Ian Xel Lungold and Michael Shore, MayanMajix.com

The journal for the Offering/MULUC trecena is dedicated to Ian Xel Lungold. This is the Galactic Week of Ian’s Destiny Kin, 12 Sun/AHAU. Ian will be honored on my trip to the Yucatan over the Day of the Dead observances in gratitude for my first introduction to the Mayan Calendar. Ian’s Destiny was to share the Light of Illumination (Sun/AHAU) for Divine Understanding (Tone 12). Thank you Ian!

My deepest Thanks and Appreciation are extended to Michael Shore who has preserved  Ian’s wisdom on MayanMajix.com, and for being a friend and helper on my own path. Thank you Michael!

5 Reed / BEN

Greetings Kin,

Tone 5 holds the Intention of Empowerment. Tones 1 through 6 represents our new climb of Spiritual Growth. We were given stability by 4 Road/EB by honoring the Choice made by Human to Offer our Self in a Divine Intention of Love and Forgiveness. An Offering for the Sake of Love will return the Blessing of Atonement. Through milestones of Consciousness the Creator will guide the direction of the climb we make through the darkness.

Tone 5 is the Center of the Cube, the central organizing force who manages all our Spiritual Tools and Resources for application. Tone 5 gathers our strength for the climb.

Reed/BEN is illustrated as an altar. The glyph shows two channels of Light shining down on an altar, and below the woven mats where Human kneels in Communion with the Creator.

Reed is the guiding light for family and home. Above all, Reed “endeavors to bring peace, harmony, and order to all their relations.” Reed holds high expectations for itself and others and is willing to take up the cause. Reed holds High Expectations for others, with the clarification that its best to lead with a garden hose and not a steel pipe. Reed creates Unity by expecting the best from others. Reed doesn’t rule by authority, but leads by example.

Reed/BEN holds Divine Expectations of Human. Holding the Power to Create what we hold in our imagination, we can lift others by holding them in their Highest Light. We create what we believe and see in our imagination. Like Ian said, “What we pay attention to, we become conscious of.” If we look for the good in each other, that’s what we’ll see. When we See and Acknowledge others in their Highest Light, they are naturally drawn into sympathy.

5 Reed / BEN – A Gift of Forgiveness: Day 5 of 13

THE TRECENA OF OFFERING/MULUC

5 Reed / BEN

Greetings Kin,

Yesterday, 4 Road/EB offered us Stability by giving us a way to find direction and prove to ourselves that we are making Spiritual progress. The milestones noted in my own journal offer the evidence on the days when I feel I’m stuck in an old place. Keeping notes on a daily basis has been my investment of greatest return to my own consciousness.

Tone 5 shows us where to find our Power. I woke this morning to thoughts of the powerlessness that can present itself at the beginning of a work week… the longing to do more than what is in front of me. I know the directions, but what do I do when I can’t find the strength to turn there?

In the calendar’s order of our transformation, the MULUC trecena’s context of our effort lies in Offering a sacrifice. A sacrifice suggests that we have to give something up or do something contrary to our Human Nature.

Reed/BEN draws our attention to the direction of our Power, illustrating the altar with channels of Light from Above. The directions around us are influenced by our Human experience. The One True Light always shines from Above with the One Answer that is Central to the Whole. Reed is a Day Sign of the East, the place the Sun rises for Life, Inspiration, and Happiness.

Reed/BEN helps us draw down the Light of the Creator, reminding us of an Altar where the Creator is always waiting. Below the altar are the prayer mats that demonstrate our way of making the connection to Divine Power. We grasp it down on our knees in Humility. We “look up” to find a Power greater than our Self.

5 Reed / BEN – A Journey as One: Day 5

THE TRECENA OF OFFERING/MULUC

5 Reed / BEN

Greetings Kin,

Yesterday, 4 Road/EB showed us our way of stability is to just keep moving. On a path that’s Divinely Guided, we will always know one more step we can take. We will conquer our unknown with each next Leap of Faith.

Some steps are harder than others. They might feel harder now in this trecena’s phase of Spiritual Growth (the first 6 Tones). Even knowing what to do and how to do it, there could be trepidation in the unknown challenges our next step might bring.

Tone 5 offers the “Light” of an Empowerment. Red Day Signs represent the “energy of an initiation.” The “lights are turned on” for us to See the Light that would move us beyond our hesitation.

Reed/BEN demonstrates an aspect of the Creator that is the Guiding Light for family and home. Reed is the Protector who’s willing to take up a cause to help another. Reed helps us to understand that the Creator sees us as family. Reed upholds the Divine Justice of an equal opportunity for Harmony and Order among all their relations. Reed offers the Promise that no matter what direction we take together, we will always end up in the Light.

Greetings Kin,

Tone 5 brings the power to lead us to a new transformation. We are working to complete an upward climb toward a new place of balance. Our guidance comes from Reed/BEN, the Day Sign that represents a place of communion with God. The glyph illustrates lines above as the Light of Spirit’s descending, below the woven prayer rugs used for kneeling before the altar, the horizontal line.

Reed/BEN offers a way to be in balance with one another and the Natural World through our connection to Spirit. Reed is the hollow tube through which we receive a blessing of Sacred Fire.

5 Reed/BEN – Meeting our Needs

THE TRECENA OF OFFERING/MULUC

5 Reed/BEN (Cherokee, Reed/I’hya)

5 Reed/BEN

Galactic Tone 5: Empowerment. At the center of the cube we find Five. Five is an intelligent, organizing force which manages communications and materials, knowledge and application. Fives are natural networkers who gather what is needed. These persons can probe directly to the core of any situation making them excellent investigators.

Reed/BEN: Reed persons are the spiritual essence, protectors and guiding light for family and home. They are competent speakers who will take up a cause. Very tough and analytical, Reeds endeaver to bring peace, harmony, and order to all of their relations. Reeds are blessed with great skill at negotiations and consoling which are very often put to the test. Although Reeds need a log of appreciation, many have a marriage or business problems because of inflexible views and high expectations, which erode affinity. The lesson of Reed is to be like a garden hose, not a steel pipe.

Cherokee, Reed I’hya: Symbol-Reed is the Earth, reflection of the Star Chaga of Pollux. Reed made up the Magician Twins who led the journey to bring back to life the daughter of the Sun. The Casket is Gemini.  Energy for Intellectual minds, creation, re-creation, new directions, breaking the ties that bind.  A trailblazer and leader. From the East, direction of success and happiness, no matter what route is taken, always ending up in the Light.

See the 13-Day Trecena Guide if you’re following along with the trecena.

Daykeeper’s Journal:

Meeting our Needs

The Tzolk’in is the sacred calendar of creation. The 13 Galactic Tones guide us through a process. At step 1 we are guided by inspiration from Spirit to choose an idea or intention that we would desire to bring to life. The following Tones illustrate a sequence of steps for our accomplishment. The Day Sign provides us with a role model – an example of a perspective or an approach that we can follow.

At 5 Reed/BEN, Tone 5 presents the time for our empowerment. Empowerment is defined as an accomplished state of self-responsibility and self-determination. Reed/BEN shows us that the way to be empowered is by seeking our connection to Spirit. All our needs are satisfied as we present them to the Creator through our prayers and offerings. When we know the Truth that Spirit may provide our every need, we will gain a new confidence. We must learn by doing. It is our own responsibility to seek the power of Spirit.

To all my relations, may I be grateful that I never have to walk alone, and that a way to be connected to Spirit is always present and available. When I choose to seek that connection and surrender my own will to the Creator, I am empowered by the Truth that I am given everything I need.
