MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
Tone 9 calls for our Patience. We are asked to look more deeply into the Truth we’ve seen from a broader perspective to complete a new understanding.
The purpose of Flint’s Truth was to cut through the negative illusions of our Self that have stood in the way of our moving forward. Like a pruning, we may have felt some initial damage, though by leaving something behind our growth will be accelerated and we will bear a more abundant harvest.
Storm/CAUAC is perfectly positioned to follow Flint, bringing an energy associated with the comfort of Home. From a place of safety we can see the Forces of Nature in a display of Unbridled Energy. Storms are capable to make dramatic changes in our landscape, its wind capable to turn things around, and through its electrical charge of lightning, nourishes the Earth and charges the ozone in the air we breath. As a sudden discharge of electrical energy, Storm connects the Up Above to the Down Below.
Storm/CAUAC forges a direct connection to our Spiritual Forces of Power. We are connected by the Element of Ether ignited as the plasma of Pure Energy, not bound by any form or design. CAUAC calls attention to our Unlimited Power of Being by our connection to the Divine.
The Truth of Flint is said to be delivered upon the path of a lightning strike. Looking beyond the initial damage, we can see how the new Truth we’ve seen will enrich our lives rather than destroy.
A turning point in our Transformation has yet to reveal its result. I think of the vulnerability that comes with learning something new about myself that warrants a drastic change. There is a vulnerability in receiving a Truth that can’t be fixed in one day. Only Time can reveal the Truth of real change.
We can look to Storm as displaying the Strength of the Divine Agency that would draw us to our next higher level of Consciousness. There is more than enough power to support the adjustments we found necessary to bring ourselves into Balance. Today, the evidence of Divine Power can make a striking appearance.
We can see the evidence that we are not alone and that there is nothing we couldn’t accomplish when we draw upon a Divine Source of Power.
A Red Wing Blackbird whistles its song on my balcony, calling my attention to the Cherokee Redbird that’s seen as the presence of “lightning energy” in the sky. The lightning energy of Storm can charge the “lightning in our blood” to bring awareness to our own Senses of Unbridled Energy. Through a sixth sense of Being, we can be nourished by a Knowing that our Divine Intentions are a channel through which our Spiritual Energy flows.
To draw on this power Storms call us home to reside in the safety within. Here we are opened to see that the Intentions that are aligned with a Divine Purpose, are directly tied to a source of Unlimited Power.
Tone 9 comes with a warning of potential suffering if we don’t take the time to explore something more deeply. At this place of vulnerability, our Consciousness of Divine Support can restore us to Wholeness with all the Power that is needed. The weight of a Transformation we would choose is not carried solely by our own power but is drawn to us through an alignment.
Storm/CAUAC can lift our fear so that we are able to imagine the far-reaching effects of the changes we would hope to make. We can see how by a clearing of our conceived obstructions, we empower ourselves with a new Freedom to Be. From a broader perspective we can see how the changes in our Self will expand the ways we are capable to serve one another to create a new world of our choosing.
To all my relations, may we consider the display of Storm’s Power as a glimpse into the Power we hold within. We are given a Power Source of Spirit that can be directed to charge an Intention of Spirit. This is a day when we could sense our Power Within as “lightning in the blood” – our Intuitive Sense of Knowing. May we sense the Wonder of Storm in all its Freedom to draw Truth upon which we can hold Faith in our own Power to Be. May we feel the nourishment of a new Source of Power that is rising within.

9 Storm/CAUAC (Cherokee, Redbird/TOTSU’HWA)
Galactic Tone 9: Patience. The energy of Nine is one of the getting a better perspective of the bigger picture. With the energy of Nine plans or patterns begin to come to completion. Nine requires patience and perseverance that is found in the bigger picture, otherwise there is great suffering from the lack of insight. The completion of cycles of action is all-important to Nine.
Storm/Cauac: Day of the blessing of rain, giver of all life and lightening, a gift of nitrogen to Mother Earth and ozone to Father Sky. Cauac is also associated with the moon and the cycles of the moon, which are the meter of the feminine aspect of creation. The essence of Storm is the feeling of unity, security and warmth experienced in the home while the tempest of trouble rages in the world outside. Perpetually youthful, Storms exist to experience the ecstasy of freedom. They have the great capacity to both learn and teach. Their constant quest for novel experiences often leads to difficult tests and storms of emotion. Looking at these difficulties for the lessons they indeed are, will enrich our lives rather than destroy. Cauac individuals teach much through their electricity of being. Lightning energizes earth, this same energy energizes humans. Divine connections can be accessed.
Cherokee, Redbird/TOTSU’HWA: Redbird is a feminine sign; the hand that rocks the cradle. The symbol of nurturing, the lightning nurtures and energizes, with energy for zest, curiosity, imagination, and ideas. Lightning adds spiritual force to the human by way of “lightning of the blood” of a healer, directly body to body vibration. The key to spiritual communication and access to the wisdom of the Ancestors lies in the ability to bestir the blood to speak.
