MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
At Peak Tone 7 we find our Balancing Place at the top of the pyramid. We’ve completed a Spiritual Climb, the cycle of Spiritual Growth for this trecena. Our role in the effort of Transformation was to learn a Way of Spiritual movement that would connect us with our Highest Dreams. We are now in position to receive the Justice of Divine Reciprocity.
Before the Sum of Our Effort is returned by a Divine Blessing, Tone 7 illuminates our Gifts of Reflection. Human is the only Creation capable of traveling forward and backward in Time to re-experience our own Responses and Feelings. Tone 7 challenges us to look back on the experiences of this trecena – and the new understandings that could become “second nature” if we fully-realized their Truth. This is a day to reflect on our own Light.
Offering/MULUC is the Day Sign of Atonement. In the surrender of a Sacred Offering, we are restored to Oneness with the Creator. In the Peak Tone 7, our Gift is the Love of our effort toward new Spiritual Growth. The most beautiful gift we can offer to the Creator is the evidence of our Desire to be One.
PORTAL DAY: Element of Ether – The Peak Tone 7 of the Akbal is a Portal Day that thins the veil to the Dimension of Spirit. We are empowered for a Spiritual Experience on this day of a Sacred Offering. Portals are days when we experience our Supernatural Gifts of Spirit – our Sense of Knowing the Presence of Spirit. This is a day to Hold Gratitude for a Spiritual Gift that Akbal has prepared us to Receive.
The past few days have presented some challenges. Computer glitches, sketchy communication, and “Murphy’s Law” seems to be in full operation. I find myself reflecting on the difference in my response. My feelings of Powerlessness have somehow been removed from experiences that once generated the urge to run and pull the covers over my head. In a new and strange way, I’m beginning to see these events as a Blessing in helping me to see the Changes – the Growing Light within myself. I pray that through your reflection you will also see that the Grip of Emotional Suffering is losing its hold.
The Creator offered the Blessing of Living one day at a time. Whatever challenge we face, is only a 24-hour effort. My own Sense of Powerlessness evolves from the idea that my troubles are never-ending. The Strength found in bringing our Awareness to Each Day is therein lies our Proof that these feelings are just an Illusion. Today I Know that what seems like more than I can handle on one day, can look entirely different to me the next. Today I believe in that miracle.
These are the Miraculous Gifts that the Akbal trecena would bring. By Shining a Light on our darkest hours, we are able to see past the fear of an Illusion. Instead of seeing how we are always challenged, in a new Light we could embrace even our Challenges for their ability to evidence our Spiritual Growth.
Offering/MULUC represents the Moon, Water, and our Emotions. In the Light of a New Moon, we make an Offering of our Feelings. MULUC calls us to re-member that all Water holds the Ether of Spirit – from the water of the cosmos to our own tears. Just as we will be returned to Earth, so will the water of our Being be rejoined in the rivers that run to the ocean, held in the clouds, and in the falling rain. The Maya, and other indigenous cultures, recognize the clouds as the presence of the Ancestors hovering in the sky.
Though MULUC symbolizes water, it represents the Element of Fire. We can acknowledge that all water is Holy Water, and especially our own Tears.
This is a day to Honor our Emotions and the Emotions of Others, remembering this is the Language of the Heart and a Voice that is Heard by the Creator. Honoring our Emotions means we accept them and listen, as they speak of our deepest experiences of what we see as the Truth. Our Offering that Honors Emotions is an opening of the Heart – we dare to feel our feelings As a Prayer to the Creator. Whatever we Offer will be returned as a Blessing. Through a surrender we are restored to Oneness where we can be given the gift of seeing things through the Divine Vision of Spirit. The Blessing of our Tears is an anointment of Holy Water that Blesses, Purifies, and Heals through a restoration of Wholeness.
The glyph illustrates water with one drop suspended above. We raise our Self up to be Seen by the Creator as we open our Hearts. Spirit returns the Blessing of Seeing us in a Higher Light. As we are rejoined to the Whole – the new Love we Know sends ripples through the Whole. Through an acceptance and release of our Emotions, we share the Power that Heals the Whole.
