DEDICATED TO IAN XEL LUNGOLD
The journal for the Offering/MULUC trecena is dedicated to Ian Xel Lungold. This is the Galactic Week of Ian’s Destiny Kin, 12 Sun/AHAU. Ian will be honored on my trip to the Yucatan in gratitude for my first introduction to the Mayan Calendar. Ian’s Destiny was to share the Light of Illumination (Sun/AHAU) for Divine Understanding (Tone 12). Thank you Ian!
My deepest Thanks and Appreciation are extended to Michael Shore who has preserved Ian’s wisdom on MayanMajix.com, and for being a friend and helper on my own path. Thank you Michael!
MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
Tone 3 is the first Day of Movement in the 13-day cycle of Creation. We bring Life to a new Vibration of Spirit through an Intention of Creation. Creating what we Love, we generate our own Vibration of Love that holds the Magic and Power to draw lower vibrations of consciousness into sympathy.
Our Creation is manifested in Spirit as we make our first movement toward it. It was created in our imagination and we draw it toward the world Below, when we Love what we see enough for our Human self to carry out the work.
Monkey/CHUEN is the Archetype of a Divine Creator. In the affinity between Dog and Monkey lies the central characteristics of a Divine Creator, we are extended the Vision to be a Creator of Love. As we see our own Power to Create Love, we are given a way to always be in Harmony with one another.
The only thing that ever stands in the way of Right Relationship is the illusion that Love isn’t possible. Once we take the responsibility and the Intention to Pay it Forward, we will Know that Love will Create our Most Abundant Harvest.
Unconditional Love Always Creates More Love. Like Mickey Mouse as the sorcerer’s apprentice in the Disney movie “Fantasia,” the Creation would overflow. The harvest would be so abundant we couldn’t give it all away.
2-DAY PORTAL DAY 2: Element of Ether – Portal days thin the veil to the realm of Spirit and magnify our Spiritual Gifts of Discernment. The affinity between Dog/OC and Monkey/CHUEN reflect the characteristics that are pivotal to a Major Life Change. 2 Dog/OC lifted the veil on Love. Given the Spiritual Consciousness to See it as an Opportunity, we are Inspired to Create it by 3 Monkey/CHUEN that guides us to take the first step toward Love to manifest the Creation.
Our greatest challenge in the Creation of Love is our broken heart, our own suffering for the want of Love. CHUEN brings the Power to Overcome this limitation through a Healing of our Emotions. We can be healed by the Monkey’s thirst for Knowledge and Understanding.
The Cherokee Day Sign, the Raccoon, is recognized as the friendly “trickster.” Like the Coyote, Monkey and Raccoon can share a perspective through their antics of friendly play. Together, they teach us to not take our Self and Life so seriously.
From the threads of our tapestry, Monkey sees all the Love we’ve received. “Is it REALLY that hard to forgive? Is it REALLY the end of the world when you don’t receive Love where you Give it?” We might argue that it feels that way when we’re rejected. “Silly Human. Why do you take things so personally?”
Monkey/CHUEN is the Weaver of Time. The glyph illustrates “time rolled up” on the head of the Monkey. We were born of a Creator that is the all-in-one. Given the Spark of Divine Consciousness, Human is Special. We’re the only Creation that can Time Travel. The Wisdom/CIB trecena taught us that all our experiences are greater than any archeological treasure. Our memory of Time and Experience is a treasure we can return to. We can transform and re-create the experience of any place and time. Even in our failure, we can discover the Love that was still behind it.
Monkey is the Master Artist that weaves Beauty into the tapestry of our lives. Monkey can rearrange the threads and the colors of our experience into the Beauty of Darkness being Transformed to Light. Monkey is said to never finish anything it starts, but keeps moving on (like the Dog) to the next opportunity for Beauty.
Monkey teaches us to approach life with curiosity. Our curiosity is the Answer to the healing of our Emotions. Through an intention to inspect things for a Deeper Understanding, we can discover how Interesting Humans really are. We can remove our self from the pictures that aren’t our own, and discover the Truth behind our experiences.
We do stuff for weird reasons. Human is silly enough to “play hard to get” for Love. One of the earliest blessings of the Tzolk’in was the window into the reasons why I do what I do. My best example was the way things began with this journal. The journal had to be written exactly on the day, no sooner than midnight. My workday starts at 7:00AM. So, it made sense to fly out of bed at 3:00AM every day for 3 months in time to get it done. I wondered how I would ever complete my commitment to 260 days.
It took me 3 months to discover the WordPress schedule feature, and the idea that I could write about any day at any time. Somewhere within a Consciousness and Curiosity opened new possibilities. The Greatest First Gift of Consciousness was discovering the rules and limits I place on myself, creating my own obstacles of Creation. Where did I get this rule? I wondered what other rules were directing me from unconscious thoughts. It was an awesome discovery. I found several silly rules, and have continued to find more. Only through the curiosity to inspect the threads of my experience, was I able to see threads that didn’t have to belong in my picture. Seeing how this one thread of thought changed my life so dramatically – because, finally, I could sleep through the night, and finally, I could believe in the possibility of carrying on with my creation – it was a Light that compelled me to look for more. (This same kind of Monkey business goes on in our relationships.)
