THE TRECENA OF REED/BEN: CREATING A SANCTUARY
The Next 13-Days…
Reed/BEN is the Guiding Light for Family and Home. Reed guides the creation of Harmony and Equity for all our Relations. Our Heart was called to the Highest Road, believing Love will create a Divine Way.
Reed/BEN holds the Element of Fire, a Divine Power that changes matter from one form to another. The Fire of Reed/BEN will change the “matters of Faith.” BEN holds the Intention to be a demonstration of Faith, on behalf of the children. BEN offers the Light to walk a path of personal integrity.
BEN is said to hold the Highest Expectations. BEN is the Light to believe in our own Faith and our own Prayers. BEN pours out the blessings with a “garden hose” – one that bends, instead of leading with a steel pipe. BEN’s Gift to share is to guide everyone to believe in their own prayers. BEN builds an altar in the home and the children follow.
BEN resides in the East, the Direction of Light and Inspiration for Life. The Element of Fire can burn away matters into pure energy. BEN can help us see the Substances of our Faith. The Reed represents the “hollow bone” that is the channel of Spirit between the Above and Below. To receive the Light all the flesh of the ego must be burned away.
BEN is the Guiding Light that ties the binds of Family and Belonging directly to the One Above. Every member has something Important to share. Reed/BEN reminds us how much we can learn from the children. Their Innocent Wisdom is a Guiding Light for Love.
TRECENA OF LIGHT
BEN guides a 13-day cycle of Incoming Inspiration. Holding the Element of Fire, BEN initiates a cycle of transmutation, changing the form of one thing into another. Family changes us. We take on multiple human identities as a Mother, Father, Sister, or Brother. Charity begins at Home with the Reed and extends to Chosen Family and sphere of influence. BEN can inspire us to take up a Cause. On Reed/BEN the Maya check in on their neighbors to lend a helping hand.
3RD & 4TH UINALS
In the 3rd uinal the Seed emerged into a new Life in the Light. We’re taking on the leaves of our identity. In the 4th uinal we’ll put down roots. Reed/BEN guides us to build the Sanctuary of Home, where faith can stand.
THE HAAB CALENDAR: THE WAYEB
The Haab calendar includes 19 months, 18 months of 20 days (numbered 0-19), and one month of 5 days (0-4), the last month of the year. The New Year is based on a zenithal Sun, accounting for different counts in the Northern and Southern hemisphere (as well as other regions). The 5 days of the Wayeb are known as the “nameless days.” This year the Wayeb begins on March 26, 2021 (5 Earth/CABAN, a day we know who we are, and Feel the clarion call to Live with all our Heart). The old Year Bearer moves on for the New Year Bearer to take its place. In the meantime, we’re on our own. The Maya observe the Wayeb as time to stay close to home, only leaving to check in on the neighbors. The Wayeb is a time to uphold the Truth we Believe, the Answers to our Prayers. We are completing the year 9 Earth/CABAN, a way of Life is “finished,” for a New Beginning. The Haab reflects Divine Intention on a Planetary Scale. We were given Time to learn Patience, to see the Bigger Picture. The New Year is guided by 10 Wind/IK. 10 hold the Intention of Manifestation. Wind/IK is the Breath of Life and the Breath of Spirit, the Power of the god Huracan, that can sweep through and change the landscape of our Life. IK is the Voice of the Supreme Creator. 10 Wind/IK is the Manifestation of Divine Justice. Wind/IK is known to lead cycles of turbulence. We have to break down an established order to create a whole new way. Chaos will be the Sign of Divine Justice and a Major Life Change. The Wayeb is created for us to Shine, to know our Faith has the legs to stand. K’inich Ahau beams the First Light of the New Year, March 31, 2021 (10 Wind/IK). The End is declared from the Beginning by the One who gave breath to creation. K’inich Ahaj is the “brightest Light” of the Sun… a Flash of Light we won’t forget to see the future.

