MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
Every trecena is a Journey of Transformation that builds on the accomplishment of the last trecena. We Ascended from a trecena led by Storm/CAUAC, the Day Sign that offers a Regeneration of Spirit. The Road/EB trecena guides us to our next Ascension by applying our new Inner Strength.
Tone 8 begins the process of our Transformation with the help of Divine Agency. Storm/CAUAC returns in a position of exaltation as the Day Sign that presented us with the New Horizon for Spiritual Growth. 8 Storm/CAUAC helps us remember where we started so we can begin to see the progress of our new Journey. Our Transformation to Higher Consciousness is the manifestation of Awareness of our Spiritual Evolution. The Road/EB trecena reveals our change through an experience of application.
Tone 8 holds the Intention of the Justice of Harmony and Equity. A new Transformation will be the Divine Return for our application of effort. 8 Storm/CAUAC offers a Renewal of Spirit to elevate the Truth of our Connection to Divine Spirit.
Storms empower our Instinct to return to the safety of Home. Turning to the Power within, we discovered we were capable of more than we thought we were. We learned by experience how to overcome the Illusion of Powerlessness. CAUAC is a symbol of “lightning in the blood.” We can experience a Sixth Sense of our Unbridled Freedom to rise to any challenge.
We are raised up by new Truth that we are working within a Divine Collaboration. There is a Power Greater than Our Self that is ever-present for Divine Support. Every experience is Free to Be. We can Know how it’s possible for One Person to make a difference. When we Choose to walk with the Creator, we are never alone and are Blessed by Divine Intervention.
CAUAC is said to have a great capacity to both teach and learn. Our difficult tests and storms of emotion are no less worthy than our experience of Joy. Our challenges can enrich our lives. Motivated to turn to Spirit, our Senses are raised to an Almighty Presence.
CAUAC brings the Blessing of Rain and Lightning that nourishes Mother Earth. Storm is associated with the cycles of the moon, related to the feminine aspects of creation. The Divine Feminine holds the energy of Compassion, Service, and Divine Discernment. We are given new capacity to Love Ourselves, Others, and all our Experiences of Living, exactly as they are. No matter what danger we face, the Creator has already made a Way. Though Storm may change the landscape of our lives, the strongest parts of us will thrive as we draw upon Divine Intervention. This is an offering of Divine Justice that is Intended for every Human.
CAUAC is a day when the Maya offer prayers for clairvoyance and mental clarity. Representing Water, the Element that holds the Ether of Divine Spirit, CAUAC is a day for Holy Baptism and Purification in the Sacred Intention of Unity.
To all my relations, may we Know that the Creator accounted for every experience of living. Through the help of Divine Agency, every Darkness will be Transformed into Light. The experiences we might judge as unworthy can be recognized for the Divine Blessings they hold. We can finally be free from the limitations as we better understand the Justice of a Divine Creator. May we retreat to our sanctuary within to discover a new Sense of Freedom. May we give thanks for Lightning of Spirit that connects Heaven and Earth, and Unites Body and Soul.

8 Storm/CAUAC (Cherokee, Redbird/TOTSU’HWA)
Galactic Tone 8: Justice. Harmony and balance are the intent of Eights carefully weighs all evidence to reach a balance of justice. Eight is the power of organization demonstrated in the statement ‘as above, so below,’ from simplicity to infinity, the energy of eight organizes all levels of creation, some eights are ‘neat freaks.’
Storm/Cauac: Day of the blessing of rain, giver of all life and lightening, a gift of nitrogen to Mother Earth and ozone to Father Sky. Cauac is also associated with the moon and the cycles of the moon, which are the meter of the feminine aspect of creation. The essence of Storm is the feeling of unity, security and warmth experienced in the home while the tempest of trouble rages in the world outside. Perpetually youthful, Storms exist to experience the ecstasy of freedom. They have the great capacity to both learn and teach. Their constant quest for novel experiences often leads to difficult tests and storms of emotion. Looking at these difficulties for the lessons they indeed are, will enrich our lives rather than destroy. Cauac individuals teach much through their electricity of being. Lightning energizes earth, this same energy energizes humans. Divine connections can be accessed.
Cherokee, Redbird/TOTSU’HWA: Redbird’s symbol is Alcyone of the Pleiades Star in constellation Taurus. Alcyone is the Central Sun of the Universe, heart of heaven. Lightning is the visible evidence of the presence of Redbird Spirit in the Sky, daughter of the Sun Spirit, sign of Fire, Sun’s alter ego on Earth. Redbird is a feminine sign; the hand that rocks the cradle. The symbol of nurturing, the lightning nurtures and energizes, with energy for zest, curiosity, imagination, and ideas. Lightning adds spiritual force to the human by way of “lightning of the blood” of a healer, directly body to body vibration. The key to spiritual communication and access to the wisdom of the Ancestors lies in the ability to bestir the blood to speak. Sacred stones such as flint, obsidian, crystal are created by lightning striking the ground.
