1 Eagle/MEN – Wings of Spirit

THE TRECENA OF EAGLE/MEN

1 Eagle / MEN

1 Eagle / MEN

Greetings Kin,

We begin a Journey of Inspiration on the Wings of Spirit. Eagle prepares the way for the next Higher level of Spiritual Accomplishment. Totem Eagle is revered as the one capable to carry us to the heavenly realms. We are given Eagle’s wings with which to pursue our Highest Aspirations.

Eagle leads a trecena of High Hopes. We are encouraged to reach for the Dream that satisfies our longing to create something of enduring value by its beauty, meaning and purpose. Eagle positions us to grasp our Highest Dream.

Our effort will be empowered through inner strength of 5 Storm/CAUAC, and the pace of our climb will be guided by 6 Sun/AHAU, the Champion of the Tzolk’in. On the second of the two portal days in this trecena we will enter the 13th Uinal. This begins the last 20-day progression of Day Signs that completes the Tzolk’in round in the Yucatec tradition. Under the number 13 we will enter a 20-day cycle of Ascension.

Eagle/MEN is considered a Day Sign of luck and success in business. Eagle offers the advantage of seeing future outcomes. Eagle is capable to see its next meal over a mile away. Eagle can empower us to see exactly what we want, and imparts the power and mental acuity to seize the opportunity.

Eagle’s gift of foresight is a well-honed talent they employ every day. We don’t see Eagle hovering over the water to catch its next meal. The opportunity is spotted from far off. Eagle intuitively calculates the distance from Point A to Point B and times its arrival at precisely the right moment to grasp an opportunity – even one hidden below the surface. This is the Power that Eagle will share as it guides the way to our Highest Aspirations. Hopes and Dreams that may have seemed too far off to grasp will now be within our reach.

We learned from Wind/IK that every creation begins as an Inspiration of Spirit. Tone 1 is the Beginning of Creation that calls our awareness within where the inspiration for a new Intention to Create is born. As Eagle raises our proximity to the heavenly realm, a closer correspondence with Spirit can reveal a vision of our Highest Dream.

Eagle’s life purpose is to serve in the role of intermediary. We can establish a new Intention knowing we have someone in our corner as a mediator, negotiator, and intercessor who can navigate a journey to the wisdom that guides a Way.

To all my relations, as we begin again may we be open to all possibility. May we cast off the idea that a cherished dream is too lofty to reach. May we grasp the opportunity to see just how high the Eagle can take us. We take flight on the Wings of Spirit to reach all the Divine Help we need.

in lak’ech, i am another you

THE TRECENA OF EAGLE/MEN

1 Eagle/MEN (Cherokee, Eagle/UWO’HATLI)

Galactic Tone 1:  Unity. One is the beginning of all things, the first, the whole and the all in one. One’s are assertive and self-guided and give a good push to whatever project they are associated with. One persons work best when meeting a challenge. Do not expect One-persons to be attentive to details or to put the finishing touches on things.

Eagle/MEN: Intermediary between Heaven and Earth. Due to the Eagles superior point of view and keen intelligence, they achieve material abundance and good fortune. A messenger gifted with patience and a deep sense of value, Eagle brings hope and trust on the wings of Spirit. Eagle persons are very detail oriented and technically inclined. Compassionate service to others sustains prosperity for Eagle persons as the flapping of wings would sustain their bird brothers. If Eagle becomes viciously competitive or possessive, greed and jealousy cause a fall from the heights. Eagles, being blessed with freedom of movement, should be aware of escapism. Eagles may be tempted to just fly away from troubles by using indulgences.

Cherokee, Eagle/UWO’HATLI:  Symbol is Mars the Spirit Warrior. He is a minion of Grandfather Moon. Eagles were the warrior society, the braves the protectors of the nation.Women were included. There was no discrimination which is reflected in the language: third person singular is divided into animate, human and animate, not human instead of he and she.  The energy of high hopes and anticipations, dreams and visions, cosmic consciousness and commitment.  On earth a provider of excellence, leader, husbandry, care-taking of others, financial security and inheritance. Totem-Eagle. Powerful energy for success in worldly affairs, due to far seeing  vision.  Ability to create masses of money and abundance through an intellectual type of profession.  Eagle asks for what he desires and manifests it.  Professor, lawyer, teacher, leader.

Daykeeper Resources: A collection of resources for a deeper understanding of the Mayan Calendar.

Ceremonial Arts: NEW – A Ceremony of Initiation if a first offering on this page, offering a way to Initiate our new beginning on the Eagle/MEN trecena.

    — Point A to Point B; I’m love the focused trajectory!

    — An uncanny connection to a parable a close friend shared with me this weekend in way of motivation for me to finish my novel:
There once was a flock of ducks with an eagle living amongst the flock, raised as one of them. You see, the eagle had fallen from the nest as an egg and never knew his rightful clan. Until one day, he looked around the pond at all the others ducks and realized his was different. He had talons, with large, sharp feathers and a golden beak. It took courage for him to learn how to use those wings to soar high above the others, and faith to eventually leave his brethren ducks behind to explore new heights. But rise he must…and so he did. • Thank you for sharing that! This writing felt so strong, I hardly recognized these qualities in myself (9 eagle); but like your story – I haven’t claimed my “eagleness”. My inspiration for this trecena…
