MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
Tone 10 represents the energy of Manifestation. Led by Eagle/MEN, we are raised up to see our accomplishment of Spiritual Growth. Today offers an opportunity to see the Truth of Change in ourselves. Eagle/MEN offers the Vision to see into the distance in every direction, and to see a Higher Vision through the eyes of the Creator. Tone 10 carries a great responsibility. For our new transformation to be made a permanent part of who we are, we must see it and claim it for our Self. Under Tone 10, what we focus on becomes real.
Eagle offers a reflection of who we are becoming and the new freedom we can experience as a result of our change. Eagle is the Intermediary that soars on the Wings of Spirit.
Jaguar/IX brought the experience of Spirit by sharing its Deep Love and Gratitude for Mother Earth. The magic of the Jaguar is the Gratitude that illuminates the darkness. When we are experiencing the Beauty of Mother Earth, and all the Gifts of the Creator she presents to us, there is no room in our heart for the darkness to take hold. God created a place of such beauty and wonder that we could explore it for a lifetime without ever running out of something new and beautiful to experience.
Eagle was revered by the indigenous people as the creator that is capable to fly closest to heaven. Those who took on the experience of Eagle as their totem, imagined a Journey that was seen through Eagle Eyes, and danced with wings outstretched to rise upon the Wind.
The time around the Fall Equinox is seen by the indigenous peoples of North America as the “crack between worlds.” Brought forward is an awareness of the Spiritual Harvest that is drawn from the effort of the Spring and Summer. Looking back, we can see the progress that has lifted us to new Spiritual Heights. They saw Fall leading to Winter, the time of reflection when things are contemplated for the full realization of the Change seated within our Self. Fall is the time when the past no longer exists, and we anticipate the new that will take hold.
Eagle can see its next meal over a mile away. Focusing solely on the prize, it takes off – depending on its Senses and Intuition to guide it there. 10 Eagle/MEN guides us to lock-on to the Vision of the Future we would claim. By holding that vision in our Consciousness, a Divine Agency will carry us there.
Every experience holds the opportunity for transformation. When we look with eagle-eye clarity, we can see something new that has come into being. Eagle/MEN resides in the West, the direction of our life’s experience and our feelings. We may be presented with a situation we’ve faced before, and realize that our feelings about it have changed. We respond to an old situation in a new way because we see it differently. We might see a new ease that comes from turning to Spirit to discern the meaning of our daily ups and downs. We might feel a new freedom from our worry of the unknown. As we acknowledge the change in ourselves, it becomes real.
Eagle guides us to look for it, see it, and claim it as our new Manifestation of Consciousness. Eagle/MEN is a sign of success in life, by its ability to see and grasp an opportunity. 10 Eagle/MEN offers a breakthrough opportunity that we must claim in order to own. We must be able to see our change, the potential long-range influence, and then claim it as the new Truth of who we are.
Eagle is thought to bring the energy of luck and the gift of seeing into the future. Eagle/MEN calls for our Highest Aspirations. We invest ourselves in our new manifestation when we take the time to see the long-term potential. On the tone of manifestation, we are open to receive a Gift of Intuition and Higher Vision of the future.
To all my relations, may we see that we’ve been given new wings to fly above our past limitations. May we see the new opportunities that are now within our grasp. May we open our eyes to the Miracle of Change that is presented to us today and acknowledge with our gratitude a Divine Gift that opens the way to a new road before us. May we claim the new Peace we are able to grasp by remembering to turn from the outer world to the Sanctuary of an Altar within, and to the Creator’s Divine Altar presented before us as Mother Earth. May we take a flight with the Eagle to see the opportunities for Joy and Happiness that exist as far as the eye can see in every direction. May we take on the role of the Intermediary, who would claim this Gift, imagining it as a Blessing of Divine Intervention for all mankind. May we Know a Newness in our Spirit that offers new Freedom from the cares of this world, and our Power to Manifest new Consciousness for the Equal and Highest Good of Humanity.
THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS FOR THOSE IN HARMS WAY:
May we remember the loss of so many from the Earthquake in Mexico, and those still in harms way from Hurricane Maria. May we extend our Compassionate Love to help bear the sorrow and uncertainty of those who are left behind. We would especially remember the parents and families of so many children who were lost. May we hold a vision of Divine Intervention for those still in harms way, from natural disasters to the potential disasters of folly presented by our lower Human Nature. May we claim the Sanctuary of our Altar, prepared as the place of safety where we can go, should we find ourselves in danger. May we know that those who have been swept away were gather into the arms of the Creator, where we would see them again to celebrate the Reunion of Spirits, the Intention of Divine Justice that will Manifest as the Creator Planned.

10 Eagle/MEN (Cherokee, Eagle/UWO’HATLI)
Galactic Tone 10: Manifestation. What were once intentions or ideas, hopes or fears become physically present with the energy of Ten. What is focused upon with attention and intention becomes real with Ten. Ten is a powerful energy that carries a great responsibility.
Eagle/MEN: Intermediary between Heaven and Earth. Due to the Eagles superior point of view and keen intelligence, they achieve material abundance and good fortune. A messenger gifted with patience and a deep sense of value, Eagle brings hope and trust on the wings of Spirit. Eagle persons are very detail oriented and technically inclined. Compassionate service to others sustains prosperity for Eagle personas as the flapping of wings would sustain their bird brothers. If Eagle becomes viciously competitive or possessive, greed and jealousy cause a fall from the heights. Eagles, being blessed with freedom of movement, should be aware of escapism. Eagles may be tempted to just fly away from troubles by using indulgences.
Cherokee, Eagle/UWO’HATLI: Eagle’s symbol is Mars the Spirit Warrior. He is a minion of Grandfather Moon. Eagles were the warrior society, the braves the protectors of the nation. Women were included. There was no discrimination which is reflected in the language: third person singular is divided into animate, human and animate, not human instead of he and she. The energy of high hopes and anticipations, dreams and visions, cosmic consciousness and commitment. On earth, a provider of excellence, leader, husbandry, care-taking of others, financial security and inheritance.
