6 Earth / CABAN – Journey to a Dream: Day 6 of 13

MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL

6 Earth / CABAN

Greetings Kin,

Tone 6 offers the Peak Energy of Flow to establish a rhythm and pattern of Movement. Earth/CABAN is the Day Sign that calls into synchronicity our Movement with Mother Earth. CABAN draws our awareness to the planetary seasons and cycles that define a Time for Every Purpose.

Through the Movement of Mother Earth we experience cycles of darkness and light, seasons of Budding, Growth, Harvest, and  Dormancy. In Oneness with our Mother, we can learn to accommodate these same seasons in our Self.

Before Human created artificial light, our way of living was synchronized with these natural rhythms.

6 Earth/CABAN guides us into a Flow with the Movement of Mother Earth. Fall is the Natural Time of Harvest and choosing the Seeds for a new year. Fall is also a time to store-house the reserves for security and survival through the Winter. The Earth’s current cycle in the Northern Hemisphere is a time to prepare for our future and our security. Earth/CABAN can bring us the energy of Movement we need to finish the work of our Harvest.

The Cherokee Day Sign, the Heron, is associated with Movement as a creature who lives a life of migration. The Heron is also a symbol of Rebirth, compared to the Phoenix that rises from its own ashes. “One Myth has it that a Beautiful Young Maiden (the Heron Spirit Bird) fell from the Tree of Life in the Sky Vault, & Found no Place to Land on the Primordial Sea. Turtle came to the Surface of the Water & gave her a Place to Land. She nested & Laid her Cosmic Egg, From which came all Life on Earth.” [SOURCE: Cherokee Astrology: Animal, Medicine in the Stars, Raven Hall]

The Aztec Day Sign Ollin (Ah-lin), simply known as Movement, meaning to “Move and Act Now with ALL your Heart.”

Mother Earth embraces us in Her movement. Our effort is to go with the Flow. Earth/CABAN is said to move us beyond negative thoughts and behaviors. We can look to the Beauty of Nature preparing to go within. We are given a second wind, to rise above the scrapes we’ve won and the dirt on our knees. This is our last day, our last push, to reach the end of a climb of Spiritual Growth. We have the power of Momentum to magnify our final effort of a new Spiritual Harvest.

We’ve reached the new height of a season. Rich with the Wisdom of Experience, we are preparing to draw our new Light within.

This has been a challenging trecena. A few others have reported the same symptoms… tired and a little out of sync. There was a day when I realized I wasn’t going to accomplish anything. It was a wise decision to just accept it and care for myself in the interest of tomorrow. Sometimes, I think if I’m not busy, something must be wrong.

The Road/EB trecena has presented us with an Intention to walk in the Integrity of our Power and Authority. We have been building on the Success of the Storm/CAUAC trecena that brought us Spiritual Renewal. We are building Strength upon Inner Strength that will be returned to us through the Intervention of Divine Agency. Today we are beginning to see what we could accomplish.

The Tzolk’in marks the waves of energy in Human’s Journey. We can see that Mother Earth exists in Balance. When we let go, Mother Earth can draw us into sympathy with the natural highs and lows that are the vibrations of her movement. When we see a wave coming, we can ride it for all its worth.

Today is the wave we’ve waited to come in. If we just start the first thing, we look up to discover a day full of accomplishments. We have 6 of Flow, Earth/CABAN’s Movement, the Peak Energy of Momentum, and the forecast for a positive attitude.

Like an Earthquake, Earth can shake us to our Senses. The Aztecs define this as a day when Human is able to see what they are becoming. A pattern of movement is defining its own natural course.  Earth/CABAN holds the vital force of energy for transmutation. Earth has the power to transform a Seed. When our bodies are in contact with Mother Earth, we receive a transmutation of Healing Energy and Vibration.

To all my relations, may we offer a Blessing to Mother Earth for her movement that always brings a new Sunrise. May we see each day she gives us as a Sacred Event that holds a Divine Meaning and Purpose. May we observe the signs in Nature that we know are Right and Good and remember they mirror our own cycles of energy.  May we give thanks for the Blessing of Peak Energy and Momentum and use it to Invest in our Future. May we Go for a Dream with ALL our Heart.

6 Earth/CABAN (Cherokee, Heron/GUWI’SGUWI)

Galactic Tone 6: Six is responsiveness and the art of negotiation. It is the movement of volume through space that creates time. This energy in action is like the art of dance or a great athlete in motion. Six facilitates dynamic developments in all aspects of life.

Earth/Caban: Earth/Caban: Keeper of the garden of Earth. Profound synchronistic connections to Earth’s natural cycles and energies provide power of creations and memories of ancient wisdom. Earth persons help dispel bad intentions, habits and ideas. This makes them very good counselors and masters of all arts. Studious and intelligent, Earth persons endeavor to bring a flow of natural order to all aspects of life. Being connected to the dynamic forces of nature, Earth persons need much liberty to facilitate their expression of migration or the sending of long distance communications such as the whales, elephants, birds and many other creatures. Sometimes Earth’s delicate sensitivities are upset resulting in quakes of emotion even the display of volcanic temper.

Cherokee, Heron/GUWI’SGUWI: Sign of movement, of perpetual motion, recycling, regeneration; environmentalists fighting for the underdog. Heron is mentally alert, rational, yet opinionated; has a great faith in people and in the divine plan, holding the magic of ministry, medicine, marketing and matchmaking; healing abilities, especially with crystals; negotiation and mediation energy. Heron is symbolized by Deneb, located in the Northern Cross beside the Milky Way.

“The Northern Cross is the Tree of Life, Beside the Milky Way River & Perched atop is Guwi’ sguwi, the Cherokee Heron Spirit Bird, comparable to the Egyptian Phoenix. One Myth has it that a Beautiful Young Maiden (the Heron Spirit Bird) fell from the Tree of Life in the Sky Vault, & Found no Place to Land on the Primordial Sea. Turtle came to the Surface of the Water & gave her a Place to Land. She nested & Laid her Cosmic Egg, From which came all Life on Earth.” (Cherokee Astrology: Animal, Medicine in the Stars, Raven Hall)

  1. Dreams have been super lately! Great idea – Also, I was driving a friend across the US and I decided to do a mayan chart. We found we had the exact lay out How common is this – and if rare, what’s up with that !!? Love your blog, thank you! Muluc/ Aj

    • I’ve been dreaming a lot. That’s quite a synchronicity with your friend. I’ve only met one person with my natal birthday (in grade school). It’s slightly more likely with a 260-day year, but I wouldn’t expect to find out I was traveling with them. :)) It would be interesting to consider the purpose you have in common… and the Day Signs of people around you both. Thanks for sharing the path here. in lak’ech, Debra
