MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL

Greetings Kin,

Our journey through the Core Days of the calendar are almost over. We’ve been redefining our Self by the new way we can approach life, applying our Spiritual Authority to conquer life’s challenges. We’ve been learning how to stand on our own to manifest Miracles in our life.

There are no portal days to lift the veil during this 20-day cycle. Our strength is meant to be drawn from within. There’s some consensus that the energies of the Core Days can feel like being half here, and half somewhere else. The 7th uinal is a walk that balances us between the Above and Below. We may not have noticed the change in our Self, though our Consciousness is about to shift through the engagement of Divine Intervention. The Inner Strength we’ve gained on our own, will be magnified by Divine Strength.

8 Flint/ETZNAB offers a preview of better days to come. Tone 8 holds the Intention of Justice and represents the energy of “pure spirit.” Flint/ETZNAB is the Day Sign that purifies us through the clearing of our karma.  “Flint beams the Stellar Ray of Truth to Earth as a crystal sword cast down along the path of a lightning flash.”

The glyph represents the tip of a flint knife viewed from the front and a pyramid viewed from above. Flint also represents the Obsidian Mirror that presents a perfect reflection of Truth. We have to clearly see our limitation for ETZNAB to sweep it away. This is a day that we can be prone to accidents and temptations presented to our Shadow. It’s said people often “act out of character” on Flint/ETZNAB, though the opposite is true. The “out of character behavior” is the Truth that was covered up. We could think of Flint as a day when people say what they REALLY think, and do what they REALLY want to do.

It’s a day to expect the unexpected from others and our Self. It’s a day to be on point. Flint/ETZNAB WILL reveal the truth of anything that has been covered up. It’s a day of “instant karma” that guarantees the full consequences of our behavior. On the Holy Day of the trecena there’s also potential to receive what we deserve… it could be a Miracle.

We can avoid pain by being Fully Conscious of our Lower Self. We can learn the easy or hard way. This is a day to expect the unexpected from others, who may exhibit their worst behavior. This is a day we would be well-advised to be careful and give wide-berth to others on the road.

ETZNAB focuses Light on the Truth and is often a day of revealing headlines. Something hidden in darkness can be brought to light. It may not seem like good news, yet it will be a Truth that sets us free. We are freed from an illusion. We could think of Flint/ETZNAB as a day of Spiritual Surgery. There may be some initial pain. The purpose is not to inflict an injury, but to cut away the darkness so it can be swept out of our lives. Tone 8 holds the Peak Energy of transformation.

ETZNAB is known for leaving a memorable impression. Looking at the headlines from the last 8 Flint/ETZNAB, March 8, 2017 was the first major release by Wikileaks of thousands of CIA documents that cataloged the agency’s security secrets. On the one before that, June 21, 2016, headlines reported a terrorist attack, when an officer was stabbed with a knife at the airport in Flint, Michigan. The chances are good that something under-cover will be revealed by the end of today’s news cycle. Flint changes what is static to dynamic. We can move on from being “stuck” in current circumstances.

Truth may be magnified by the correspondence of Flint as the leader of the Galactic Week of the Year Bearer, 5 Wind/IK. The Higher Intention of the Year of the Haab is Flint’s revealing Truth.

ETZNAB’s truth-telling way guides Tone 8’s Intention of Justice. The Truth presented by Flint can balance the scales of Divine Justice. Tone 8 is a Peak Energy of Transformation that is carried out by Divine Intervention. There can be a clearing away of something hidden that has stood in the way of Harmony and Equity.

The Truth that Flint can reveal about our Self are the negative constructs operating somewhere between our conscious and unconscious thoughts… like a Truth we Know, but Deny. Tone 8 is also known for making an impression as a day of Spiritual Revelation. We can experience the “hard news” as a revelatory gift of understanding that offers freedom from the illusion of our limitation.

As I was learning the energetic aspects of the Day Signs, Flint/ETZNAB was the first to make an impression. My personal experience of Flint/ETZNAB energy is somewhat stressful, building throughout the day with a major shift in late afternoon or early evening. ETZNAB is followed by Storm/CAUAC that brings the comfort of home and the energy of regeneration. Flint is a good day for an experiment of consciousness. See if you can feel this shift of energy.

Flint resides in the North, the place of Wisdom and the Element of Air, highlighting our mental process and the power of the spoken word. Falling on the Thanksgiving holiday, I can’t help thinking about family dynamics and the truth that could be revealed around the dinner table. Observing 21 days of gratitude, we can be prepared to stand in the Truth of Gratitude. We should always be grateful whenever someone shares their truth. If we don’t agree, we can be grateful to know another’s authentic feelings. There could be a big clearing of the air. Looking at it from both sides, it’s actually a very good day for revealing your own Truth. On Tone 8, the result can be a new sense of Harmony and Equity.

To all my relations, may we expect a Miracle of Divine Intervention. May we be grateful for a Truth we were unwilling to see for our Self. May we be grateful for the Unconditional Love and Grace of a Divine Creator, who when seeing our weaknesses, sends an Agency to help us overcome. May we know the Truth that unseen Power is working on our behalf. May we claim a Higher Power as the God of our Salvation and surrender to the Truth that sets us free.

This journal is fulfilling a dream of finding something within myself worthy to share… a higher meaning and purpose for being. “Thank you” barely expresses the depth of my feelings. 21 DAYS of CEREMONY:  Day 8
Observing 21 days of Personal Sacred Ceremony is a traditional preparation for the K’iche Maya New Year, 8 B’atz (8 Monkey/CHUEN). The New Year is a celebration of Time, and the day of Initiation for the new Mayan Daykeepers. We are preparing for an initiation into a new way of being. We can employ the Magic of the Jaguar by observing these 21 Days in Gratitude.

I’m grateful that I don’t have to lean on my own Understanding to know the Truth. I’m grateful for the Divine Agency that can sweep away the things I’m too ashamed to admit to myself. I’m grateful for a Divine Creator that knows me better than I know myself, and that knowing my flaws, responds with the Grace to clear them away. I’m grateful for the Gift of Divine Intervention that is guaranteed by a Choice of Free Will to live in relationship and Oneness with the Creator.

8 Flint/ETZNAB (Cherokee, Flint/DAWI’SGALA)

Galactic Tone 8:  Justice. Harmony and balance are the intent of Eights carefully weighs all evidence to reach a balance of justice. Eight is the power of organization demonstrated in the statement ‘as above, so below,’ from simplicity to infinity, the energy of eight organizes all levels of creation, some eights are ‘neat freaks.’

Flint/ETZNAB: Mirror of reality. As a struck flint, these persons are the divine sparks of intelligence. Flint’s innate abilities are utilized to discriminate emotions from fact. Flint persons stand tireless to protect, defend, or cure others by personal sacrifice. By courageously wielding the sword of truth, falsehoods are cut away. Flints, it was said, can receive information on inter-personal troubles or evil plots of others by reflecting in an obsidian mirror. Their valiant service as warriors of the truth must be impeccable or they will experience sufferings of accidents, misunderstandings and gossip.

Cherokee, Flint/DAWI’SGALA: Opener of the Way, a creator, innovator, stretches the mind to outside limits of capabilities. Changes the static to the dynamic.  Brings about change, often through separation and destruction.  Beams the Stellar Ray of Truth to Earth as a crystal sword cast down along the path of a lightning flash. The transformer brings things to a head and wipes the slate clean.
