5 Eagle / MEN – Witness to a Miracle: Day 5 of 13

MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL

5 Eagle / MEN

Greetings Kin,

Tone 5 offers the Power to Create our Dreams. Number 5 resides at the Center of the cube. In acknowledging the 4 directions of the East, South, West and North, the 5th direction lies within as the center from which everything is created.

5 is the intelligent, organizing force that manages the application of our Monkey/CHUEN Power of Creation. 5 gathers what is needed to Create, through a process of investigation.

Eagle/MEN is the Day Sign of the Intermediary who raises us up for a heavenly view. Eagle is a Day Sign whose success is empowered by it’s ability to see into the distance of the future.

The Eagle is capable to see its next meal from over a mile away. It doesn’t catch its meal by hovering near it at close range. Locking its vision on the thing it wants, it takes off, relying on instinct and intuition to guide its course to the thing it focuses upon. Eagle/MEN shares a long-range guidance system made possible by Spiritual Vision. Guiding the Intention of Tone 5, Eagle makes creation possible by locking in on the destination of our Intention.

As an Intermediary of Spiritual Vision, Eagle/MEN raises us up to see our Creation through the Eyes of the Creator. From the Up Above we are able to see something we can’t see from the Down Below. Human’s Divine Power of Creation requires a Visual Discernment. When an Eagle locks into its destination, it doesn’t question its ability to get there. It Knows it will arrive.

The Eagle is a symbol of High Hopes and Aspirations. The highest aspiration of a Supreme Creator was that Human would Create the Light to Heal the Whole.

The Jaguar, the shaman, uses its Vision to travel to any place in time. In the process of healing from a distance, the shaman clearly imagines it is presence in the place where the healing will take place. Through the Vision of Spirit, there is no distance between them. The shaman visualizes exactly where Light is needed, and directs Light to it as a Divine Intention.

A shaman is one who has masters the Power of Creation. A powerful shaman is capable to produce a tangible experience between the Giver and the Receiver. One of the aspects that empowers a Spiritual Healing is a correspondence of Intention. While we are capable to send Light to any person or thing, our greatest power is engaged through the permission of the Receiver. When both the Giver and Receiver share the same Divine Intention for Creation, they engage through a network of Light along the direct route of an inner guidance system.

In an experience of working with a 3rd generation shaman, my greatest blessing was a palpable experience of shared consciousness. It was a Miracle of Light that went directly where it was needed. My consciousness was flooded with incoming inspiration. As I slept, I had the sensation of being Held by the Light to complete the healing through my unconscious thoughts.

Eagle/MEN reveals the Power of Being There. Eagle’s ability to grasp what it wants is born on a Visualization of the Manifestation of its Intention. It directs its vision to the future moment when the prize is securely within its grasp. It sees no distance between itself and thing it desires. Its vision is locked in to the Moment of Accomplishment.

Bald Eagle Fishing

To know the facility of this power we only need to investigate the ways of the Eagle. I am in awe of the way an Eagle can spot a fish swimming in water so far away, and then fly to the exact place and time of a moving target. It locks in the coordinates from an intuitive calculation of distance and movement. I wonder if it must imagine the precise moment when its talons reaches below the surface of the water to grasp the intended prize. It carries out the entire flight holding the vision of its Authority in that future moment. The flight of the Eagle proves the existence of an “every day” Miracle.

We can see Miracles in Nature all around us, if we look. Every creation reflects its own Miracle of Being. Even a seed knows its way to the Light, though it resides in total darkness. Birds of migration know exactly when and where to go. A salmon swims up stream with all its determination, drawn from a  Consciousness of the destination as the fulfillment of its life’s purpose. Miracles manifest outcomes that exceed the limitation of physical power.

We are crystallizing the vision of our own Power to Create. Miracles of Creation elevate our Consciousness to a Spiritual Connection between a Divine Giver and Divine Receiver. Our Power to Create is led by a Divine Intention. Atoned through the Intention of Divine Will, we are led by a Greater Power that helps to manifest a Shared Intention. Eagle demonstrates an Intuitive Guidance System to manifest a Miracle.

