SPACEWEATHER: Behemoth Sunspot on the Farside; and a Light Show Tonight

Sunspot on the Farside

Light Forecast for the Future

SPACEWEATHER.COM NEWS: 05/18/2026

HUGE FARSIDE SUNSPOT: One of the biggest sunspots in years is crossing the farside of the sun. Europe’s Solar Orbiter photographed the behemoth on May 17th:

The sunspot is crackling with strong solar flares. Over the past three days (May 15-17), X-ray sensors onboard Solar Orbiter detected two X1-class flares and a dozen M-class flares. Earth-based coronagraphs have also detected multiple CMEs emerging from the farside, additional confirmation of intense activity.

The giant sunspot is also visible from Mars. During a survey of atmospheric dust on May 16th the Perseverance rover saw *two* large active regions:

The View from Mars

One of these is clearly the same V-shaped cluster Solar Orbiter is tracking, with a second significant sunspot trailing behind.

Solar Orbiter’s giant sunspot will turn toward Earth in 5 or 6 days, putting our planet in the strike zone for future activity. Stay tuned for updates from Solar Orbiter and Mars.

TWILIGHT SKY SHOW–TONIGHT! When the sun goes down tonight, step outside and look west. Venus and the crescent Moon are in conjunction–a tight pair beautifully framed by twilight blue. Tomorrow night, the crescent Moon will move closer to Jupiter, forming a different but equally beautiful scene.

Mayan Calendar Time and Synchronicity

Venus is shining next to the Moon, a reflection of our emotions. Jupiter is a “lucky star”. Our good fortune, a gift never eared, is a Divine Father who always Loves and Understands. He wants us to know he loves us in spite of our Human limitations. The only way to know is to share the Truth. To become a Personification of God’s Light, we have to forgive our Self and Others, and leave the matter of judgement in the Hands of the One that knows it all.

12 Wisdom/CIB marks the Day we “get it”. When our Heart is turned to forgiveness we claim our own Salvation. It’s time to think about it. The totem Owl shares the vision to see through the darkness to the Light of Truth.

The Light from the farside should reveal itself within the next 5-6 Days.

THE TRECENA OF SERPENT/CHICCHAN: AWAKENING THE GIFTS OF SPIRIT

The “Tzolk’in Field Guide” is my gift to download that includes the Count of Days with the aspects for each Destiny Kin and highlights for a personal practice with each trecena. It’s designed as a companion for daily practice.

It only takes 13 days to see how a Divine Intention set at the beginning, always end with the Truth of Answered Prayers. You only have to track your thoughts to stay on course. Often the matters on your mind follow the divine order of Time as the meaning of every Day.

Visit the 13-Day Trecena Guide. to download a free copy. Volume 1 covers the first two seasons of the Tzolk’in, and Volume 2 covers the 3rd and 4th seasons to the end of the Tzolk’in round.

Serpent/CHICCHAN is the 3nd trecena of the 2nd season of the Tzolk’in round, found in Volume 1. There’s something more to see when you discern the meaning of Time for yourself. The meaning of time is revealed by the thoughts on your mind.

NOTE: Tone 1 reflects the 1st Light of Divine Inspiration as the “legend” of this chapter of Time. If you forget where you are, return to Tone 1 to see the “First Light” of Divine Inspiration.

12 Wisdom/CIB (Cherokee, Owl U’GUKU’) – Day 12 of 13 in the trecena of 1 Serpent CHICCHAN

Descriptions by Ian Xel Lungold (12 Sun/AHAU), who’s wisdom and Tzolk’in date calculator is preserved on MayanMajix.com

Galactic Tone 12: Understanding. This number’s energy is a gift of great capability of retrospection. It is this ability that allows Twelve to connect disassociated parts into a (new) functioning whole. The energy of Twelve is that which presents a new piece of understood information or accumulated experience to be applied.

Wisdom/CIB: The old ones. Wisdom of the ancients. Wisdom persons are aligned with the ancient memories that wait in the stone of temples and sacred sites all over the world. Wisdom people grow luck like a crop using a balance of prudence and tenacity. The tremendous inner strength of this sign enables silent introspection to discover areas of oneself that contain wisdom more valuable than any trove of archaeological treasure. Wisdom persons are valiant defenders of family and community. They may become hardened to life and sentiment turned cold. In these cases, they need much forgiveness for their uncaring errors. Periodically connecting with nature and or visiting sacred sites will bring great stability to wisdom persons.

A GOOD DAY TO: Sit on a rock.

Cherokee, Owl U’GUKU’   O’JJ: Symbol is the Owl is Arcturus, the brightest Star in the Constellation Bootes. The Cherokee Bear constellation (Ursa Major) includes the Big Dipper plus four stars in Bootes.  Owl is a hunter, who stands for the wisdom and ability of all great hunters, the cunning of a fox, the tenacity of a bulldog and strength of a bear. Energy for deep thinkers, strong-willed, rigid convictions, bold and authoritative.  Owl is the Mystic Ferryman who guides Earthlings on the return path to the stars holding the torch aloft.

By providing the original text, I hope to offer a way to see what inspired my thoughts and by including all the aspects – allow for something more to inspire you.
