THE TRECENA OF SERPENT/CHICCHAN: GIFTS OF SPIRIT
MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
Tone 9 raises the Intention of Patience. 9 is the Sacred Number of Completion. In the 9th hour of Light, we’ve finished the work of Creation and by Divine Design, we all step back to see what we’ve done.
It is said that there is great suffering to bear, if we fail to follow this thought. Tone 9 is the Patience to see the Bigger Picture, the Whole Truth. The first Truth was something we Asked the Divine One to Know. We were changed by the Truth on Tone 8. There is always more to see. Tone 9 helps us see the Reason Why we Know the Truth. In the Bigger Picture we see the Cause and the Effect.
One Divine Creation always begets another, when we know how “we pulled it off.” In this case the Higher Truth is that we fell short by our own Human limitations, but in our Heart we held the “pure spirit” of our Intention. We didn’t fail when we turned back to a Human way. When we saw it, we recoiled and turned away. We are Operating Perfectly when we do that.
Reed/BEN is the Guiding Light for Home and Family. We were changed by the Truth that Humanity is the One created to complete the Creation of Beauty. The Creator’s dream for us is so high, we’ll never see the end on Earth, though we can Imagine our Heart’s Desire and it will be touched by the Creator’s hand with the Perception of Beauty.
The glyph illustrates an altar. Above are 2 channels of Light shining on the altar table. Below, the thatched prayer rugs where Human kneels in Humility. BEN represents the Divine Inheritance we create to carry on. BEN is the essence of thought we feel when we’re in charge of the little ones. We have the Sense to be on our best behavior. BEN raises the Higher Truth of How it happens and the Reasons Why.
BEN reminds us to lead with a “garden hose” and not a “steel pipe.” We were all given the Sacred Right of Choice and our own Sanctuary of Consciousness. We have to find the Truth for our Self. It’s all hard knocks, stumbling over what we can’t see. BEN’s Wisdom is to believe in your own way, and your own prayers for the children. Believe in the One to share the Truth. The ways of Spirit are an opposite reflection of Human’s way. We always learn something when we ask the children what they think.
Reed/BEN resides in the East, the Direction of the Sunrise and Divine Inspiration for a New Beginning. In the 6th uinal of the Tzolk’in, the Higher Intention is the Flow of Spirit. We’re called to jump in to the River of Life for ALL the things we are. We are Growing a Tree of Life in each round of the Tzolk’in. We are in the final climbs of the 2nd Season, grown to Maturity from a Seed. The buds have set on our limbs and flowers are ready to bloom.
The Season compares to the Life we Live as the Mother and the Father. We’re the ones in charge to carry on. We grew up and learned we could Love another, even greater than our Self. We are claiming the Mother’s Love that hides behind the surface. (It’s the Love that yells for you to stop playing in the street.) The Mayan god is a Divine Mother with claws that rules with the Divine Father, the meaning of Time. Nothing can mess with us now with a Divine Mother in charge. She’s an Angel and a Warrior for the little ones she loves.
The Element of Fire holds the Power of Transmutation to burn through the matters of our flesh, and share the “lighting in our blood.”
The Truth that brings Joy to our Heart is Knowing we can Know more than we’ve known before. We really love it, when we don’t ask – and figure it out for our Self. There is something here to figure out, and something to Know.
On a planetary scale, we are all intended to manifest a Divine Truth in the Haab year guided by 10 Wind/IK. The Truth will be an Act of God, from the Breath of Life and the Breath of Spirit.
To all my relations, may we use the Momentum of the 6th uinal to invest all the Time we can kneeling to the One Above. Life can be the Sacred Ceremony when we Live with the One. The Reed is the “hollow bone.” When the flesh is burned away, the Light will shine through. There is a place for 2… both sides of our Self, and the One and “the other.” At an altar we see we can Create what “the other” will be. We can Let Them Be Light.
Don’t forget the Sacred Breath to bring the Offering of Oxygen to the Fire.
in lak’ech, i am another you

9 Reed/BEN (Cherokee, Reed/I’HYA)
Galactic Tone 9: Patience. The energy of Nine is one of the getting a better perspective of the bigger picture. With the energy of Nine plans or patterns begin to come to completion. Nine requires patience and perseverance that is found in the bigger picture, otherwise there is great suffering from the lack of insight. The completion of cycles of action is all-important to Nine.
Reed/BEN: Reed persons are the spiritual essence, protectors and guiding light for family and home. They are competent speakers who will take up a cause. Very tough and analytical, Reeds endeavor to bring peace, harmony and order to all o their relations. Reeds are blessed with great skill at negotiations and consoling which are very often put to the test. Although Reeds need a lot of appreciation, may have marriage or business problems because of inflexible vies and high expectations, which erode affinity. The lesson for Reed is to be like a garden hose, not a steel pipe. Bless or repair your house.
Cherokee, Reed/I’HYA: Symbol-Reed is the Earth, reflection of the Star Chaga of Pollux. Reed made up the Magician Twins who led the journey to bring back to life the daughter of the Sun. The Casket is Gemini. Energy for Intellectual minds, creation, re-creation, new directions, breaking the ties that bind. A trailblazer and leader. From the East, direction of success and happiness, no matter what route is taken, always ending up in the Light.
