SPACEWEATHER: The Fire Works of the Sun

Reading the Sun’s Fireworks: How Flare Ribbons Reveal Hidden Solar Explosions (NFO Inouye Solar Telescope)

A Cauldron of Light

SPACEWEATHER.COM NEWS: 08/06/2026

THE SUN’S SURFACE IS WEIRDER THAN YOU THOUGHT: A giant telescope in Hawaii just saw something unprecedented on the sun. The surface of our star, it turns out, is covered with tiny ripples and whirlpools that previous telescopes could not see.

The NSO Inouye Solar Telescope is physically located in Maui, Hawaii.

The images were published Aug. 5th by the National Solar Observatory (NSO), headquartered in the Space Sciences Building on the East Campus of the University of Colorado, Boulder in Boulder, Colorado.

The NSO is the national center for ground-based solar physics in the United States operated by the Association of Universities for Research in Astronomy (AURA) under a cooperative agreement with the National Science Foundation Division of Astronomical Sciences (NSF). NSF promotes progress of science and supports basic research and people to create knowledge that transforms the future. NSO Research and Gallery of Solar Images

Solar physicists have long suspected these swirls exist, but they were simply too small to see. The Inouye Solar Telescope, the world’s largest with a 4-meter mirror atop Haleakalā on Maui, finally has the resolution to catch them.

The Maui-sized whirlpools are caused by Kelvin-Helmholtz instabilities. Van Gogh famously painted them in Starry Night.

Here on Earth, Kelvin-Helmholtz instabilities make ocean waves curl when wind blows across water. On the sun, the “wind” is plasma. Where magnetized plasma and non-magnetized plasma slide past one another at different speeds, the boundary between them rolls up into vortices.

This could help solve the long-standing puzzle of where solar flares get their power. These explosions are driven by magnetic energy. The newfound whirlpools build up that energy, creating little reservoirs of power for flares and CMEs.

Even if you don’t believe it or understand it you will love the movies. Watch them here.

CME IMPACT EXPECTED THIS WEEK: A minor but well-aimed CME is on course to hit Earth. ETA: Aug. 7th. If NOAA forecast models are correct, the impact could spark a G1-class geomagnetic storm with high-latitude auroras.

Mayan Calendar Time and Synchronicity

Fire is the Element of transmutation. Fire changes matter from one form to another. The Truth hasn’t served its ultimate purpose until we change according to our understanding of God’s Truth.

A question that follows Forgiveness is how to change our Self. Forgiveness doesn’t mean the injustice won’t continue. Now what do we do?

“On the sun, the “wind” is plasma.” The Eagle leans into the Wind. We have to lean into the Truth of the Word. We’re not here to bow down to anyone but the Lord. The Life of our Spirit depends on it.

It’s hard to say “No” when we desire a Relationship . Ask the Lord what to do. God will share a way to stand in Integrity, aligned with the Light of the Father and the Son.

Earth’s Alignment at the Lion’s Gate (08/08). We are moving into the perfect position to know the Truth and the Way.

The Earth is aligned with the Central Sun, bending before Sirius the “Sun of our Spirit”. The Dog Star guides the Way of Love.

Isaiah 43:2 KJV
2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

1 Wisdom/CIB (Cherokee, Owl, U’GUKU’ O’JJ) – Day 1 of 13 of the 1 Wisdom/CIB trecena

Descriptions by Ian Xel Lungold (12 Sun/AHAU), wisdom and FREE Tzolk’in calculator preserved on MayanMajix.com

Galactic Tone 1: Unity. One is the beginning of all things, the first, the whole and the all in one. One’s are assertive and self-guided and give a good push to whatever project they are associated with. One persons work best when meeting a challenge. Do not expect One-persons to be attentive to details or to put the finishing touches on things.

Wisdom/CIB: The old ones. Wisdom of the ancients. Wisdom persons are aligned with the ancient memories that wait in the stone of temples and sacred sites all over the world. Wisdom people grow luck like a crop using a balance of prudence and tenacity. The tremendous inner strength of this sign, enables silent introspection to discover areas of oneself that contain wisdom more valuable than any trove of archaeological treasure. Wisdom persons are valiant defenders of family and community. They may become hardened to life and sentiment turned cold. In these cases, they need much forgiveness for their uncaring errors. Periodically connecting with nature and or visiting sacred sites will bring great stability to wisdom persons.

A GOOD CYCLE TO: Sit on a rock.

Cherokee, Owl/U’GUKU’ O’JJ: Symbol is the Owl is Arcturus, the brightest Star in the Constellation Bootes. The Cherokee Bear constellation (Ursa Major) includes the Big Dipper plus four stars in Bootes. Owl is a hunter, who stands for the wisdom and ability of all great hunters, the cunning of a fox, the tenacity of a bulldog and strength of a bear. Energy for deep thinkers, strong-willed, rigid convictions, bold and authoritative.  Owl is the Mystic Ferryman who guides Earthlings on the return path to the stars holding the torch aloft.
