MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
Tone 7 holds the Intention to Balance the Above and the Below, reflecting the Principle of Correspondence. What we create in one realm of Being, is balanced in all the realms of the Mind, Matter, and Spirit. Our movements made in any realm have a direct influence on the state of another.
We can see the truth of this principle in our daily lives. Our thoughts influence the way we live in the world. When we engage in physical exercise, it influences our state of mind. Seeing this Truth, we can reason that our Spiritual Intentions are a vital influence in all our realms of experience. We can know the Power of Spirit.
Night/AKBAL is the Dreamer and the Light that Shines in the Darkness. Mystical experiences are associated with AKBAL as it makes a connection between our Intelligence and Intuition. AKBAL connects us to higher dimensions and speaks to us through our dreams.
AKBAL resides in the West, the Direction of our Unknown Experience, the “hard road of life,” and the void that holds unlimited potential. Until we see and define our future, anything could happen. AKBAL is rich with Potential. What we define as Real in our Dreams, will be made Real in all our realms of existence. This is the mystery of Creation that Human struggles to see, as an Unseen Force of our Spiritual Nature. Once we master this Truth, we hold the “Keys to the Kingdom.” This is the Light of AKBAL, the Dreamer who Believes in the Dream.
Tone 7 is a tone of reflection to see all that is, and all that is not. At the top of the pyramid of our climb of Spiritual Growth, we are given the ability to see far in all directions. This the place to reflect on our experience. What we define as our Truth will be made True in our Mind, Body and Spirit. Like a Gift from the Above to the Below, AKBAL helps us discern the Truth of Spiritual influence on our experience of Mother Earth. This a day when we can hear the Voice of Spirit and know it is Real.
We are tactile by Human Nature. We are inclined to see reality as what we can perceive through our senses of sight, touch, and sound. We can easily Believe that the Voices in our Head are only our own random thoughts. We struggle to hear it as a Real Voice. We think that only a chosen few receive direct messages from Above. Given the Truth that we were created equally, we ALL hear the Voice of Spirit. We can spend a lifetime hearing it in the background, but until we discover it, it remains unknown.
Only through an effort of Higher Consciousness – a choice to pay attention to our thoughts – will we come to know the Reality of this Voice.
The realm of Spirit is the “magic world” that was shared with Human through the Spark of the Creator. Within the realm of Spirit we hold the keys to the Power of Creation. Once we realize it, we unlock the door to unlimited discoveries.
I wonder if we all share the same desire for a direct communication with the Divine. When I was 10 years old, each night I’d pray for Jesus to appear at the end of my bed. I wanted to know that Spirit was real. I wanted to see it in the realm of physicality. I wanted to Wholly Believe in the things unseen. I remember wondering what I’d do if Jesus really did appear.
This was a quest that carried on through my childhood. A few years later at a church camp, we were given the task of going out by ourselves in nature to study a scripture. The camp was surrounded by nature with paths through the woods. I took a path that climbed the hill near an embankment and found a grassy spot on the ground a few steps off the path. I have no recollection of the scripture, only my attention focused again on “seeing God.” I waited patiently, but nothing happened. As I was preparing to leave I looked down at the grass around me. I was inspired to see that God WAS there in a single blade of grass. It seemed a concession, though I took it to heart.
When I got up to return, I walked to the other side of the path along the ridge. Just beyond the trees was a vast overlook to the River where a whole other world came into view. It was a stark contrast to the small spot I’d chosen that was surrounded by trees. The Sun and the sky opened up and I could see from horizon to horizon a beauty that lay before me. I knew that God had answered my prayer and showed me that he was present in everything from a blade of grass to the Whole of Everything.
We have to make the same “small concessions” to discover the presence of a Divine Spirit. When we can Acknowledge the presence of God’s Voice in the smallness of a passing thought, a whole communication of Spirit can come into view. The first thought I recognized as Spirit was a Voice that spoke to me in the kitchen. I was looking for a recipe. I heard my thoughts as words, “I think you put it over there,” referring to another cabinet. It caught my attention because the words were spoken in third-person. My instinct was to acknowledge it as True.
As my Consciousness was drawn to explore that experience, I realized that I had heard this voice all along. Like the blade of grass, it seemed a concession as something so common and ordinary to my experience. Yet, through this small belief, a new world of Spiritual Communion opened up to me. I explored it through the process of discernment. I began asking questions and listening for answers. By defining this voice it’s become easy to recognize. Since this discovery, I’ve noticed all the times I wake up thinking about the meaning of the Daily Kin. Even when I’m still unaware of what day it is, these thoughts have been central to my discernment for the message of the day. As I still lay in bed, I play them over and over again, for fear I might forget them when I’m fully awake. It might only be a sentence, though through deeper inspection, they lead me to a discovery of greater meaning.
I know this same experience is happening to you. If it is not yet real in your consciousness, it’s only a matter of drawing awareness to your own thoughts where it can be Acknowledged as True. I sign my blog, “in lak’ech” because it means “I am you, and you are me,” meaning we are all One and the Same, we are all like-Spirits. It took me 55 years from the age of 10 to first recognize this voice. Even though I’ve followed the path of a mystic, it’s been hard to believe that I could share the same experiences the Elders talked about. I found out that a “far off” thing was too close at hand to recognize. Once I saw it, it expanded into something more. My passion for sharing my experience is that I Believe the same is True for you. If I, who was hanging on to a blade of grass, could finally experience this, I knew that so could You… hoping for you to discover it sooner than I did.
