MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
Tone 11 represents the Intention of Resolution that “assists every new thing to find its place.” 11 offers a Higher Vision of how our new understanding would actually fit into our lives. Tone 11 leads us to adjustments and simplicity.
Reed/BEN is the Day Sign of the Altar where we Humble ourselves in Communion with the Creator. Reed is also the “guiding light for family and home.”
Tone 11 is the day the shaman climb to the highest altars. This is a day to seek higher inspiration.
Reed/BEN illustrates an altar. Below are the prayer mats where we kneel in Humility. Above are the channels through which we draw the Light, our communion with the Creator.
A Vision Quest is a choice to “live in the realm of Spirit.” Here we get lost in our loftiest dreams. Returning to our day-to-day reality, we wonder how the two will fit together. Reed/BEN reminds us the channel is always open from our Sanctuary within.
Our Intention was to experience the Presence of Spirit. The Divine Intention was to bring Peace, Harmony, and Equity to all of their relations. Reed is said to be a good day to repair our Home. Keeping the fire at the altar burning within, we can carry the Blessings of Spirit into our daily lives to mend fences, fix what is broken, and help where help is needed.
Reed/BEN reminds us that charity starts in the Home. Those that look up to us as an example are the ones who need Love the most. We also Love our Self, and carry on the practice that we need to be connected to the Creator.
When I was younger as a single-parent, I hoped I could meet someone who could understand my “spiritual side.” I could see my spiritual growth when I realized, it was not just a “side” but everything to me. We can choose our own family where we can be our authentic selves, while we love others unconditionally.
To all my relations, may we see how a new Inspiration can be put into service. May our Hearts be turned to Family and Home, fearless in our Truth and Authentic in our Unconditional Love. May we find a way to do an unexpected service for someone else. May we be willing to admit when we are wrong, and forgiving of our Self and Others. May we draw understanding that our Cherished Dreams are on course, and a Divine Creator is as close as an altar within.

A NEW COMMITMENT TO GRATITUDE:
I’m sharing a the “21-Days of Gratitude” as a perpetual Personal Ceremony through the next journey to 8 Monkey/CHUEN Maya New Year. Today is the 21st day started on 11 Jaguar/IX. Today on 5 Jaguar/IX gifts us with an Empowerment of Gratitude.
Since Jaguar/IX is the Day Sign of Gratitude, it seems right and good to begin and end every 21 days on Jaguar/IX. So, today will be both Day 21 of one ceremony, and also Day 1 of the next. (Our next 21-Days of Gratitude begins 5 Jaguar/IX (Kin 174) and ends on 12 Jaguar/IX (Kin 194), a day of Understanding the Magic of Gratitude.
21-Days of Gratitude: Day 20
I’m grateful that we always have a place to turn for Unconditional Love. I’m grateful for Divine Intervention.

11 Reed/BEN (Cherokee, Reed I’hya)
Galactic Tone 11: Resolution; 11 assists every new thing to find its place in the universe in the process of ‘fitting in.’ some modifications must occur. Eleven is the energy of dynamic actions facilitating change, simplification and improvement.
Reed/BEN: Reed persons are the spiritual essence, protectors and guiding light for family and home. They are competent speakers who will take up a cause. Very tough and analytical, Reeds endeaver to bring peace, harmony, and order to all of their relations. Reeds are blessed with great skill at negotiations and consoling which are very often put to the test. Although Reeds need a lot of appreciation, many have marriage or business problems because of inflexible views and high expectations, which erode affinity. The lesson of Reed is to be like a garden hose, not a steel pipe.
Cherokee, Reed I’hya: Symbol-Reed is the Earth, reflection of the Star Chaga of Pollux. Reed made up the Magician Twins who led the journey to bring back to life the daughter of the Sun. The Casket is Gemini. Energy for Intellectual minds, creation, re-creation, new directions, breaking the ties that bind. A trailblazer and leader. From the East, direction of success and happiness, no matter what route is taken, always ending up in the Light.
