5 Monkey / CHUEN – A Vision of Purpose: Day 5 of 13

5 Monkey / CHUEN

Greetings Kin,

Tone 5 offers the Empowerment for our Spiritual Climb. Monkey/CHUEN demonstrates our Power of Creation. Monkey is the Master Artist that manifests beauty from its Imagination. CHUEN is the Weaver of Time. The glyph of the Monkey shows “time rolled up” on its head. Monkey discovers the Beauty in all the times of our life.

Tone 5 and CHUEN share the same aspects of intelligence and imagination that can conceive the Application of Inspiration. The experiences of living are the raw materials and medium for Monkey’s work of Art. As Dog/OC’s closest friend, CHUEN sees that an Application of Love holds the Power to Create Beauty from every experience.

Monkey/CHUEN helps us discover beauty by not taking ourselves so seriously. Monkey uses its intellect and imagination in the activity of play. Monkey sees life through a lens of curiosity, trying things just to see what happens. CHUEN weaves together the experiences of our life into a work of art.

The Cherokee Day Sign of the Raccoon is a trickster who is full of friendly mischief, who plays the fool to make us smile. We are inclined to approach our Spiritual Growth as serious business. Raccoon lightens our hearts by allowing us to see the Humor in our Human ways of being. Through play, Monkey helps us experience the simple Joy of Living.

Years ago I spent some time studying Anthony Robbins’ teaching on Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). NLP is a behavioral technology used to transform behavior through a changes in perception. One of the exercises was to re-imagine an experience we wanted to release. To associate a new response we were to imagine it happening like a movie in double-time with fast forwards and rewinds. Add in some colliopie circus music for the background. The scene was transformed into a 3-ring circus so you can’t help but smile. We were to be conscious of the new response. It may sound crazy, but that scene could never be remembered again without thinking of those special effects.

Dog/OC reflects the Divinity of the Heart, and Monkey/CHUEN, the Divinity of the Mind. Monkey shows us the Magical Play of Time. Human is the only Living Creation with the Power to Re-Experience the Past and Imagine the Future. As Above, So Below. What we are able to see in the Realm of the Imagination, we are capable to manifest in the Natural World.

We can re-imagine those days from our childhood when we lost ourselves in play. We could get lost in our own little world. Monkey guides us to live without care and in amazement of the beauty around us. This is a day to celebrate the Gift of Life and all the Experiences that led us this place in time.

The world needs all the laughter we can bring. Monkey will help us create more good times ahead. Monkey is the Master of all Art is said to move on from one thing to another, rarely completing anything. Our lives don’t have to follow the same path, just because that’s the way its always been done. We can walk away from one world and into another by the Choice of our Own Free Will. We can declare that “it’s time for something completely different” to imagine a new Dream.

Monkey/CHUEN can shift our focus from the duality of right or wrong, good or bad – to the Discernment of Possibility. The Deer/MANIK trecena’s Spiritual Tool for Empowerment is to Enjoy Life and Be Happy. Both Dog and Monkey take advantage of every opportunity to celebrate the experience of living.

To all my relations, may we follow the Way of the Monkey, approaching life as play. May we Dream as we would have as children, believing in our own Magic Power.

in lak’ech, i am another you

5 Monkey/CHUEN (Cherokee, Raccoon/KVH’LI)

Galactic Tone 5: Empowerment. At the center of the cube we find Five. Five is an intelligent, organizing force which manages communications and materials, knowledge and application. Fives are natural net workers who gather what is needed. These persons can probe directly to the core of any situation making them excellent investigators.

Monkey/CHUEN: Monkey is known to the Maya as the Weaver or Weaver of Time. Monkey takes ideas as threads of vines and weaves them into the fabric of our reality. New patterns or inventions are also woven into our lives by Monkey. Amiable, intelligent, generous and a jack of all trades, Monkey’s innocent curiosity leads to artistic expression and constructive solutions. Many Monkeys become highly respected merchants or speakers. They love performing practical jokes and crave attention, so much so that they may over-act or play the fool to get the spotlight. Monkeys have a short attention span and find it difficult to stay with anything long enough to master it.

Cherokee, Raccoon/KVH’LI: Star Symbol: Algol, a star in Perseus. Restless energy yearning for long-lost love. Algol was named DEMON STAR or MISCHIEVOUS ONE by the Ancients because it winks and fades at times. Raccoons are full of friendly mischief, eager to swap kisses for candy; magnetic leaders, full of humor and gaiety. Favorite food is corn, the mainstay of the Cherokee. Very artistic while being the “masked bandit” who steals your heart. Totem Monkey: The energy of humor, the artisan and craftsmen of the Universal energy. Helps us to lighten up in all situations, was the glyph of the 4th world creation in conjunction with OC so that we would have humor in all of our endeavors. The humor, when added to a serious situation will allow you to have a less destructive pattern of resolution. This is the “Cosmic joke” energy to help us transcend the duality. A life path of comedian, actor, artist, artisan writer, satirist, any path is enhanced with this humor in conjunction with the creative energies.

[Text in italics was the primary source of inspiration for my journal. These are the sources that started my journey and they are the reference for interpretation each day. By providing the original text, I hope to offer a way to see what inspired my thoughts and by including all the aspects – allow for something more to inspire you. Mayan descriptions are those written by Ian Lungold. Cherokee descriptions came from multiple sources. 1. I like the idea of a pen as a magical wand … being able to rewind, fast forward, reimagine, create new realities, define old truths, transport, and forgive through creative practice the seemingly impossible … may the magic of play infuse new life into our pens, Dearest Debra! (wado)
