SPACEWEATHER: Mega Auroras, Venus/Mercury Conjunction

An Explosion of Light

SPACEWEATHER.COM NEWS: 01/29/2026

MINOR STORM, MEGAURORAS: There are few places on Earth like Tromsø, Norway. Located at 69°N in the heart of the auroral oval, it experiences frequent, intense, and easily accessible aurora displays–even during very minor geomagnetic storms. Here’s an example from last night:

“The sky exploded on Jan 28th, producing corona after corona,” says aurora tour guide Marianne Bergli. She photographed the display on Jan. 28th from Kvaløya, Tromsø, Norway.

Just before Bergli took the picture, a solar wind stream hit Earth’s magnetic field. The gaseous material came from a small yet well-aimed hole in the sun’s atmosphere. Its impact barely produced a minor (G1-class) geomagnetic storm, but that was enough for Tromsø.

VENUS-MERCURY CONJUNCTION TODAY: A spectacular conjunction is underway on Jan.29th as Venus and Mercury cross paths only 0.5o apart. Where should you look? On the SOHO coronagraph page. The conjunction is happening next to the sun, so an artificial eclipse is required to see it.

Mayan Calendar Time and Synchronicity

Deer/MANIK represents a Hand dedicated in the Service of Love. The Deer is the Shepherd of the flock, the one that keeps watch on behalf of the whole. When Human’s hand is dedicated to Serve the Lord, we are empowered by the Holy Spirit to share the Truth and the Way of Christ. Venus is the symbol of the Scion and Mercury, the Messenger of Light. The Holy Spirit reminds us of the Words of Truth that were spoken. The Light of Venus is the Love of the Father that shines like the Sun.

A Divine Communion happens at the altar of a Sanctuary within. Through a demonstration of Faith, God reveals the Truth that doesn’t need a Human to defend. Love and a Divine Communion are Signs close together, and Mars the warring one, is separated by the Sun. God knew we would all be able to see these things one day.

THE TRECENA OF CROCODILE/IMIX: DAWN OF A NEW AWAKENING

It only takes 13 days to see how Faith is always raised to Knowing the Truth of Answered Prayers. You only have to track your thoughts. Record the matters on your mind in a journal to see how your perspective is changed by a Divine Order of Thoughts.

The first trecena of the Tzolk’in is the Legend of the Truth we will realize in the end.

Galactic Tone 7: Reflective. Seven stands as a mirror to divide light and dark and to reflect all that is and is not. Seven is associated with the source of creation and the flow of Divine Will. With a keen sense of ethics, Seven establishes purpose to current and future goals.

Deer/MANIK (Hand): Deer are spirit tools. Silence itself is a spiritual experience for Deer. For Deer life is a pilgrimage. Deer are dominant persons who defend the people and will make sacrifices for others. The spirit of Deer upholds the pillars of the four directions. With the power inherent in the number four, Deer pushes away bad influences or negative energies. Skill and quality of work are very important to Deer. They are presented with tools for every task in life and it is with these that they are able to rise above limitations. Deer has a habit of keeping every tool it has ever used. This leads to clutter and indecision, loss and procrastination. When confronted with promises not kept, Deer becomes stubborn, manipulative and evasive.

A GOOD DAY TO: Be of Service to Others

Cherokee, Deer/Ahwu’sdi: Symbolized by Constellation Galagina, the Stag, known as Taurus, the Bull. It does not include the Pleiades and Hyades clusters which in Cherokee are viewed as separate. To feed, gatherers of food and supplies, they enjoy rituals, ceremonials, feasts, the souls of hospitality, sociability. Freedom versus security issues often inspire leadership and unique solutions.  Combined with artistic and inspiring energies in harmony with lunar cycles, they nourish the clans. Totem-Deer:  A priest or shaman, a powerful person in general, to overwhelm an individual with one’s personal power, divination; inclined to become a teacher, healer, guru, civic leader, or politician.  Ability to create harmonic resonance.
