Lingering Effects of Geomagnetic Storms
SPACEWEATHER.COM NEWS: 01/25/2026
AFTERGLOW OF A GEOMAGNETIC STORM: New research confirms what some sky watchers have long known: The sky continues to glow green for days after severe geomagnetic storms are over. Nicolas Rossetto photographed the phenomenon from Dole, France:
The green ripples in Rossetto’s photo are not auroras. They are airglow.
“After auroras, especially big ones, it looks like airglow is more intense,” says Rossetto. “For at least 3 nights following last week’s big storms, we got a nice airglow display here in France.”
Airglow is a chemiluminescent process in the upper atmosphere normally energized by sunlight. Geomagnetic storms can do the same thing. During strong geomagnetic storms, Earth’s magnetic shield opens, allowing solar-wind energy to be stored in the magnetosphere and then released into the upper atmosphere over subsequent nights. As a result, the strongest airglow often peaks one to several days after the storm.
“In the movies, we can see that there are multiple layers of air glowing,” notes Rossetto. “Each layer seems to have its own pattern of gravity waves.”
Because the severe storms of Jan. 19-21 occurred around the time of a New Moon, skies were dark enough to reveal this afterglow. Did you see it, too? Submit your photos here.

THE SUNSPOT REPORT FROM MARS: NASA has re-established communications with Mars rover Perseverance, which has been out of touch since December. The radio silence was caused by Mars passing directly behind the sun. Daily images of the sun from Mars may now resume. Today’s photo shows a relatively large sunspot group on the farside of the sun.

Mayan Calendar Time and Synchronicity
3 Night/AKBAL is the Light that shines in the darkness beyond the veil. Our Dreams are real in the realm of Spirit, finished from the beginning. The Dreams of Divine Inspiration were written in the Seed. AKBAL is the Hearth of Home and the Eternal Flame of God’s Perfect Love.
Proverbs 16:3
“Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established”.
Psalm 37:4
“Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart”.
Job 42:10
“And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.”
Night/AKBAL holds potential for mystical experiences. A Dark Night is the breakdown that leads to a breakthrough, when the Voice of God speaks to us in our Dreams. Weather asleep or awake, God is with his children – those who Love the Lord above all, and who love one another as they love their Self.
Job’s trial ended after he lost everything, and still had the Faith to pray for his friends. Whatever we pray for our Self, pray for our brothers, sisters, and even our enemies, just the same. God’s Dream was to gather all souls to heaven.

It only takes one 13-day trecena to see how a Divine Order of thoughts leads to the Truth of Answered Prayers. You only have to keep a daily journal to track major events, and what was on your mind today. The thoughts we choose are our reality.
1 CROCODILE/IMIX: The first trecena of the Tzolk’in is the Legend of the Truth we will realize in the end.
3 Night/AKBAL (Cherokee, Hearth/O’YA) – Day 3 of 13 of the 1 Crocodile/IMIX trecena

Galactic Tone 3: Action. Three is basic movement and communication, which begins as a vibration. Three energy is very eloquent in all types of self-expression. Communication is how Three establishes a point of agreement between any point “A” and any point “B”. Three persons are rhythmic to the core and are often restless, as motion is their nature. By working closely with the energy of Three, any person becomes more able to predict motions of all kinds.
Night/Akbal: Bringers of the Dawn. Dreamers who bring the new sun to clarify and illuminate the road of life. Thus the insecurities and doubts born of darkness of the sub-conscious mind are dispelled. These persons travel the Void. a place where nothing yet exists but all potential dwells, the womb of creation. From this void, Night persons bring forth new solutions and artistic inspiration. Night’s voyages of dreams build confidence and happiness with a sense of well being. If night does not bravely journey into the void they may find themselves wandering the darkness of self doubt and insecurity.
A GOOD DAY TO: Spend some time contemplating the stars.
Cherokee, Hearth/O’YA: Hearth’s symbol is the fire pit in the Center, velvet black as the night. The triangle in Orion. The M42 nebula (home of the Central race from the WingMakers) in the center of the triangle of Orion is the fire in the Hearth, also matching the Mayan. The Hearth is the Torchbearer who holds the light and warmth throughout the night, much as the Owl described above. Belief is so strong that the surrounding elements become entrained to their rhythm and all resistance falls away. With respect and honor of intuition combined with knowledge this energy creates the magic of the center in this dimension. Totem-OWL,Guardian of the Night Sun. Energies for the opening of mystic secrets; see through the masks of deception, trickery. High ability of discernment. Portals open to other worlds and dimensions for your learning and spiritual growth. Magical abilities are possible.
