LUNAR OCCULTATION OF SATURN: This morning along a path of totality stretching from South America to Europe, sky watchers saw the full Moon swallow Saturn. The lunar occultation lasted more than 45 minutes and produced some very rare photos of ringed Saturn near the cratered edge of the Moon. Browse the gallery!
We’ll see a repeat performance on September 17, 2024. The Lunar Occultation of Saturn is a rare event, happening twice every 18 years.

Astrological Aspects: Saturn Conjunct Moon
Saturn is known as the taskmaster that holds our feet to the fire. Procrastination comes to an end when Saturn resides in your Sun sign, where it stays for two years. Saturn is generally associated with the balance of Karma. The Moon represents our body of emotions.
The effects can be an extreme from both ends of the scale. It’s time ordered to seek our own counsel. We buckle down to complete “the work” from the faculties of reason. If we turn to our emotions for discernment, we’re likely to run and hide from Saturn’s heavy handed balancing of the scales.
We can feel off-balance when Saturn stations in our sign. When we’re “in bed” with Saturn, its weight and gravity can feel like clinging to your side of the mattress. It take an extra effort to stand upright. Something that we’ve been avoiding or “wishing away” for years can reach it’s threshold.
It’s time to seek our own counsel. Saturn is choosy about the company we keep. It’s better to have no friends, than to be in the company of those who don’t have our best interests at heart. It can be good karma if we approach the challenge from a balanced perspective. If we react out of our emotions, we’ll be tricked into thinking we can “get away with it.”
Passing behind the Moon, we’re called to the Highest Integrity of our Heart and Mind. Any tough choices we have to make can be carried out from a Heart of Compassion without bending to the will of others.
Saturn is said to leave a gift when it moves on. We can feel a new strength and ease to stand in Faith. After a weight is lifted, we could finally get a good night’s sleep.
The aspect can be “good karma” or “bad karma” depending on which route we choose to navigate the territory. When we are invested in the “good fight” we have everything to gain and nothing to lose when we see from a Higher Perspective a Divine Father with the power and authority to enforce the Balance of the Universal Law of Love.

Galactic Tone 1: Unity. The beginning of all things, the first and the whole, the all of one, assertive and self guided these persons give a good push to whatever project they are associated. One persons work best when meeting a challenge. Do not expect one person’s to be attentive to details or put the finishing touches on things.
Crocodile/IMIX: Crocodile receives messages of primal creative force; simply the beginning of all things. Crocodiles who follow their hearts are seen as genius. There is no order to the primal messages, so Crocodile persons should direct their energies toward practical and cooperative efforts to bring productive results. Crocodiles have a strong nurturing energy and will work hard to provide security to family and friends. Being extremely territorial, Crocodiles must watch not to be over protective or too dominating. While in these states, Crocodiles are insecure, indecisive and emotionally volatile.

Creation energy, connection for visions to learn the mysteries of the Universal knowledge. The dragon carries the source energy of life, revered in ancient cultures for power and wisdom.
