email@example.com)
