A SOLSTICE ANALEMMA: If you took a picture of the sun at the same time each day, would it remain in the same position? The answer is “no”, and the figure-8 shape traced out by the sun over the course of a year is called an analemma.

Italian photographer Paolo Bardelli stitched together 48 pictures spanning 12 months to reveal the analemma over Lake Varese. The low-hanging solstice sun is highlighted.

The Winter Solstice: Sign of the Sion

The Darkest of Days heralds the Turning of the Light. Star/LAMAT is the Sign of the Scion and the Day of “pure luck.” Whatever we hold in our thoughts as the highest object of our affection will be multiplied to abundance. We’ve been prepared to stand in Faith for a Time such as this.

We know the Sun will carry on. I wonder about the first Human who charted the Sun’s movement, and saw the “sun stand still” for 3 Days. Our thoughts are turned to Spring and a promise that our Darkest Days will soon be over.