This one small change in Spirit changed everything in my life. I found a new peace that doesn’t depend on what’s going on around me. I can now stand in the Truth that everything is going to be okay.
Today is an important day of Spirit. It’s raising our deepest feelings of suffering for a heart-to-heart with God. If you can find some time to yourself where you can allow yourself to feel it, there is a Promise of hearing back from God. You will know it by the way it touches your heart. This prayer of “feelings” is the very same prayer that Christ spoke, facing his Human fear in the Garden of Gethsemane. “Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass me by. Never the less, let it be Your Will and not my own.” Whatever His answer was, Christ was able to face His darkest hour in forgiveness. As a living demonstration of God’s Love, he had to face the greatest of all suffering, lest we exclude ourselves from the Promise. Even through Human eyes, it would be hard to claim a problem too great for the Power of God’s Love to transform.
Today’s energy holds the potential for a Spiritual Experience. AKBAL is the Voice that Speaks to us in our Dreams, whether we are sleeping or awake. AKBAL can be a dreamy kind of day when we’re likely to feel detached from reality. We exist in the Void of Possibility in the Ether of Spirit. The Intention of Tone 7 can help us to reflect on our experiences. The Truth we discern will be made Real in our Heart, Mind, Body, and Soul.
This is a day that awakens our Sense of Spirit. You can mark AKBAL’s Divine Communication on your calendar. If you haven’t already noticed the experiences on AKBAL, make a note of your experience so you can look back and recognize it when an AKBAL day comes again.
The Cherokee Day Sign of the Hearth is the symbol of the Sacred Fire that burns in the darkness. The Hearth is the “council fire” where the Elders gather to tend the fire through the night. They wait for us and long to share their Wisdom. They can’t give us answers we must find for our Self, but they show the Way to Discern the Voice of the Creator.
A single candle is capable to dispel the dark. Even a faint glimmer of a far-away Spirit holds the Light for our direction. As we move closer, we’ll discover that what was seen as a small light in the distance was, in Truth, a raging fire.
The Elders were strong in their teaching about the discernment of Spirit. They taught that whenever we sense a presence of Spirit it was right and good to ask, “Who are you and what do you want?” If the answer isn’t clear, we can bless it and command it to leave, asking the Ascended Masters for their assistance in escorting it away. We will Know the Voice of Divine Spirit by the substance of its message. The Voice of the Creator will always be a message of Hope, Promises, and Miracles of Love. We will recognize it when it touches our Heart.
We might discern the Voice of Lesser Spirits, like the one that helped me find my recipe. We have the Choice to Demand that the only Spirits we will acknowledge are those who serve the Highest Good of All. Our most critical discernment is the Voice of the Creator, though Lesser Spirits can help with the discovery. That is my own experience, so in lak’ech, I Believe this Truth for you.
Perhaps the Light we were meant to bring is Believing for One Another until we can all see it for our Self. Our own Belief has the power to influence everything around us.
To all my relations, today I Believe For You an Experience of Spirit. I pray that you are surrounded by God’s angels that would provide the comfort and safety to open your heart. I claim for you that a Call from the Heart will be met with a distinguishable response, so that you can also Believe in your Heart, Mind, Body and Soul. I pray that you Know there was a Divine Plan for your creation. Even as we at an Almighty Creator has the power to carry it out. May we know that what we see as impossible in the realm of physicality, God made possible from the realm of Spirit.
NOTE: We have a New Moon. We’re offered an opportunity to plant new seeds of Intention, today and throughout the first quarter.
in lak’ech, I am another you

A NEW COMMITMENT TO GRATITUDE:
I’m sharing a the “21-Days of Gratitude” as a perpetual Personal Ceremony through the next journey to 8 Monkey/CHUEN Maya New Year. This 21 days started on 11 Jaguar/IX and ends in synchronicity, on 5 Jaguar/IX – an empowerment born from the Magic of Gratitude (Jaguar/IX). (Note: I’ve adjusted my calculation that this 21 days ends on 12 Jaguar/IX, seeing that 21 days from Kin 154 is Kin 174 – 5 IX.)
21-Days of Gratitude: Day 10
I’m grateful that every communication from the Creator is felt as a gift of Divine Love.

7 Night/AKBAL (Cherokee, Hearth/O’YA)
Galactic Tone 7: Reflective; 7 stands as the mirror to divide light and dark and reflect all that is and is not. 7 is associated with the source of creation and the flow of divine will. 7 establishes the purpose to current and future goals.
Night/Akbal: Bringers of the Dawn. Dreamers who bring the new sun to clarify and illuminate the road of life. Thus the insecurities and doubts born of darkness of the sub-conscious mind are dispelled. These persons travel the Void… a place where nothing yet exists but all potential dwells, the womb of creation. From this void, Night persons bring forth new solutions and artistic inspiration. Night’s voyages of dreams build confidence and happiness with a sense of well being. If night does not bravely journey into the void they may find themselves wandering the darkness of self doubt and insecurity.
Cherokee, Hearth/O’YA: Hearth’s symbol is the fire pit in the Center, velvet black as the night. The triangle in Orion. The M42 nebula (home of the Central race from the WingMakers) in the center of the triangle of Orion is the fire in the Hearth, also matching the Mayan. The Hearth is the Torchbearer who holds the light and warmth throughout the night.
