MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
On the Peak Tone 7 we’ve completed a new climb of Spirit where our effort is Balanced for a Divine Reciprocity. Based on the Spiritual Principle of “As Above, So Below,” an effort of Spirit is balanced by a creation below.
7 is the Tone of Reflection, an Intention to look back over the experience to see where our Intention has led us. We can look back at an Offering that was made to use our Spiritual Gifts for a worthy purpose, to change our everyday lives, and to create a new Blessing for the Whole.
Our Inspiration was to Offer our Self, our Time, and our Consciousness to live in our Spiritual Nature. MULUC is helping us see how Forgiveness is the Light we could bring as the Gift to Heal the suffering of Humanity. When we “forgive as an offering” we are Atoned with the Creator, and giving the gift that was marked as Human’s Salvation.
Eagle/MEN is the Intermediary who carries us to the heavenly realm for a Divine Perspective. As we reflect on the effort of our Intention, we are given a way to see how it looks from Above.
On Earth our experience included the “daily grind.” One of our difficulties in seeing our own Transformation is that one day can look very much like another. Transforming our Human Nature can take a lifetime. There will be many days the changes are indiscernible. We may even think we’re losing ground as we experience the chaos of change. From Above our accomplishment can be seen. It wasn’t how far we advanced, but how much effort we applied. The effort, not the result, is the real measure of our accomplishment.
We see how this Truth supports the Divine Justice of Harmony and Equity. No matter our disabilities and disadvantages, we are equally capable of a Spiritual Effort. We were all created to fulfill a Meaning and Purpose of the Highest Value.
From up above, we can see how much we need Forgiveness to move forward. We can also see how others have made the sacrifice for us, if we can see we take more than we give. Our gift of forgiveness doesn’t put us ahead, but only helps us to even the score. Only down our knees in Humility, can we see where we were the first offender.
Like children who justify bad behavior through the claim, “They did it first,” it’s easy to blame our own offenses on the offenses of others. From a Higher Perspective, we can see ourselves as the first one to cause the problem, through a lack of forgiveness. From a Higher Perspective we can see that we add as much misery to the world by taking offense as we do in giving it.
Our Human ego attempts to “even the score” by holding others accountable. Our Spiritual Nature is to Heal the world by building one another up, instead of tearing down. Forgiveness is a gift of Freedom to Change instead of “cast into a mold.”
We long to be seen as we really are. “To See” others is an effort of Understanding. There is no reason we can’t understanding, even when we don’t agree. We decide our own Truth in the world. We are billions of different reflections of the One.
We can also see with a 360 view how hard the journey was for us. So, we can assume it is also hard for others. Those who can bring Unconditional Love and Understanding are needed now. We may be the drink of water in a dry desert for someone else. I’ve noticed that since I’ve started asking friends for their energy report, others who know I follow the Tzolk’in, always seem happy to talk about something they have been “feeling” or “knowing.” It isn’t a conversation they normally share. I remember how self conscious I used to be about my eccentricity. Dare I share myself and they know how out-on-a-limb I really am. 🙂 I think to See Others, we may have to let Our Self Be Seen. We can make a sacrifice to be vulnerable, if that’s what it takes to Stand in our Truth. We can forgive anyone who doesn’t understand.
Humanity longs for love and recognition. We try, through material possessions to be seen by the world. Kneeling at an altar we are always seen in our Brightest Light.
Eagle/MEN is able to see the future from a distance. If we looked at the Blessing of our Forgiveness far into the future, we might see a gathering of Eagles. Through our Forgiveness we share the vision that ALL are equally worthy to claim the prize.
The Eagle grasps the prize by looking at its pray from far away. It doesn’t calculate the distance or wind speed. It focuses in on what it wants and just takes off, intuitively calculating the way. An Eagle can see for over a mile away. We are called to look into the future to grasp our Divine Destiny. We can reflect on our Intention being Balanced from the Above to the Below.
To all my relations, may we bear witness to the Miracle that lies in our future. May we take off, without the worry of how we will get there, but believe that a Higher Spirit will see us through. May we reflect on the Truth that we are ALWAYS Blessed. May we live life being our Self, so it is possible to be Seen. May we receive a gift of High Hopes and Aspirations.
in lak’ech, i am another you

7 Eagle/MEN (Cherokee, Eagle/UWO’HATLI)
Galactic Tone 7: Reflective. Seven stands as a mirror to divide light and dark and to reflect all that is and is not. Seven is associated with the source of creation and the flow of Divine Will. With a keen sense of ethics, Seven establishes purpose to current and future goals.
Eagle/MEN: Intermediary between Heaven and Earth. Due to the Eagles superior point of view and keen intelligence, they achieve material abundance and good fortune. A messenger gifted with patience and a deep sense of value, Eagle brings hope and trust on the wings of Spirit. Eagle persons are very detail oriented and technically inclined. Compassionate service to others sustains prosperity for Eagle personas as the flapping of wings would sustain their bird brothers. If Eagle becomes viciously competitive or possessive, greed and jealousy cause a fall from the heights. Eagles, being blessed with freedom of movement, should be aware of escapism. Eagles may be tempted to just fly away from troubles by using indulgences.
Cherokee, Eagle/UWO’HATLI: Eagle’s symbol is Mars the Spirit Warrior. He is a minion of Grandfather Moon. Eagles were the warrior society, the braves the protectors of the nation. Women were included. There was no discrimination which is reflected in the language: third person singular is divided into animate, human and animate, not human instead of he and she. The energy of high hopes and anticipations, dreams and visions, cosmic consciousness and commitment. On earth, a provider of excellence, leader, husbandry, care-taking of others, financial security and inheritance.
[Text in italics was the primary source of inspiration for my journal. These are the sources that started my journey and they are the reference for interpretation each day. By providing the original text, I hope to offer a way to see what inspired my thoughts and by including all the aspects – allow for something more to inspire you. Mayan descriptions are those written by Ian Lungold. Cherokee descriptions came from multiple sources. Links to sources and other resources of study are offered on the Daykeeper Resources Page.
