MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
Transformer/CIMI helped us to see our own Change in Progress. Our most important changes are those that challenge our established thoughts, beliefs and perspectives. As we wait for a new understanding to take hold, we may feel a sense of loss from old Truths we had to let go.
It’s easier to believe that Life can continue on as it always has before, though Sun’s newest enlightenment may have brought home the sense of impermanence by seeing a way of living that is no longer sustainable. Though we’ve been given a new course of direction, we’ve yet to see the evidence of the blessing it will bring.
Tone 8 brings the equity of Divine Justice. The Faith we employed to move forward through the unknown is our Crowning Achievement. By remaining committed to our Sacred Intention in the Light of our Life’s injustices, our effort will be compensated by an Action of Divine Intervention. We are made capable to Stand in our Own Power.
The Blue Day Signs of the Tzolk’in bring the Light of New Inspiration that touches our Heart. As we step into the Role as Divine Agents of God, our Eyes are refocused from our own suffering to the greater burden carried by all of Humanity. We won’t have to look far to see how Truly Blessed we are in Light of the Millions who are suffering greater hardship. We may feel the weight of our collective sorrow and the Truth of our need for a Savior.
We are being prepared to Serve. We were born into this place and time as the Ones the World has been waiting for.
We may think that the greatest needs lie far outside our scope of influence. Though, Deer/MANIK is the Day Sign who brings the Spiritual Tools to overcome every perceived limitation.
We have to reach no farther than our Gifts of Power within. Deer/MANIK holds the Power of Harmonic Resonance. CHICCHAN taught us something about our Sense of Vibration. This is the Spiritual Medium and the Substance of the Whole through which we are made capable to Receive and Transmit our own Spiritual Gifts.
We raise our own Vibration through an elevation of Consciousness. Science has proven that when we hold thoughts of Love our Being Vibrates at a higher frequency. As our Heart is cracked open to a deeper experience of Unconditional Love by our Compassion for Others the very Being of our Vibration raises the Consciousness of the Whole. We offer Peace to the World as we find our own Peace within.
Deer/MANIK guides us to walk in Humility with the Understanding that this Power is not born of our Human capability. We are only the channels through which a Divine Power flows.
The MANIK glyph represents the hand with fingers closing a circuit of a Current of Energy capable to exchange a flow of Power from one point to another. Deer/MANIK’s Spiritual Tool of Resonance empowers us to emanate a Vibration of Love that returns an harmonic response. As the Hands of God, our Love and Compassion is a Real and Emanating Divine Force with the Power to Heal the world.
To all my relations, we are bestowed with a Great Gift that carries a Great Responsibility. As our Hearts and Minds are opened to the Truth of the Power we hold within, there is no going back to the comfort of our own complacency. We are pressed on into Higher Service to make use of the Gifts we are Given. May we open our Hearts to experience the Love that flows through with a Power so Divine it is beyond our own understanding. May we walk in the Humility of Knowing that this Power is not meant as Ours alone to hold, but that we were created only as the channel for a Blessing to be shared by the Whole.

8 Deer/MANIK (Cherokee, Deer/Ahwu’sdi)
Galactic Tone 8: Justice. Harmony and balance are the intent of Eight. Eights carefully weigh all evidence to reach a balance of justice. Eight is the power of organization demonstrated in the statement, “As above, so below”. From simplicity to infinity, the energy of Eight organizes all levels of creation. Some Eights are “Neat Freaks”.
Deer/MANIK (Hand): Deer are spirit tools. Silence itself is a spiritual experience for Deer. For Deer life is a pilgrimage. Deer are dominant persons who defend the people and will make sacrifices for others. The spirit of Deer upholds the pillars of the four directions. With the power inherent in the number four, Deer pushes away bad influences or negative energies. Skill and quality of work are very important to Deer. They are presented with tools for every task in life and it is with these that they are able to rise above limitations. Deer has a habit of keeping every tool it has ever used. This leads to clutter and indecision, loss and procrastination. When confronted with promises not kept, Deer becomes stubborn, manipulative and evasive.
Cherokee, Deer/Ahwu’sdi: Symbolized by Constellation Galagina, the Stag, known as Taurus, the Bull. It does not include the Pleiades and Hyades clusters which in Cherokee are viewed as separate. To feed, gatherers of food and supplies, they enjoy rituals, ceremonials, feasts, the souls of hospitality, sociability. Freedom versus security issues often inspire leadership and unique solutions. Combined with artistic and inspiring energies in harmony with lunar cycles, they nourish the clans. Totem-Deer: A priest or shaman, a powerful person in general, to overwhelm an individual with one’s personal power, divination; inclined to become a teacher, healer, guru, civic leader, or politician. Ability to create harmonic resonance.
