MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
Tone 6 brings the Intention of Flow. We’ve been stabilized and empowered to harness momentum for forward movement. The energy of Tone 6 is compared to a great athlete in motion. Tone 6 is a Peak Day for Performance in the upward climb of new Spiritual Growth.
Wisdom/CIB connects us to the Wisdom of our Ancestors. The Old Ones evidence that Wisdom is Acquired through our direct experience. As a Yellow Day Sign of the South, CIB can complete an understanding through our Relationships that will fuel our Passion.
The glyph is an illustration of the Mind in its Highest State of Consciousness. CIB reminds us that our Highest Consciousness is dependent on a Spirit of Forgiveness. Only through the release of our resentments are our minds Open to Receive and Connect with Higher Wisdom.
CIB is the Guardian of Universal Consciousness. The sum of all Wisdom is Guarded by the Old Ones. When we see the veiled knowledge of the most secret ancient teachings, we are seeing one of ways our Ancestors preserved Spiritual Knowledge. The Old Ones didn’t leave the Answers to the Divine Mysteries, but only Spiritual Principles upon which we could discern our own answers.
No one else can tell us the Truth. We can believe in a theory. Though, the real Truth we can stand on comes from our own revelation of Truth. The Wisdom of the Old Ones is that we can only Know the Creator through forgiveness. Unforgiveness stands in the way of our Faith. We can’t have Faith in OUR Forgiveness unless we Forgive Others.
Forgiveness is an Act of Divinity. Believing in the Existence of a Divine Consciousness, our first Truth is that there is something Greater than Our Self. We prove that we are Forgiven, through Forgiveness.
There was injustice inflicted during childhood and adolescence by my older sister. I was damaged as the family scapegoat. A few years ago, I wrote a letter and confronted her with my feelings. I asked her if our parents would go to their graves never knowing all the things I was punished for that I didn’t do. Instead of getting an acknowledgement or apology, I received a card saying, “I’ll be praying for you.” I could no longer bear to have anything to do with her. I so wanted a big sister as a friend when I grew up.
I disconnected. I asked to be taken off the annual Christmas letter that detailed their family accomplishments. My state of unforgiveness hung over me like a dark cloud. I couldn’t see a way to forgive without accepting total humiliation. It was a time of darkness and a total lack of consciousness. Fear ran wild as none of my spiritual tools seemed to work. As part of my last-ditch effort to pull myself out of depression, I forgave her. I dropped the whole issue and sent a card saying I was sorry for the hard feelings between us.
Such a weight was lifted from me. Suddenly, I knew there was nothing between me and God’s Grace. I didn’t experience humiliation. In Humility I experienced a moment of Divinity.
Tone 6 brings Momentum to establish a way of movement. Wisdom/CIB teaches us that our Faith in our own Divinity is only possible when we forgive.
We are not authorized to impose our justice on others. The Justice of Harmony and Equity can only be enforced by an Omnipotent Consciousness. We never know the fears of another that motivate their behavior. We can’t compare our experience to theirs. We don’t have to agree to understand.
The “simple” adjustment is to redirect our focus from what needs to be changed in the world to what needs to be changed in us. We are the subject of our own Unlimited Power.
The lines are open for us to call on the Old Ones. They are special and different from the Counsel of the Creator, because they once traveled the “hard road of life.” The Christ Spirit volunteered to share the burdens of the whole world. When we forgive, we volunteer to be the Light.
To my all my relations, may we give thanks to the Ancestors who were willing to make a sacrifice for forgiveness. May we Honor their example for showing the Way. May we rise to our own occasion to carry on an Intention for the Greater Good of the Whole. May we offer a gift of our Forgiveness as a Healing to others and to our Self. May we release our resentment of those who think differently than we do, and redirect our attention to inspect the fear that caused our response of resentment. May we learn to walk, casting aside our sorrow, and volunteering to do the Holy Work of Forgiveness.

21 DAYS of CEREMONY: Day 6
Observing 21 days of Personal Sacred Ceremony is a traditional preparation for the K’iche Maya New Year, 8 B’atz (8 Monkey/CHUEN). The New Year is a celebration of Time, and the day of Initiation for the new Mayan Daykeepers. We are preparing for an initiation into a new way of being. We can employ the Magic of the Jaguar by observing these 21 Days in Gratitude.
Today I’m grateful for the Peace that comes from forgiveness, and grateful for those who have forgiven me. I’m grateful for the Power to Choose Forgiveness.

6 Wisdom/CIB (Cherokee, Owl U’GUKU’)
Galactic Tone 6: Six is responsiveness and the art of negotiation. It is the movement of volume through space that creates time. This energy in action is like the art of dance or a great athlete in motion. Six facilitates dynamic developments in all aspects of life.
Wisdom/CIB: The old ones. Wisdom of the ancients. Wisdom persons are aligned with the ancient memories that wait in the stone of temples and sacred sites all over the world. Wisdom people grow luck like a crop using a balance of prudence and tenacity. The tremendous inner strength of this sign enables silent introspection to discover areas of oneself that contain wisdom more valuable than any trove of archaeological treasure. Wisdom persons are valiant defenders of family and community. They may become hardened to life and sentiment turned cold. In these cases, they need much forgiveness for their uncaring errors. Periodically connecting with nature and or visiting sacred sites will bring great stability to wisdom persons. A good day to sit on a rock.
Cherokee, Owl U’GUKU’: Symbol is the Owl is Arcturus, the brightest Star in the Constellation Bootes. The Cherokee Bear constellation (Ursa Major) includes the Big Dipper plus four stars in Bootes. Owl is a hunter, who stands for the wisdom and ability of all great hunters, the cunning of a fox, the tenacity of a bulldog and strength of a bear. Energy for deep thinkers, strong-willed, rigid convictions, bold and authoritative. Owl is the Mystic Ferryman who guides Earthlings on the return path to the stars holding the torch aloft.
