MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
Tone 6 establishes a rhythm and flow of movement. We gain the momentum to complete another climb of Spiritual Growth. We’ve been focused on the elements of Creation… holding a Dream, stabilizing a direction, and generating the power to move forward. The Peak Energy of 6 brings it all together to accelerate our progress.
Like an athlete in training, it can be difficult to see our progress when we’re focused on the incremental steps. On Tone 6 we take off as our new skills are brought together.
The Peak Tones 6, 7, 8, and 9 are rich with potential. You can mark them on the calendar as the days when any effort holds its highest potential for success. As we become familiar with the incremental movements of creation, we can begin to use each day for its highest purpose. We can go with the flow, weathering the challenges that are necessary for growth, knowing a better day lies ahead.
Today, Wind/IK is the source of our momentum. The Earth/CABAN trecena inspires us to live in correspondence with Mother Earth. Gaining the knowledge of her cycles and forces of nature, we can engage with her momentum. On 6 Wind/IK we have the Wind of Spirit at our back.
Wind/IK is the Breath of Spirit and the Breath of Life. The Element of Air carried the sound of the Creator’s voice that spoke the world into creation. The Cherokee Day Sign the Whirlwind, is the spiral of wind that carries the smoke of our prayers to the Creator. The Whirlwind is the 13th dancer, the leader in a dance of the 12. Wind/IK resides in the North, the place of the Ascended Masters and the collective Wisdom of Spirit. Today we can sense the Truth that we are following their same dynamic course of Transformation.
Going with the flow, we can get further with less effort. We can let go and rely on an Unseen Force to carry us. We manifest our Highest Power by holding the same Intention as the Creator. In an effort to manifest our Light in the world, God’s Dream offers the momentum for dynamic spiritual development.
Creation is born through Breath, Matter, and Movement. Matter moving through space creates a vibration. These vibrations hold the potential for harmonic resonance when our Intentions are Pure. The higher vibration always calls lower vibrations into sympathy.
The Wind/IK glyph illustrates the t-shaped portals the Maya carved in stone. The Mayan daykeeper, artist, and historian Hunbatz Men explains this as a symbol of the Sacred Tree of the world, the axis mundi upon which the shaman’s spirit may climb. It also functions as a portal leading to the Great Spirit, through which the breath of life may pass.
“A transcendental synthesis of human religious experience is inherent in the word te, Sacred Tree, which emerged from the words teol and teotl the names of God the Creator in Mayan and Nahuatl. These most revered and sacred words of the ancient people, symbolized by the Sacred Tree, were represented in the Mayan hieroglyphs as the symbol ‘T.’ Additionally, this symbol represented the air, the wind, the divine breath of God.” [Source]
Wind/IK magnifies our Consciousness of God’s spoken Promise. Even standing still, Mother Earth would carry us forward. Human WILL Ascend as Masters of Creation. Our Shared Intention only accelerates the process, so we can imagine a World of Happiness and Harmony right now.
Everything in God’s world was created with a Meaning and Purpose. The discoveries of our most ancient ancestors reveal that their observation of the movements of the universe was something they had in common. Their capability to create the pyramids was drawn from their understanding of the Influence of Movement and Sound on Matter.
Our Era of Humanity is still discovering how this works. We can see the evidence by imagining sand on the head of a drum. A beat of the drum the raises the sand. The pattern of how it falls back into place is unique for each frequency of vibration. The sound of the Creator’s voice creates a vibration that raises us up to become the 13th dancer… Ascended Masters who bring the Light of Love to the world.
We ascended from the last trecena on 13 Wisdom/CIB, the Day Sign of Ascended Masters who found their Wisdom through forgiveness. The Earth/CABAN is building on that success. Our new Transformation will be raised on the Foundation of Forgiveness.
Forgiveness, that empowers us to see clearly, is the common thread in the teachings of all the Ascended Masters. Human’s Salvation was illustrated as a Savior of Forgiveness. Grace is Human’s Highest Experience of the Creator’s Unconditional Love. We were created to bring the Light of Forgiveness to the world.
Today we are guided to move with the flow of Forgiveness. We can let go of our resistance to Love. We can feel the Power of Loving without judgement or motive. We can Love One Another for the simple Truth that we are all Sparks of the Divine. We struggle to see the Divinity we were given. Seeing that Divinity for one another is a Light we have to bring.
