An Alert of Increased Solar Activity
SPACEWEATHER.COM NEWS: 05/11/2026
SOLAR ACTIVITY ALERT: The odds of an Earth-directed solar flare are increasing as sunspot 4436 turns toward our planet. On May 10th (1339 UTC), the active region produced an M5.7-class solar flare, which blew a massive hole in the sun’s atmosphere:
SOHO coronagraphs (right) are tracking the emerging CME. It appears to be heading for a near miss, passing by Earth on May 13th, according to a NASA model. Ripples of interplanetary gas spreading from the CME’s path like the wake of a passing speedboat could touch Earth’s magnetosphere and cause geomagnetic unrest around the poles–but no full-fledged storm.
The next explosion might not miss. This sunspot has a history: Last week while it was on the farside of the sun it produced at least 5 CMEs. If the serial explosions continue in the days ahead, Earth will be inside the strike zone. Stay tuned.
A TWILIGHT SKY SHOW IS COMING: Mark your calendar. On May 18th and 19th, the crescent Moon, Venus and Jupiter will put on a show in the western twilight sky. A tight Venus-Moon pairing on the 18th is the highlight, but the view will be great on both nights.
StarWalk offers the dates and times throughout May. (May ends in a Blue Moon, May 31, 2026.)

RED AURORAS OVER CUBA: It happened only two years ago. On May 10-11, 2024, auroras spread around the world during the strongest geomagnetic storm in decades. Augusto Gallardo Quesada photographed the display from Gibara, Holguín, Cuba:

“I couldn’t believe it,” says Quesada. “It was a night not to forget!”
Cuba wasn’t the only place seeing rare auroras. Florida, Mexico, the islands of the South Pacific–skies were lighting up everywhere. You can re-visit this historic event in the Space Weather Archive: May 10, 11, 12, 2024.

“Red aurora rare enough to be special” (University of Alaska, Fairbanks)
Pure red auroras are rare compared to the common green and white auroras, occurring mainly during intense solar activity. They are caused by high-altitude oxygen reacting with low-energy solar particles at 300-500 km, often requiring intense \(G1+\) or higher geomagnetic storms to be visible, rather than just captured by cameras.

Mayan Calendar Time and Synchronicity
The trecena of Serpent/CHICCHAN represents a cycle of Light and a Divine Illumination from Above. 5 Offering/MULUC is a Day of Empowerment through the promise of a Sacred Exchange. The Lord is the highest authority that creates the balance of Divine Justice. Trust that the Architect of the Creation is in control of the future. Red is the color that represents the Fire of Spirit. The forecast includes potential for red skies.
CHICCHAN is a symbol of the Yod – a Sign of the touch of God’s Hand. MULUC is a symbol of the Christ Spirit, the offering of Blood and Living Water.

THE TRECENA OF SERPENT/CHICCHAN: AWAKENING THE GIFTS OF SPIRIT

The “Tzolk’in Field Guide” is my gift to download that includes the Count of Days with the aspects for each Destiny Kin and highlights for a personal practice with each trecena. It’s designed as a companion for daily practice.
It only takes 13 days to see how a Divine Intention set at the beginning, always end with the Truth of Answered Prayers. You only have to track your thoughts to stay on course. Often the matters on your mind follow the divine order of Time as the meaning of every Day.
Visit the 13-Day Trecena Guide. to download a free copy. Volume 1 covers the first two seasons of the Tzolk’in, and Volume 2 covers the 3rd and 4th seasons to the end of the Tzolk’in round.
Serpent/CHICCHAN is the 3nd trecena of the 2nd season of the Tzolk’in round, found in Volume 1. There’s something more to see when you discern the meaning of Time for yourself. The meaning of time is revealed by the thoughts on your mind.
NOTE: Tone 1 reflects the 1st Light of Divine Inspiration as the “legend” of this chapter of Time. If you forget where you are, return to Tone 1 to see the “First Light” of Divine Inspiration.
5 Offering/MULUC, (Cherokee, The River/YUN’WI GUNNAHI’TA) – Day 5 of 13 in the trecena of 1 Serpent CHICCHAN
Descriptions by Ian Xel Lungold (12 Sun/AHAU), who’s wisdom and Tzolk’in date calculator is preserved on MayanMajix.com
Galactic Tone 5: Empowerment. At the center of the cube we find Five. Five is an intelligent, organizing force which manages communications and materials, knowledge and application. Fives are natural net workers who gather what is needed. These persons can probe directly to the core of any situation making them excellent investigators.
Offering/MULUC: Also known as the sign of water. Ceremonially, Maya use water as an offering in baptisms and purification. These ceremonies are done to bring about a collective strength, adaptability and harmony. In sincere appreciation, Offering people gladly give more than they ask for themselves. Offering persons are dynamic communicators with great intelligence making them excellent employers. Like a shaken vessel of water, Offering people regain equilibrium quickly. Also like a body of water, there may be deep undercurrents of emotion and hidden dangers. Others perceive these as hidden agendas in offering people and so extend them little trust and may even slap blame on them.
A GOOD DAY TO: Offer appreciation for all Creation.
Cherokee, The River/YUN’WI GUNNAHI’TA: The River is symbolized by The Milky Way, “Where the Dog Ran” to gather the souls for Heaven. The River is the minion for Grandfather Moon. Long Man is the personification of the River stretching from the mountains to the lowlands, speaking to those who can understand. People of this sign find “sermons in the stones” and good in everything. These souls march to a different drummer, driven by inner volcanic forces. The Moon controls our fluid cycle, to clear and understand emotional issues. When you take this step to clear the emotional body, then you are ready for transformational energies at the next level. As humans, our actions are ruled by our emotions, the key is to understand the connection and honor the emotions.

By providing the original text, I hope to offer a way to see what inspired my thoughts and by including all the aspects – allow for something more to inspire you. Mayan descriptions are those written by Ian Lungold. Cherokee descriptions came from multiple sources.
