STARLINK SATELLITES ARE TURNING BLUE: When SpaceX first started launching Starlink satellites in 2019, astronomers saw red. Now they’re seeing blue. “Recently, a number of people have reported sightings of blue satellites,” says Croatian astronomer Marko Posavec. “On the night of Aug. 11th, while observing the Perseids, I captured an entire series of them.”

“It was Starlink group G9-1, launched in June,” says Posavec. “These are DTC (Direct to Cell) satellites. Apparently the material they’re using to reduce brightness also gives the blue color, for which SpaceX says is ‘not unexpected.’ The color is visible to the naked eye.”

DTC satellites are SpaceX’s attempt to create “a cell tower in space.” The first batch of six was launched in Jan. 2024, and now there are 129 DTCs in orbit. According to a recent study, they shine nearly five times brighter in the sky than earlier Starlinks.

DTCs will be about 2.6 times as bright as the others based upon their lower altitudes.

Earlier this year, SpaceX requested an amendment to their license with the U.S. Federal Communications Commission allowing them to operate up to 7,500 DTCs orbiting at heights between 340 and 345 km. If that plan comes to fruition, there might soon be many more blue streaks in the night sky.

A CME IS COMING: But it’s not a big one. The CME was hurled toward Earth during the early hours of Aug. 23rd by a puny C6-class solar flare. A NASA model predicts it will arrive on Aug 26th (1800 UT). The impact could spark a minor G1-class geomagnetic storm.

GOOD NEWS OR BAD NEWS?

The amendment approved by the FCC for up to 7,500 DTCs is more than 58 times the 129 DTC’s creating the sightings today. We’re polluting the sky without the wisdom of experience to discern the long-range consequences. In the early 1960’s it was “normal” to throw your fast-food trash out the car window. Thanks to Lady Bird Johnson, it’s not normal today. It took years of marketing and the time to pass increasing consequences to stop us.

It’s hard to say when “enough is enough.” We’re serving a larger audience from a world population of 8 billion people. And, the ones who had access in the beginning, are maxing out signals with hours-long games and streaming content. If we respected the technology for the greatest good of the whole, maybe we’d spend equal time focused on sustainable technology – so we could all play games together in the future.

That was the bad news. The “good or bad news?” is that Solar Winds have been knocking lower-altitude satellites out of orbit and out of the sky. And, the increasing Solar Activity has yet to reach it’s Maximum for this 11-year cycle. An X-1 Class Solar Flare knocked satellites out of orbit. The biggest flare, so far, was an X-14 Class that blew on the far side of the Sun. It might be a small step to delete apps we don’t use, for their possible drain on wireless signals.

I don’t do facebook. The Intention at the beginning of every creation sets the Tone and Frequency of it’s Vibration sustained to its end. Facebook’s creators intended to troll young women. It was an unexpected success when people volunteered to create their own dossier with pictures. The energy behind the business is an Intention to violate personal privacy, and make a fortune doing it… with millions of volunteers to run the business. I will not wear a fit-bit to volunteer to a tracking device that shares such personal information.

It’s food for thought. I don’t know the answers. Maybe a start could be to delete apps we don’t use that may be drawing upon wireless resources. We could pray for help with our addictive natures. When I was in DEPRESSION in 2014, I got lost in Angry Birds for 4 months. I never felt better when I finally turned it off. God can change us, by giving us something better to do. An addiction to watching TV ended when I started the journal. It took all evening to write 3 paragraphs. It was a Cause that kept me on track until it became everything I wanted to do with my time.