We are all connected in every breath through the Element of Air. The Elders taught us to pay attention to the Wind. They said to take notice of the wind as the Sign to pay attention to what we are thinking. The Wind is the Acknowledgement by the Creator that our thoughts are leading us in the right direction.
Today we are able to employ all our faculties in an effort of Unconditional Love. We can rise above our Human limitations to flow with the Movement of God’s Creation. We can hold the Wisdom upon which to make all our decisions in life by considering how we can create the Greatest Love for the whole.
As the Element of Air, Wind/IK holds the power to change directions quickly to change the landscape of our lives. Given the Sacred Right of Choice, we can change directions too. We can let go of the relationships that are not correspondent with the flow of our Love. We can forgive those who don’t love us back. By letting go, we create a new opportunity for Love on both sides. Like Dog/OC, the Archetype of Unconditional Love, we can move on without resentment or negativity, leaving the memory of our Love behind. The Unconditional Love of the Dog always holds the door open for another opportunity to Love.
Today we can experience our Oneness and Movement with the Divine Forces of Nature through our Sacred Breath. We can draw through our breath the Light of the Creator. In the stillness of the place between our breaths, we can crystallize the Dream that is held in our imagination. On the out-breath, we can release the Sound and Movement of our Sacred Intention to share our Light with the world.
To all my relations, may we Breathe in the Life and Light of the Creation. May we experience the Truth that with every breath we share something of our Self with the Whole. May we Sense the Truth that when our Intention is aligned with the Meaning and Purpose of Creation, we create the vibration that raises the Whole.
in lak’ech, I am another you

SYNCHRONICITY: On December 17, 1903, the Wright brothers accomplished their first controlled flight on Tone 6, under the Day Sign of Night/AKBAL… the Dreamer who Believes in the Power of Spirit. They chose the location of Kill Devil Hills, four miles south of Kitty Hawk, North Carolina due to its frequent Wind. Kitty Hawk is usually credited as the site as the nearest named settlement, and the place where news of the success was telegraphed to the world from the office of the Weather Bureau. Their accomplishment changed the landscape of our lives by harnessing the Flow of the Wind.
A NEW COMMITMENT TO GRATITUDE:
I’m sharing a the “21-Days of Gratitude” as a perpetual Personal Ceremony through the next journey to 8 Monkey/CHUEN Maya New Year. This 21 days started on 11 Jaguar/IX and ends in synchronicity, on 12 Jaguar/IX – 12’s Tone of Understanding, the Magic of Gratitude (Jaguar/IX).
21-Days of Gratitude: Day 9
I’m grateful for the synchronicity that reveals our Divine Instinct to be One with the Movements of Mother Earth. I’m grateful for the flow of the Creator’s Love that naturally propels us forward toward the Wisdom of our own Power to Create a world of Harmony and Love.

6 Wind/IK (Cherokee, Whirlwind/AGALU’GA)
Galactic Tone 6: Six is responsiveness and the art of negotiation. It is the movement of volume through space that creates time. This energy in action is like the art of dance or a great athlete in motion. Six facilitates dynamic developments in all aspects of life.
Wind/IK: Breath of Spirit, breath of life. Winds embody the power of dissemination and planting of good seeds or ideas. Dreamers and planners with powerful imaginations, Wind persons make great orators and they spread the word of spiritual inspiration as it is carried by the wind. Wind is the power behind the movement of natural cycles such as weather, erosion, and cultural change. As the wind, these persons are extremely changeable and adaptable. They may appear inconsistent or fickle to others. Wind can be destructive to self and others by putting on airs. When Winds strut and boast, expanding on facts and accomplishments, they are building the dark clouds of trouble that may become hurricanes.
Cherokee, Whirlwind/AGALU’GA: Whirlwind’s symbol is a double spiral helix in rising smoke. Wind brings energy for an Inquiring mind, learning and wisdom. In Cherokee, the constellations are represented by 12 birds (dancers), the 13th bird is the Whirlwind, the lead dancer. This reflects the whirling of life. Wind is the breath of the Universe (matching the Mayan symbol) channel of communication and carries the Sacred Smoke to the Great Spirit (Source- Hunab Ku in Mayan); matches the pulse of the breath of the Cosmos.