The Monkey/CHUEN trecena is leading a game of creation. Out of curiosity, the Monkey would investigate the facility of Eagle’s Power. We can experience the Miracle of Spiritual Navigation by imagining ourselves as already being in the place of our destination. We can define our own experiment by the Dream we Envision through Spirit. Instead of seeing our dream as something far off, we can position our Spirit right in the middle of it. Like an Eagle who might feel its feet hitting the water and the power of its grasp, we can imagine all the details of the experience of Our Own Miracle.

Eagle/MEN resides in the direction of the West, the place that represents our experience of living. This is the place where we acquire Wisdom born of Experience. The West calls a response from the Heart. On the Wings of the Eagle we can see beyond “right now” to the Miracle that lies in our future.

To all my relations, may we set the destination of our Highest Aspirations. May we trust the Instincts born through an Intention that is shared by the Creator.  May we give thanks for the unseen powers of every living thing. May we remember that Human was created with the Highest Facility of  Consciousness, so that we can Know that the Intuitive Instincts in Nature were Magnified in us. The most basic of ALL instincts is to be drawn to the Light. When we share this Intention with the Creator, we engage the Power of our Inner Guidance System. May we “lean not unto our own understanding” to know the Truth of our Power. May we discover our Power by witnessing the Miracles all around us.

in lak’ech, i am another you

21 DAYS of CEREMONY:  Day 5
Observing 21 days of Personal Sacred Ceremony is a traditional preparation for the K’iche Maya New Year, 8 B’atz (8 Monkey/CHUEN). The New Year is a celebration of Time, and the day of Initiation for the new Mayan Daykeepers. We are preparing for an initiation into a new way of being. We can employ the Magic of the Jaguar by observing these 21 Days in Gratitude.

Today I’m grateful to a Creator who designed a whole Universe with Consciousness to every detail, so that Every Thing reflects its own Special Miracle of Being. I’m grateful for the Gifts of Consciousness and Curiosity that lead me to the discovery. I’m grateful for Consciousness shared among living things… like my cat, Shadow, who Intentionally Demonstrates her Affection by brushing me with her tail as she walks by. I’m grateful that Witnessing a Miracle is never dependent on my being in the right place at the right time, but only on my Consciousness in any Moment. I’m grateful that we were offered a Lifetime to discover the Miracle Seeded within.

My Holiday Intention – I’m grateful for my Grandma Naomi who was always creating something. Her gifts were always simple, though they still hold the magic of being touched by her hands. This Christmas I don’t want to give the latest toy, gadget or article of clothing that would someday be discarded.  I’m drawn to old memories where Love was celebrated in advance through the Miracle of Creation. These are the gifts always worth keeping. They hold their value as an Expression of Love of the Receiver, created by the Giver.

5 Eagle/MEN (Cherokee, Eagle/UWO’HATLI)

Galactic Tone 5: Empowerment. At the center of the cube we find Five. Five is an intelligent, organizing force which manages communications and materials, knowledge and application. Fives are natural net workers who gather what is needed. These persons can probe directly to the core of any situation making them excellent investigators.

Eagle/MEN: Intermediary between Heaven and Earth. Due to the Eagles superior point of view and keen intelligence, they achieve material abundance and good fortune. A messenger gifted with patience and a deep sense of value, Eagle brings hope and trust on the wings of Spirit. Eagle persons are very detail oriented and technically inclined. Compassionate service to others sustains prosperity for Eagle personas as the flapping of wings would sustain their bird brothers. If Eagle becomes viciously competitive or possessive, greed and jealousy cause a fall from the heights. Eagles, being blessed with freedom of movement, should be aware of escapism. Eagles may be tempted to just fly away from troubles by using indulgences.

Cherokee, Eagle/UWO’HATLI: Eagle’s symbol is Mars the Spirit Warrior. He is a minion of Grandfather Moon. Eagles were the warrior society, the braves the protectors of the nation. Women were included. There was no discrimination which is reflected in the language: third person singular is divided into animate, human and animate, not human instead of he and she. The energy of high hopes and anticipations, dreams and visions, cosmic consciousness and commitment. On earth, a provider of excellence, leader, husbandry, care-taking of others, financial security and inheritance.

[Text in italics was the primary source of inspiration for my journal. These are the sources that started my journey and they are the reference for interpretation each day. By providing the original text, I hope to offer a way to see what inspired my thoughts and by including all the aspects – allow for something more to inspire you. Mayan descriptions are those written by Ian Lungold. Cherokee descriptions came from multiple sources.
