The Rose of Jericho

A Renewal and Regeneration of our Spirit

The Rose of Jericho, also known as the Jerusalem Rose or Resurrection Plant, is a small, gray plant native to the Judean desert that can survive in dry conditions and then “come back to life” when placed in water. It can survive for years in a dry state and unfurl into a green plant with white flowers when moistened. It has long been a symbol of rebirth, resilience, hope and life.

By some traditions the plant is associated with the spirit of thunder and lightning used as an offering to spirit. By Christian tradition it has been a symbol of the opening of the womb of Mary, often displayed at Christmas.

Storm/CAUAC is represented by thunderstorms and lightning that creates Living Water that offers an exchange of “lightning in the blood.” The Christ Spirit within can be brought back to life in the Storm/CAUAC trecena, Time ordered for a renewal and generation of our Spirit.

That was the Intention from the beginning of this 13-day cycle of Creation. The Answer to our Prayer will be Knowing the Truth. Knowing the Truth is a Higher Power than hoping while we are still holding Faith.

The big picture that revealed itself during my time at the alter this morning was the Truth that while I was hoping and praying for the way I would like things to be, I’ve never ASKED directly for a Renewal and Regeneration of my Spirit.

I ask for all of us…

Lord,
I’m Soul tired. I need your Divine Intervention to be brought back to life. I feel like everything that’s been taken has taken a heavy toll on my mind, heart, body and soul. I want my life back. It doesn’t have to be the one I’d choose. I want the life you planned for me. I want to wake up with a new Spring in my step, wholly engaged in  a mission that will hold meaning and purpose in my life.

I know you know the condition of my heart. Your Word says:

Philippians 1:6
“I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.”

and

Isaiah 55:11
“My word that comes from my mouth will not return to me empty, but it will accomplish what I please and will prosper in what I send it to do.”

Hear this my prayer that you restore my Faith that everything that has been taken will be returned to my mind, heart, body and soul, so that I am reborn to a life of abundance. Thank you for your blessing of Living Water, and the Promise of a Renewal and Regeneration of my Spirit. Thank you for your Unconditional Love and Understanding.

Thank you for the Signs of Miracles in Nature so we can see for our self that nothing is impossible and miracles are the Truth.

In the Name of the Father, the Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit, life without end, so Shall it Be forever. AMEN.

The Word spoken by the Holy Spirit on our behalf.

Numbers 6:24-26
24 “The Lord bless you and keep you;
25 the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you;
26 the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.”’

9 Deer/MANIK (Cherokee, Deer/Ahwu’sdi)  – Day 9 of 13 of the 1 Storm/CAUAC Trecena

Descriptions by Ian Xel Lungold (12 Sun/AHAU), wisdom and FREE Tzolk’in calculator preserved on MayanMajix.com

Use the Tzolk’in calculator to find the meaning of a Day that marked a major change in your life. You will often be amazed at how your own story was written on the Mayan calendar. When you Count the Days, you’ll see how history repeats itself on the same day. Only, your Hopes and Dreams will be Higher with every round.

Galactic Tone 9: Patience. The energy of Nine is one of the getting a better perspective of the bigger picture. With the energy of Nine plans or patterns begin to come to completion. Nine requires patience and perseverance that is found in the bigger picture, otherwise there is great suffering from the lack of insight. The completion of cycles of action is all-important to Nine.

Deer/MANIK (Hand): Deer are spirit tools. Silence itself is a spiritual experience for Deer. For Deer life is a pilgrimage. Deer are dominant persons who defend the people and will make sacrifices for others. The spirit of Deer upholds the pillars of the four directions. With the power inherent in the number four, Deer pushes away bad influences or negative energies. Skill and quality of work are very important to Deer. They are presented with tools for every task in life and it is with these that they are able to rise above limitations. Deer has a habit of keeping every tool it has ever used. This leads to clutter and indecision, loss and procrastination. When confronted with promises not kept, Deer becomes stubborn, manipulative and evasive.

A GOOD DAY TO: Be of Service to Others

Cherokee, Deer/Ahwu’sdi: Symbolized by Constellation Galagina, the Stag, known as Taurus, the Bull. It does not include the Pleiades and Hyades clusters which in Cherokee are viewed as separate. To feed, gatherers of food and supplies, they enjoy rituals, ceremonials, feasts, the souls of hospitality, sociability. Freedom versus security issues often inspire leadership and unique solutions.  Combined with artistic and inspiring energies in harmony with lunar cycles, they nourish the clans. Totem-Deer:  A priest or shaman, a powerful person in general, to overwhelm an individual with one’s personal power, divination; inclined to become a teacher, healer, guru, civic leader, or politician.  Ability to create harmonic resonance.

By providing the original text, I hope to offer a way to see what inspired my thoughts and by including all the aspects – allow for something more to inspire you. Mayan descriptions are those written by Ian Lungold. Cherokee descriptions came from multiple sources.