I love to think of Monkey’s reaction to a new discovery… jumping up and down and making those funny screeching sounds.
The longer I’ve followed the calendar, the more ALL the Day Signs have become a member of my Pack. I’m more amazed at the Tzolk’in that leads a journey guided by so many different perspectives and ways to manifest a Creation of Happiness. The all-in-one is with us Every Day. We can shape-shift into Monkey any time we need a good laugh at our Self.
Monkey resides in the West, the place of our Unknown Experience. Holding the Element of Water, Monkey touches our Emotions and the Ether of Spirit that is held in the Water of our Being. Monkey guides us to “PLEASE, take another look at your emotions and see what you’re creating out of thin air.” Monkey connects our Intellect and our Intuition. We inherently Know through our Spiritual Gifts when something doesn’t line up in the experience we expect. It manifests as Confusion and leaves us with a Question. Why?
Monkey heals our emotions by leading us to explore our Questions, to seek answers within our Self. Presented with a question, “Why?” Monkey would stop everything it’s doing to jump to a new investigation. Monkey sees “Why” as an archeological treasure for discovery. Through Monkey’s Perspective, life becomes “Curiouser and Curiouser.” There’s an unlimited bunch of stuff to figure out… stuff close at hand inside our Self.
We could discover one silly Human trick after another in the reasons why we think things need to go a certain way. We limit our own opportunities for Love and Happiness, not even realizing its because of some idea that really doesn’t make any sense. The Monkey can lead us back to the source in our archeological treasure of experience. We might discover the rules we were forced to follow that never made any sense, but were perhaps enforced by some worldly authority. We accepted it as the Truth. As the Master of Time, we can go back for another discernment. We can go back and release our self from a Truth we wouldn’t choose today.
I grew up in a home with very strict rules. There was no allowance ever made for crossing the line of the rules, and no allowance at all for “reasons” based on the influence of emotions. Things were very black or white. I respected the Intention, but failed to see the error of judgement in the authority. Our lives aren’t black and white. Even the best rules can’t always be applied the same. Our Human emotions DO influence our ability to carry out our Highest Aspirations. When we are broken, we’re unable to stand in our integrity. If our Intention was to never be broken to be Loved, our own misery is the only Creation we’d ever manifest.
THANK GOD WE CAN MAKE MISTAKES AND STILL BE WORTHY OF LOVE!!! This is the door opened to our Happiness and Freedom to be. It’s easy to sacrifice our Ego and admit we were wrong, when we accept it as all part of the experience of transforming our own Darkness into Light. Monkey would tell us, “Failure is good for something. How could you fix a problem you didn’t see?”
Our Intention of Love is our own Salvation. By bringing Life to the Dream through Movement toward it, we have already shared with the Creator our True Intention, a Divine Choice that holds Authority over all our own failures. We have the Power to turn it around as a Creator. We dispel our darkness when we’re not afraid to expose our failure in the Light. When we employ the Consciousness of curiosity we can change it with the Light to figure out why we do what we do. We can see how we created the experience, which didn’t have anything to do with the person who was subject to our injustice. They only reminded us to look for a treasure within, a rule that defined an experience, and a rule that’s wholly our own choice to let go.
It’s funny if you think about it. When someone reacts to us in an unloving way, we can toss all our curiosity aside and the opportunity for Wisdom about our self and someone else. The last thing we want to do is draw out the Truth of the other person’s experience. In an effort to save our Self, we’re most likely to launch a defense of who we are. When we’ve offered up our ego to the Creator, we can see it as the great opportunity it really is, to Know Each Other Better and discover something about our Self that stood in the way, presenting an illusion that we didn’t care.
We don’t have to accept the blame to Understand. We can still stand on our own Truth. We don’t have to Understand someone else’s truth to understand the suffering caused by their perception of it. I’ve considered that every conflict that arises in the relationship between one Human and Another could ALWAYS be restored through the simple words, “I Understand.” We can even make some compromises within the Integrity of our own Truth, just to See and Acknowledge our own behavior that doesn’t effectively communicate our Intention of Love.
Monkey/CHUEN guides us to the Consciousness that we are an Authority of Creation. The choice of Love and Happiness is always ours to Create. We can maintain our authenticity and identity by making choices for our Self. We can allow our Love to lean toward one another in the Truth that we all unconsciously Dream of Love as an experience of being Seen and Acknowledged.
It reminds me of when my children were little. When I shared my truth to blank stares, I remember how I kept explaining – in a dogged Intention to see some Light of Awareness in their eyes. I “over-explained” my side. I wish I had been Conscious enough to be more curious and a better student of Child Psychology. (“You’re a Time Traveler. You can go back any time.”)
Shining a little more Love, we can awaken the curiosity in others. All we have to do is just keep standing in the Intention to Love and others will see Truth in our own demonstration of Love. The Power of Love will be the Authority that draws everyone in line, at least to the extent possible for a bunch of monkeys.
