RAINBOW PLANET: Something special is happening to Venus. The brightest of all planets is hanging low in the western sky at sunset, and if you look at it with a backyard telescope, you’ll see that it is a slender 5% crescent. But that’s not the special part.
What’s special is, Venus looks like a rainbow:
Douglas Kostyk took this picture on March 8th from the Farash Center for Observational Astronomy in Ionia, New York. “Venus is becoming very slender as it approaches inferior conjunction on March 22nd, and the rainbow effect was striking,” he says.
Venus resembles a rainbow because Earth’s atmosphere acts like a prism. When Venus is near the horizon, refraction separates the red crescent from the blue. The crescent is so thin, the splitting of colors is obvious. Later this month, Venus will disappear into the glare of the spring sun–so catch the rainbow planet while you can!

WASHINGTON (AP) MAR 12, 2025 — The Trump administration is starting another round of job cuts — this one more than 1,000 — at the nation’s weather, ocean and fisheries agency (NOAA).
OPINION: The knowledge and wisdom for Earth and Space weather isn’t a priority for those who say “Rockets are hard.” They prefer to learn from failures that dump tons of metal on Earth and tons of chemicals that are a hazard to the Earth’s protective o-zone layer (as they also defund the Department of Education).

Galactic Tone 9: Patience. The energy of Nine is one of the getting a better perspective of the bigger picture. With the energy of Nine, plans or patterns begin to come to completion. Nine requires patience and perseverance that is found in the bigger picture, otherwise there is great suffering from the lack of insight. The completion of cycles of action is all-important to Nine.
Seed/KAN: Family, sexual activity and the magic of germination are the characteristics of this sun sign. Natural net workers, Seed people strive to free themselves and others from debt or oppressive patterns of the past. Abundance is gathered by Seeds as if with a cast net. Seed persons are public defenders who work toward uniting community by discovering hidden traps and secret influences of others. Fertility and pro-creation from generation to generation. The word dragon means ” eye, to look at, to see clearly”. Spirit brings energy of Lawgiver, Justice, vigilance and protective, loyal unto death. Ley lines in China are “dragon lines”, energy is sometimes called “orgone energy”, pyramid power or magnetic force. Pyramids and kivas are collector portals for this energy, known as vortexes. Dragon energy beats a path everywhere, stirring things up with a big stick in tune with the beat of the drum, heartbeat of the Earth.
