5 Earth/CABAN
Greetings Kin,
Tone 5 is a day of Empowerment. The Center of the Cube symbolizes human’s central, intelligent, organizing force for managing the resources, substance, and knowledge for application. Tone 5 gather’s all the resources for the last steps of our climb.
On Tone 5 we take inventory of our Spiritual Tools, the Truth of the Power of Love and the Divine Resources of Wisdom at Hand. Tone 5 represents our Inherent thoughts to discern the Means and the Way for creation.
Earth/CABAN is a Day Sign of Empowerment. CABAN is symbolized as Mother Earth, as the Source of Everything Known to Human. From the micro to the macro, Mother Earth proves the Integrity of a Divine Design.
The K’iche Maya Day Sign is No’j, a Sacred Word that marks a day of wisdom and knowledge. The glyph illustrates 3 Sources of Knowing that make up our Body of Consciousness. The horizontal line represents human’s linear thoughts. The wavy line symbolizes our imagination, and the floating circles, our Spirit’s Consciousness of the Divine.
CABAN resides in the East, the Direction of the Sunrise and the Element of Fire. From the East the Sun brings Divine Inspiration for a New Day. Fire is the Element with the power of transmutation – changing things from one form of being to another.
CABAN is a nahaul/essence of Movement. Mother Earth creates Time by Movement. Time is the Divine Means through which Human is offered the Wisdom of Experience. To draw from the resources of All Knowledge, we have to keep moving on.

Ollin SOURCE: Stanford University
The Aztec Day Sign is the Ollin (all-in), a symbol that resides at the center of the calendar, marking 20 Observations of Time. Ollin simply means Movement. Moving forward by our Conscious Intentions, over Time we Define our Identity. Ollin is a day that offers a vision of who we are becoming, and a day to Move with all our Heart in the direction of our own Truth toward the Light of our Dream.
Ollin is said to be a “lucky” day for the “active principle” and an “unlucky” day for the “passive principle.” This is not a day to just “go along,” but to move forward with Consciousness of a Meaning and Purpose.
The Cherokee Day Sign is the Heron, a nahaul of perpetual migration. A Heron knows the way to the next field that is Multiplying to Abundance. The Heron is also a symbol of the Phoenix that rises to a New Life from the ashes of its past.
CABAN holds the Element of Fire that can change us from one perspective to another. Old illusions and fears can be burned away as we clearly see how they no longer serve a worthy purpose. The Reed/BEN trecena has been guiding us to see all the Divine Resources at hand. Our Heart is connected to the Light of Divine Love and our Mind shares the Consciousness of ALL Time. Guided by Divine Inspiration, Mother Earth holds the Ways and Means for every Human creation.
Our Passion is stirred by the Fire of CABAN and the Light of Inspiration. 5 CABAN is the Dawning that within us, there is a Dream that we were Designed to Create for the Whole. We see what we could become, drawn from talents and interests we Love.
Earth/CABAN is the dynamic illustration of Moving Forward with Passion, Love, and a Divine Purpose. The Cherokee Heron is the nahaul who carries out life as a perpetual migration. The Heron is always moving away from the Abundance it finds to reach a Greater Blessing. Heron is also the symbol of the Phoenix who rises from the ashes of its past. CABAN encourages us to Reach for Higher Meaning and Purpose with all our Heart.
A dream that seemed to be far off in the future may suddenly reveal the Truth that it is only a Matter of Time. The Ollin marks 20 Places in Time. Like the alarm bell for a Divine Migration, we are called to take flight. The Wildebeest are triggered by a scent and a dream of a place where fields are green and there’s water to support the new life growing within. On Tone 5 we Feel we have the Wisdom, the Ways and Means, and NOW is the Time to move with all our heart.
On CABAN we hold the Consciousness of Knowing. We realize the faculties we were given to direct our thoughts, and that We can move our Faith to Believe through an application of Love, Forgiveness, and Understanding. We feel a new power to carry out the journey.
To all my relations, may we offer our Blessings to Mother Earth and the Fire of her Compassionate Love that burns within. May we listen to the Sound of Her Beating Heart – through the Hearts of Humanity, and through the Joy of all living things. May we thank the Creator for the Power and Intention to Move us to a Time and Place where Life and Love can grow and multiply. May we run to an altar to thank the Only One that could have dreamed such Divine ways and means, and offered the Gift without any conditions. With an Intention of Love, our Wisdom will grow no matter which way we turn.
Creating is not TRYING To Be, but Living as who we Really Are. A Divine Mother shared the Passion to Love and never stops. May we give thanks for the Light of Possibility that we will Know is the Truth, and Moving by the Wisdom of our “better angels” can only lead to our Highest Hopes and our Highest Aspirations of Love.
May we Give Thanks for Knowing and Remember to think once, think twice, and Divinely think again to See the Truth that guides the way.
in lak’ech, i am another you

JAGUAR 21-DAY JOURNEY OF GRATITUDE: Day 4
I’m grateful that a Divine Mind of Consciousness can speak directly to our heart so we will KNOW, we CAN, and WE WILL. We’ve walked all this way in the darkness. NOW we can See by the Light and nothing can stand in our way.

5 Earth/CABAN (Cherokee, Heron/GUWI’SGUWI)
Galactic Tone 5: Empowerment. At the center of the cube we find Five. Five is an intelligent, organizing force which manages communications and materials, knowledge and application. Fives are natural net workers who gather what is needed. These persons can probe directly to the core of any situation making them excellent investigators.
Earth/Caban: Earth/Caban: Keeper of the garden of Earth. Profound synchronistic connections to Earth’s natural cycles and energies provide power of creations and memories of ancient wisdom. Earth persons help dispel bad intentions, habits and ideas. This makes them very good counselors and masters of all arts. Studious and intelligent, Earth persons endeavor to bring a flow of natural order to all aspects of life. Being connected to the dynamic forces of nature, Earth persons need much liberty to facilitate their expression of migration or the sending of long distance communications such as the whales, elephants, birds and many other creatures. Sometimes Earth’s delicate sensitivities are upset resulting in quakes of emotion even the display of volcanic temper.
Cherokee, Heron/GUWI’SGUWI: Sign of movement, of perpetual motion, recycling, regeneration; environmentalists fighting for the underdog. Heron is mentally alert, rational, yet opinionated; has a great faith in people and in the divine plan, holding the magic of ministry, medicine, marketing and matchmaking; healing abilities, especially with crystals; negotiation and mediation energy. Heron is symbolized by Deneb, located in the Northern Cross beside the Milky Way. “The Northern Cross is the Tree of Life, Beside the Milky Way River & Perched atop is Guwi’ sguwi, the Cherokee Heron Spirit Bird, comparable to the Egyptian Phoenix. One Myth has it that a Beautiful Young Maiden (the Heron Spirit Bird) fell from the Tree of Life in the Sky Vault, & Found no Place to Land on the Primordial Sea. Turtle came to the Surface of the Water & gave her a Place to Land. She nested & Laid her Cosmic Egg, From which came all Life on Earth.” (Cherokee Astrology: Animal, Medicine in the Stars, Raven Hall)

By providing the original text, I hope to offer a way to see what inspired my thoughts and by including all the aspects – allow for something more to inspire you. Mayan descriptions are those written by Ian Lungold. Cherokee descriptions came from multiple sources.