To all my relations, may we move forward in an Intention to Create Love through our own Curiosity. May we accept that by our own Human failings, the Creator’s exchange of Love is enough to out-weigh the Love we don’t get from another Human. When Love isn’t returned, may we see it as a Grand Opportunity to learn something new about Love. May we have the curiosity to look deeper so that we Create the Experience for someone else of being Seen and Acknowledged. Whether we are “right” or “wrong,” chances are, our conflict hinges on a faulty Human unconscious rule (ie. If they love me, they won’t ever do this). Remember how we can create unhappiness from thin air when we’re not paying attention to the thoughts that motivate our movement. May we look at the threads in the tapestry of our life where Love existed, but we didn’t look for it. When we take ourselves out of the the tapestry that belongs to someone else, we can Discern a Divine Service of Love. When we volunteer to See and Acknowledge, we Will Understand. The one thing Every Human is capable to Understand is the silly things we do for Love, like covering something up for fear of losing Love, then losing Love for being seen as “dishonest.” We could have figured that out. Seeing and Acknowledging one another with curiosity, we make a way for Forgiveness and the Reconciliation of Right Relationship. May the Dog and the Monkey side of our Self be drawn together. May they be the Pals in our Pack that we can turn to, on any day, for the Healing of our Emotions.

Ian Xel Lungold Article: “The Fall of us All” I wanted to share some of Ian’s thoughts with this trecena. When I saw this title I thought it might be relevant. (It blew me away in more ways than one.) In the article, Ian reflects on our perspectives and why we do what we do.

3 Monkey/CHUEN (Cherokee, Raccoon/KVH’LI)
Galactic Tone 3: Action. Three is basic movement and communication, which begins as a vibration. Three energy is very eloquent in all types of self-expression. Communication is how Three establishes a point of agreement between any point “A” and any point “B”. Three persons are rhythmic to the core and are often restless, as motion is their nature. By working closely with the energy of Three, any person becomes more able to predict motions of all kinds.
Monkey/CHUEN: Monkey is known to the Maya as the Weaver or Weaver of Time. Monkey takes ideas as threads of vines and weaves them into the fabric of our reality. New patterns or inventions are also woven into our lives by Monkey. Amiable, intelligent, generous and a jack of all trades, Monkey’s innocent curiosity leads to artistic expression and constructive solutions. Many Monkeys become highly respected merchants or speakers. They love performing practical jokes and crave attention, so much so that they may over-act or play the fool to get the spotlight. Monkeys have a short attention span and find it difficult to stay with anything long enough to master it.
Cherokee, Raccoon/KVH’LI: Racoon’s star symbol is Algol, a star in Perseus. Restless energy yearning for long-lost love. Algol was named DEMON STAR or MISCHIEVOUS ONE by the Ancients because it winks and fades at times. Raccoons are full of friendly mischief, eager to swap kisses for candy. Magnetic leaders, full of humor and gaiety. Favorite food is corn, the mainstay of the Cherokee. Very artistic while being the “masked bandit” who steals your heart. Totem Monkey: The energy of humor, the artisan and craftsmen of the Universal energy. Helps us to lighten up in all situations, was the glyph of the 4th world creation in conjunction with OC so that we would have humor in all of our endeavors. The humor, when added to a serious situation will allow you to have a less destructive pattern of resolution. This is the “Cosmic joke” energy to help us transcend the duality. A life path of comedian, actor, artist, artisan writer, satirist, any path is enhanced with this humor in conjunction with the creative energies.

UPDATE ON A LIFE DREAM: A DIVINE OFFERING
This is the Time and Place of a Miracle. It’s been my Dream to experience and see the place where the sacred traditions of the Maya are carried out, and where Ian Lungold was inspired to share the blessing of the Tzolk’in calendar.
Once it was a “dark” dream. I thought that only by having visited this place in person would I be validated to share my Tzolk’in experience. God had a Higher plan right where I am. I’m NOT a Mayan calendar expert. Mayan calendar academics are a far better source from which to learn the local traditions and cosmology of the Maya. I learned that the Tzolk’in was an equal opportunity. We don’t have to be a PhD to receive the calendar’s Blessing of Divine Consciousness. If I’d gone before, I might have attributed the Miracles to one place, instead of the Truth that the Miracle is within our grasp, wherever we are and wherever we’ve been.
There has also been a blessing in the delay of material changes in my life, so I could Know that no set of circumstances ever stands in the way of an Experience of Love and Happiness. I couldn’t imagine such a Dream when I started this journal in October 2015. In the darkness of despair, I felt I had outlived my purpose and it was already too late to make a difference.
You made this possible. My Dream now is to stand on Holy Ground with you. We are ALL on Holy Ground of Mother Earth. I invite you to take off your shoes on October 31st to stand on the same Holy Ground to share the Sacred Ceremony at Ek’ Balam.
I extend my deepest Appreciation to all of you. Those whose donations made a way, and those whose presence with me here are One in the Miracle of Believing it was possible. “Thank you” can’t express what I feel in my heart. all my love, Debra
