MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
Tone 4 brings stability for the new Spiritual Growth ahead. 4 symbolizes the cube, the most stable of forms, representing 4 dimensions and 4 directions. Tone 4 establishes boundaries, parameters, and orientation. Like a board game, 4 establishes the “rules of the game.”
Storm/CAUAC is the Day Sign that reflects our way of stability for our next climb, by showing us the place to turn to for the strength of our foundation. CAUAC is a sign of Renewal and Regeneration. Like the lightning of Storm that makes the connection between Heaven and Earth, Storm illustrates the magnetic connection that exists between ourselves and the Creator. Lightning is not bound by any direct path, but can find its way in or around anything that lies between us.
CAUAC reminds us of the Lightning Power within. Our “Force of Nature” is a connection of Shared Consciousness. Our “Sense of Truth” is shared through the mind of the Creator. We can find renewal and generation by acknowledging our Sixth Sense as Truth shared from above.
4 Storm/CAUAC brings the comfort of home. Within, we can connect to the Unbridled Power of Spirit.
Just as the Human experience of a storm turns us to home, so does CAUAC turn our Consciousness within. CAUAC guides us to call on our own Inner Compass. Today our “Consciousness of the Connection” is magnified through a renewal of Spiritual Energy. Recharged by Spirit, our Senses are amplified so we can crystallize the “Feeling” of our Sixth Sense. It’s a day of “lightning in the blood.”
We can maintain a steady course by getting in touch with these feelings. We may yet know our end destination, but we do have the sense to turn left or right whenever we come to a crossroad. When we follow an Intention to turn to Spirit at a fundamental level we will know the best direction to take. Making a conscious discernment allows us to move forward grounded by a purpose.
CAUAC teaches us that our direction is meant to be “self-guided.” When we apply our Spirit Consciousness, we aren’t caught up in the rules of the world, the latest trend, or any outer “school of thought.” We consciously make our own decisions. We have faith in our self and what we see as best for the highest good of all.
There are many ways to accomplish the same thing. When we follow our Inner Guidance, we’ll be required to walk in Faith. Our way from Point A to B, like lightning, may not follow a direct path. What we might consider a “wrong turn” could be the very experience that’s needed to accelerate our Spiritual Growth. When our Intention is to follow Divine Guidance, by nature of our choice to surrender to Divine Will, we can always discern that we are where we are supposed to be. Accepting where we are as a Divine Intention, we would stop to look around. We’d naturally look to find the deeper meaning of why we found ourselves here, and what we are given to learn.
Using our inner guidance system we can overcome our Human Nature’s assessment of a failure. We can rely on the purity of the Intention. If the result of our effort doesn’t “measure up” to our Human standards of success, we can still assume an accomplishment of Spirit. We can consider a Truth that direction discerned as serving the Highest Good, will ultimately lead to our highest outcome. Even when we’re unable to “see” it yet, we can count stand on Faith that the Creator knew the rightness of our Intention.
Do you believe that the Creator “Knows” when you consciously choose the “wrong” action? If we take a closer look we could identify that our Human Conscious of “right and wrong” is the strongest of all our Spiritual Gifts of Knowing. As we struggle to accept that we are among the “gifted,” we overlook the proof that is right in front of us. We are always able to discern the difference between our “higher” and “lower” choices. We couldn’t be more aware of it, while being unconscious of it. This “gift” is so obvious to every Human we all relate to a common illustration of the “devil” on one shoulder, and the “angel” on the other. We know it, but do we consider the Source? Do we see it as a Direct Line to the Creator? Even if we try to ignore it, we can’t make it go away.
Herein lies a Truth we can stand on. “The Creator is always with us, always offering us a Divine Direction.” Acknowledging our most basic Spiritual Gift, we can imagine that we are also blessed with even greater Spiritual Gifts of Knowing. Whether we call it our conscious or claim it as a direct connection to Spirit, either way we have proof of at least one “supernatural” gift of Knowing.
To all my relations, may we turn within to acknowledge the “specialness” of the gift of our own conscious. May we acknowledge it as “supernatural,” something beyond our Human understanding. May we acknowledge the Divinity of the Gift, offered equally to every Human. Even those who seem to have no moral compass, have only become adept at ignoring it. May we see how Unconditional Love always holds the gift open as long as we are alive to make the choice. If we were to define even one person as unworthy, we could find a reason why, we too, are not enough. May we see that our “conscious” is not a source of judgement, but a Gift of Knowing.

4 Storm/CAUAC (Cherokee, Redbird/TOTSU’HWA)
Galactic Tone 4: Stability; the cube is most stable of all forms and establishes volume by definition of height, length, depth and breadth; 4 directions establish orientation. The energy of 4 sets the parameters, which establish the freedoms and barriers needed to create a game, work, or relationship.
Storm/Cauac: Day of the blessing of rain, giver of all life and lightening, a gift of nitrogen to Mother Earth and ozone to Father Sky. Cauac is also associated with the moon and the cycles of the moon, which are the meter of the feminine aspect of creation. The essence of Storm is the feeling of unity, security and warmth experienced in the home while the tempest of trouble rages in the world outside. Perpetually youthful, Storms exist to experience the ecstasy of freedom. They have the great capacity to both learn and teach. Their constant quest for novel experiences often leads to difficult tests and storms of emotion. Looking at these difficulties for the lessons they indeed are, will enrich our lives rather than destroy. Cauac individuals teach much through their electricity of being. Lightning energizes earth, this same energy energizes humans. Divine connections can be accessed.
Cherokee, Redbird/TOTSU’HWA: Redbird’s symbol is Alcyone of the Pleiades Star in constellation Taurus. Alcyone is the Central Sun of the Universe, heart of heaven. Lightning is the visible evidence of the presence of Redbird Spirit in the Sky, daughter of the Sun Spirit, sign of Fire, Sun’s alter ego on Earth. Redbird is a feminine sign; the hand that rocks the cradle. The symbol of nurturing, the lightning nurtures and energizes, with energy for zest, curiosity, imagination, and ideas. Lightning adds spiritual force to the human by way of “lightning of the blood” of a healer, directly body to body vibration. The key to spiritual communication and access to the wisdom of the Ancestors lies in the ability to bestir the blood to speak. Sacred stones such as flint, obsidian, crystal are created by lightning striking the ground.