COMPLETING THE FIRST SEASON
Our Ascension from the Reed/BEN trecena completes the first Season of the Tzolk’in on 13 Serpent/CHICCHAN. The last day of the cycle is the Guardian. The Ending defined from the Beginning is the Quickening of our Spirit, the Will for Love To Be. In Unity with the Creator we will realize Higher Gifts of Spirit.
Reed/BEN is a day to Bless or Repair the Home. The Maya acknowledge the extended family observing it as a day to check in on the neighbors. Reed/BEN’s guiding Light is a demonstration of belonging. Taking on the responsibilities of a family, BEN guides the way to walk the walk to an altar. BEN inspires the Mission of the Deer, guiding us to build an altar of Light for Home and Family.
BEN holds very High Expectations. To manifest their Light on Earth, BEN must hold itself accountable to its own Faith in Answered Prayers. BEN creates the Light by creating an altar where Love is always waiting as the experience. BEN doesn’t force a Way, but demonstrates the Power of having a way.
On Tone 1, we begin in Unity. The intention is to track the thoughts of Divine Inspiration. We will be inspired to create a life centered around the Dreams we Love. Reed/BEN guides the Dog’s way to create a pack where the whole has a Divine Place to Belong.
Through the Element of Fire, our passions can be stirred. The Elders say that when you feel the fires burning within, you are receiving an application of Divine Medicine. Sit with the fire and allow it to burn. Don’t rush to put it out without the PATIENCE to learn everything it means. Inspiration is intended to light a fire on Tone 1. This is a day to allow the fire to burn and to “let it be.”
To all my relations, may we call upon Divine Agency to see the Light of every way. May we see to see what we can learn, instead of what we need to teach one another. May we give thanks that our Highest Power is believing in our own prayers. May we uphold the Blessings of Charity at Home. May we hold Love to its Highest Standard, and Faith in our own Prayers for the chosen family we Love. May our Mission to be for them to believe in the Power of their own prayers, and their own Divine Ways of Knowing.
We are Completing a Year guided by an Intention of Patience to See the Big Picture. May we Apply the Highest Light that shined for a whole year, a Time when we saw the Truth of everything we are, to Dream Everything we still Could Be, if we Apply our own Faith in the TRUTH of Answered Prayers.

HOLDING THE WAY OF THE JAGUAR: The Power of Gratitude
I’m grateful for the Divine Laws of the Universe.
BUILDING A SANCTUARY WITHIN
The Universal Law of Creation is “As Above, So Below.” It means that whatever is created in one realm is balanced in all others. Answered Prayer is Seeing and Believing the Reality of Experience. We can create the Sanctuary where we will go. Given the Deer’s Mission to turn to an altar, we’re free to choose whatever we want the Sanctuary to be. The Circle was the first symbol, that defines a Dimension without and within. We can choose what beauty we will always see there, or the Places where our Sanctuary can go to see any place in Time. The limit is our imagination. Faith Grows at an altar every time we turn there to Remember.
The way YOU Love is Divine Genius.

1 Reed/BEN (Cherokee, Reed/I’HYA)
Galactic Tone 1: Unity. One is the beginning of all things, the first, the whole and the all in one. One’s are assertive and self-guided and give a good push to whatever project they are associated with. One persons work best when meeting a challenge. Do not expect One-persons to be attentive to details or to put the finishing touches on things.
Reed/BEN: Reed persons are the spiritual essence, protectors and guiding light for family and home. They are competent speakers who will take up a cause. Very tough and analytical, Reeds endeavor to bring peace, harmony and order to all o their relations. Reeds are blessed with great skill at negotiations and consoling which are very often put to the test. Although Reeds need a lot of appreciation, may have marriage or business problems because of inflexible vies and high expectations, which erode affinity. The lesson for Reed is to be like a garden hose, not a steel pipe. Bless or repair your house.
Cherokee, Reed/I’HYA: REED- Symbol-Reed is the Earth, reflection of the Star Chaga of Pollux. Reed made up the Magician Twins who led the journey to bring back to life the daughter of the Sun. The Casket is Gemini. Energy for Intellectual minds, creation, re-creation, new directions, breaking the ties that bind. A trailblazer and leader. From the East, direction of success and happiness, no matter what route is taken, always ending up in the Light.

By providing the original text, I hope to offer a way to see what inspired my thoughts and by including all the aspects – allow for something more to inspire you. Mayan descriptions are those written by Ian Lungold. Cherokee descriptions came from multiple sources.