As we stand in the Balance we can anticipate a Blessing that will equally return a Gift of Love, beyond the measure of our own effort. We’re in our Highest Place of Human Experience to see in every direction. We’re prepared for the Holy Day of Tone 8 that promises a Gift of Divine Justice. For every Heartache we carried – as we Surrender our Self, our willingness to Experience all our feelings, a Divine Agency will return a Gift in a Divine Measure of Abundance.
On the shamanic path, workers of Light are defined by the Archetype of the Wounded Healer. This is the Archetype of the Christ Spirit that willingly offered its Whole Self. Instead of avoiding the pain of feelings, this archetype accepts them as something offered to be healed. The Wounded Healer volunteers to receive the wounds that could be Transformed to Heal the World. Through a clearing of our own Emotional Body, we are prepared for a Higher Transformation.
The Cherokee Day Sign, The River, represents the Milky Way, Human’s own place among the Stars. Like a River, we are on a path to the Ocean, the place where all Spirits will be Rejoined as One. At the Delta, where the River meets the Sea, we are Transformed – holding the salt of our tears in a Body of Spirit.
To all my relations, may we acknowledge our own feelings as a Holy Fire. May we willingly enter where all our wounds can be healed. May we raise our Self up to be Seen by the Creator by sharing our deepest emotions. May we surrender ourselves as a Sacred Offering, remembering the Highest Intention of the Creator was that we would be One in a relationship where we would share our Authentic Self. As we share what we see through the reflection on our own experience, we are rejoined as the Creator shares something back. The gift returned from an Offering of our Emotions is the Blessing of Seeing our Self in our True Light, reflected back through the Eyes of the Creator. May we Honor the Water we see Everywhere and receive it as a Baptism of Spirit.
in lak’ech, I am another you

7 Offering/MULUC (Cherokee, The River/YUN’WI GUNNAHI’TA)
Galactic tone 7: Reflective. Seven stands as a mirror to divide light and dark and to reflect all that is and is not. Seven is associated with the source of creation and the flow of divine will. With a keen sense of ethics, seven establishes purpose to current and future goals.
Offering/MULUC: Also known as the sign of water. Ceremonially, Maya use water as an offering in baptisms and purifications. These ceremonies are done to bring about a collective strength, adaptability and harmony. In sincere appreciation, Offering people gladly give more than they ask for themselves. Offering persons are dynamic communicators with great intelligence making them excellent employers. Like a shaken vessel of water, Offering people regain equilibrium quickly. Also like a body of water, there may be deep undercurrents of emotion and hidden dangers. Others perceive these as hidden agendas in offering people and so extend them little trust and may even slap blame on them.
Cherokee, The River/YUN’WI GUNNAHI’TA BO EO IW: The River is symbolized by The Milky Way, the Gihli’Utsun’stanun’yi “Where the Dog Ran” to gather the souls for Heaven. The River is the minion for Grandfather Moon. Long Man is the personification of the River stretching from the mountains to the lowlands, speaking to those who can understand. People of this sign find “sermons in the stones” and good in everything. These souls march to a different drummer, driven by inner volcanic forces. The River is the “Fountain of Life” and represents the fluid of the cosmos to fluids in the body, with the energy to clear all karmic debts, personally and on a mass level with fluidity and grace. The Moon controls our fluid cycle, to clear and understand emotional issues. When you take this step to clear the emotional body, then you are ready for transformational energies at the next level. As humans, our actions are ruled by our emotions, the key is to understand the connection and honor the emotions.

I love to hear from you. Share your thoughts on the day, or share your local energy report.
I wanted to re-share a miracle I received on the day I first completed an Intention to journal the 260-days of the Tzolk’in. There were many signs and wonders in the sky that day. My Day Sign, 9 Eagle/MEN, resides in the Deer/MANIK trecena. It was my miracle to see this deer so clearly in the clouds with all its antlers. Can you see it? (Click to enlarge.)
