MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
Today we Ascend from the MULUC trecena. On a Day of Ascension, we see ourselves differently. We have graduated from the Higher Learning of Wisdom/CIB, to imagine the Wisdom we might draw from a personal experience. MULUC offered an in-pouring of Light that would make it possible to Die to our life in the world, to be Born into a new Life in Spirit.
13 Crocodile/IMIX guides a way of Communion with the Creator through our imagination. 13 is the number of theurgy, Human’s ability to draw Divine Intervention into Human affairs through ritual and sacred ceremony. Crocodile/IMIX is our primordial Mother who was present at our Creation. IMIX is the beginning of all things, and the day of a new Dawning.
12th Uinal: 13 IMIX begins the 12th Uinal of Understanding. For the next 20 days the Wisdom we’ve gained over this Tzolk’in round will move from the Head to the Heart. IMIX opens our Heart to an Understanding that our only limit is our Imagination.
IMIX is the Day Sign that speaks through our Imagination, sending wild ideas and random thoughts out of the blue. This is a day to listen to our thoughts and take note of the ideas we receive, even if they seem totally unrelated or even a little crazy. These will be thoughts that are not fully formed. They can help break through our reasoning mind’s train of thought.
IMIX is the Mother of Invention, a Day Sign of Innovation. She helps us tap in to the “genius” of our imagination. We have to be willing to be a little “crazy” to imagine something that has never existed before… crazy like Einstein who’s “work” was staring off into space, imagining a beam of light. IMIX helps us see that the Imagination is the source of our genius.
Through Higher Consciousness, we’re capable to imagine more than we could before. No longer bound by the rules of the world, we have nothing to fear. Our new “I Am” was born through an Offering to live for a Divine Purpose. No matter what we accomplish, from now on the effort will be our achievement.
Awakened by the voice of Crocodile/IMIX, the Divine Mother of Compassionate Love, she is present to celebrates the Choice we’ve made. She holds the “motherly instinct” that sees the fulfillment of a Dream she held for us. Our Ascension is her reward.
Awakening to a New “I Am,” we see the new generation of our Self, sharing the experience as a “Mother of Creation.” Today we have the Wisdom to look into our Mother’s eyes to acknowledge the sacrifices and injustice she bore as the one who was in charge.
Today we celebrate the incoming of new and Higher Dreams – the best we can imagine. At a new summit we can see all the directions we could go. Today is the “bittersweet” beginning before we take off on our own. IMIX reminds us she will always be there, as close as our Imagination. We will Know when she is thinking of us. She reminds us we’re the First Born Children of the Supreme Creator. IMIX’s gift is a parcel of Dreams with a note attached that says, “Create the One you Really Love.”
The Cherokee Day Sign of the Turtle represents “Turtle Island,” the land that emerged from the darkness of the void to raise us up to live in the Light. The Turtle embodies the energy of Creative Force at the one-on-one, personal level, bringing the dawn, an awakening an new birth. The Turtle offers us the vision to learn the mysteries of Universal Knowledge.
To all my relations, may we see how Blessed we are. May we honor Mothers, Grandmothers, Aunts, and Sisters, and anyone else who made a sacrifice and took on the duty of raising us up. May we give thanks for ALL who offer the Gift of Compassionate Love. May we consider the many sacrifices made that were so humble, they were never seen. May we see give thanks for Intentions that only God can see. May we see that our new Meaning and Purpose is the reward we bring her as an Offering that will Pay Back and Pay Forward. May we follow a trail of “wild ideas” to imagine a future more beautiful than we ever imagined before.
in lak’ech, i am another you

13 Crocodile/IMIX (Cherokee, Turtle/ DAK’SI I’SB)
Galactic Tone 13: Ascension; Thirteen assists us to go to the next higher step, propels us to try something new or to try again. Thirteen energy takes us over the next mountain just to see what is there. Thirteen carries the last success to the newest effort. Thirteen is a number associated with the Ascended Masters, creation, expansion, and manifestation.
Crocodile/IMIX: Crocodile receives messages of primal creative force; simply the beginning of all things. Crocodiles who follow their hearts are seen as genius. There is no order to the primal messages, so Crocodile persons should direct their energies toward practical and cooperative efforts to bring productive results. Crocodiles have a strong nurturing energy and will work hard to provide security to family and friends. Being extremely territorial, Crocodiles must watch not to be over protective or too dominating. While in these states, Crocodiles are insecure, indecisive and emotionally volatile.
Cherokee Turtle/ DAK’SI I’SB: Symbol, Turtle Island. Direction East. The Turtle Constellation Orion, one of three stars in the Cosmic Egg. In Mayan is the Cosmic Hearth. Energy of Creative force at the one-on-one, personal level; dawn, awakening, birth. The beginning of each new era, this star in Orion appears with the rising Sun, heralding the creation of a new World cycle. TOTEM Imix/Dragon – Energy to understand all things sacred. Creation energy, connection for visions to learn the mysteries of the Universal knowledge. The dragon carries the source energy of life, revered in ancient cultures for power and wisdom.
